Awww more jealousy from me. I see so much fun going on, and not being able to be a part of it, makes me envious. I had my fun early in Tulsa and boy was it fun, but now I want more and more. couchie, Ansamcw, Claygasm, YSRN have a blast in California.

jamar have a great time and report back.

Did I mention that Corey Clark got arrested here in Little Rock yesterday for possession of drugs? Heroine I think. He was here doing a concert, I guess. A bit off topic, but I thought he was mentioned the other day. I always found his story to be believable.

Did Diva or cha cha mention they had someone in Ecuador? Are they living there? Come back and talk to me.

pkmiller thanks for the hanging story. ldyjocelyn that was a funny youtube link. Clay moving his feet around seems to be a habit. Hee Speaking of feet. The way they turn out I don't know if that would be a problem in golf for him or not. When he is addressing the ball is where I would think it might be cumbersome for him.

eta: I forgot to address the ghost photo question........ because I think I know the answer!!

the "ghost" image is what happens when the digital camera lens is still open and the photographer moves the camera, usually when lowering it from the eye.

You can see another example of it HERE and sometimes it creates very interesting visual effects!! (scroll down a little to the one in the middle of Clay in white)

WOW, that photo is stranger than mine! But how do you explain the pink bow?

pkmiller thanks for posting that photo. I right clicked and saved since I was at that concert. Sorry I didn't see you to say hello. It sure looks like miss lady brady hee.

Legend has it that a stagehand hung himself in the Brady and that he sits in the rafters watching the shows. I thought maybe he was jumping down to get a better look.:lol:

~

back with more on the "ghost photo" question:

Sorry to burst your little ghost-seeing bubble...

(I know I am spending way too much time on this, but) here's a sketchy explanation:

(assuming this is the bow in question...)

ghost2.jpg

does this make sense to anyone else??

on another note - what the hell are cheese curds???

cha cha....uh, the only thing I see in that square that's labeled "corner of piano" is a side view of an uncircumcised penis

and how bad is it that I saw the same thing.

And I'm with cha cha...what the hell are cheese curds.

Hey everybody!

I'm looking forward to seeing some of you at the Southern Cal concerts! I'll give my cell phone number to Claygasm so hopefully we can meet up somehow down here. And if you guys are coming to the Pala Pre-party BAF fundraiser, I'll be there too.

Talking about the BAF and the Pala fundraiser, I know Muski posted their website and info about it last week in here, but I was asked if I would post the following about their new "Dawg Tags". I know the people who have been working on this Party/fundraiser, and they sure have gne the extra mile to have great merchandise and food and auction items there.

The Inclusion Revolution Brigade Beta Alpha Group is HAPPY to announce...

A new approved fundraiser for The BAF

We are linked on the Official BAF Website. You will find the link to the Inclusion Revolution Brigade at the bottom of their page or you can simply click HERE to go directly to our site for easy ordering.

Our BAF Logo Dawg Tag is now in production and ready for orders.

BAFLogoDogTagFinalLarge.jpg

Shown larger than acual size

Show the world your support for the BAF by buying an official BAF Dawg Tag. At only $5.00 each, we are sure you can find many ways to wear or display more than just one. They also make a great gift.

Buying the Dawg Tags is a wonderful way to show the world your support for the BAF and their projects. But more important, it is a show stopper item that will offer you countless opportunities to raise your voice to tell others about INCLUSION and how going to The Bubel Aiken Foundation they will find all the information they need to become part of the solution.

Thank You for supporting The BAF

See you soon! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

Cheese curds

Fried ones are the BEST!

Clay, Lonely Boys help recovery

In June, Nederlander Concerts announced plans to create a series of concerts and special offers at The Greek Theatre benefiting the Griffith Park Recovery Fund (GPRF) which supports the reforestation efforts needed after more than 800 acres were scorched in the May fires.

Now, multi platinum recording artist, Clay Aiken, along with the Goo Goo Dolls and Los Lonely Boys, have donated autographed merchandise which will be available during a silent auction prior to his performance on Saturday (Aug. 4) with all proceeds benefiting GPRF. Items range from a limited edition poster, to an autographed book, t-shirt, CD’s, and much more and will be available for bids in The Greek Theatre plaza beginning at 7:00 PM. In addition, the winner of this exclusive package will receive hospitality passes to The Greek Theatre’s VIP Deck after the show.

*sob*

I want to be in California! Have fun Ansa, couchie, muski, CG, YSRN, Totally, jamar and everyone else who will be partying these next few days. Think of us stuck at home, OK?

laughn, thanks for bringing the meet & greet recap from ClaySiempre over, I enjoyed reading it, and honestly, I'm lazy when it comes to going over to the OFC to find things. I go read the blogs and occasionally something else will peak my interest, but usually if someone posts about something over there I can't find it.

I know we wish we all could be California girls......at least temporarily, but since we can't I'm looking forward to hearing about all of your adventures, it's just about time. :TourExcite:

Cheese curds

Fried ones are the BEST!

Thanks for the explanation!!

Here's what I gathered from that info:

the yielding, clay-like texture of cheese.

yeah - gimme somma that!!!

OK, muski, I'll raise you an uncircumcised penis and call you. (totally a poker reference I swear!!)

Good grief.

So Kenny and Carrie get back from the first day activities at the tournament. Had to turn around and go back for the "Opening Ceremonies" (Alex and I didn't go)...turns out Alex and I didn't even need to come here until tomorrow afternoon! From the random arrangement of the brackets today (by drawing), it turns out that our team's first game isn't until 6 pm tomorrow! Then, depending on a win or loss in that game, we play at either 8 am or 10 am THursday morning. Those are our two "pool play" games. Then...

I have no idea. My hubby went through the "if...then's" for the actual competition games, but I swear he lost me soon after, "So...if we win our bracket, then we'll be scheduled in the winner's bracket for the double elimination games. If we lose one of our pool play games, though, we'll be ...."

Bottom line is I STILL DON'T KNOW IF I'LL BE ABLE TO MAKE THE CONCERTS! :scream:

Alex and I explored a mall here in El Paso. I do so love to travel and see the local sites, donchknow... :whistling-1: Tomorrow, we're going to walk across the border to Juarez so that Alex can tell her friends she went to Mexico! :cryingwlaughter: Then will probably check out the local color of Las Cruces, NM before the game. They're going to have Carrie pitch the first game....she's so hyped up---the whole team is acting as though their vitamin water's been spiked with guaraNA!

Hee! Oh....and at iHOP this morning? I missed getting to pay senior prices by only one year.

oh joy.

YSRN and I really are twins!

Packing?? Who needs to pack? I still have laundry to do before I can pack anything!!

Muski - Don't they know you have to fit in at least one Clay concert in this tournament?? Geez!! How rude!

Oooo. I forgot! I have to write my rent check before I leave!

Totally - we will DEFINITELY see you in California. Maybe in Pala after the concert we can all get together - or after the concert in San Diego? By the way, how are you feeling??

I guess I better do all my dishes before I leave. Who knows what will be growing on them by the time I get home if I don't.

But then again, I still wnt to read that blog and the couchie's cousin post.

Decisions, decisions!

In the end, all I want to do is :DoClay:

By the way, isn't Clay doing any Saturday Christmas concerts?

BWAH - Cindilu - I think she just didn't leave the question in the quote - is clay doing any concert on Saturday.

Well, I would be Jelus (and feeling bad, yet happy, for Muski - boo - no Clay, Yay - good family support) - of all you CA meers, if I wasn't going to NC. I will probably just hate the ones going to Florida. Why waste emotions?

Why didn't anyone tell me it wasn't going to be HOT in San Diego??? Clay not withstanding, of course.

I have summer clothes for summer. You know, shorts, capris, sleeveless or almost sleeveless tops and sandals. But weather.com is telling me highs in the LOW 70's or upper 60's!!! What kind of August weather is that? I'm going to freeze!!! I don't even have a jacket! I mean, I wasn't expecting the humdity we have here, but still.....

Couchie and ansa - we may have to stop and buy me a jacket!!

Or maybe I can get Clay to keep me warm.....

OK, it's not going to be hot in San Diego. Daytime high 76, low 68. It may be even cooler on the water, where the concert will be. Pala will be 82, low of 61. It'll be close to 80 in Hollywood on Saturday, but still in the low 60s at night.

If people want hot, though, Indio and Fantasy Springs will make them happy. Daytime temps should be well over 100 with lows in the 70s. Inside the casino and show room, it'll be really, really cold.

Probably no bugs, though!

uh oh..sorry CG...Thanks Artquest. Actually 76 is PERFECT temperature for me. Anything above 80 is too darn hot.

I should do this because it seems like people are starting to get on the road. I think everybody who needs it has my cell phone.. If not, please PM me. Also, a few of are meeting up around 4 for dinner before the LA concert. If you're interested in joining us, let me know so we can add you to the reservation.

Thanks artquest! Oh well, I am coming from the 90's with lots and lots of humidity and I seriously don't own a lightweight jacket or sweater! I think I will be fine during the day, but at night outside, especially on the water, I may get a teeny bit chilly.

I seriously may need to keep my eyes open for a white or black hoodie or something similar cause I am taking nothing but summer clothes!

Still not packed. Don't even know what I am wearing on the plane. I'm tired. I am going to bed and do all that in the morning.

Hee. Twin.

I'll bring you some jacket choices Wednesday night. I have no idea what size you are, but I'm sure I can find a hoodie or something not to gauche to carry around. You can leave it with one of the CA Posse when you leave.

:)

Safe travels... See you tomorrow!

Yep, he most certainly is. The last Saturday before Christmas, in Merrillville. :)

Is this like Jeopardy? I'll take 'things Clay is doing in December' for $200, Alex.

BWAH. Sorry about that. I guess I was more tired than I thought last night!

Oooooh I just turned my Shutterfly calendar to August. Pretty, pretty man. :-)

Safe travels to all those heading to the West Coast!! EEEEEEE!!! Almost time for the California 4-fer!! Write good recaps and take good Clack, because those cellcerts are going to be starting too late in the evening for this particular EDT'er to follow along with.

Is it too soon to start a countdown to the Kalamazoo Christmas concert? Because the lovely laughn has already procured our tickets to that show. :F_05BL17blowkiss: 121 Days! :DoClay:
