atinal
I've been looking forward to this one..anyone watch tonight? Couchie, I watched Survivor China tonight. I'm not sure if you'll remember, but I've mentioned that my daughter in law is from China. She and I have really been looking forward to this
Couch Tomato
YEP! bwah! And... heee. I'm a spoiler ho... it comes on in an hour here. I saw the TV guide channel sneak peak so I think there will be a few people on there that I would like. I need a rooting interest in all reality shows or I give them up after a few eppys. See BB8. ldyjocelyn
I actually watched this tonight -- I haven't watched Survivor in years. I'm actually kind of sad about who left, because I like "characters." I also know that the blond New York chick has already gotten on my last nerve. Oh, and the talk show chick? Way to disrespect the culture, lady.
jamar1700
I actually watched this tonight -- I haven't watched Survivor in years. Wow. I'm sorry you missed the last couple of seasons. I thought they were some of the best they've had. Couchie...there is some nice shirtlessness going on tonight .... just sayin'. ldyjocelyn
I actually don't like the GAME of Survivor very well -- the manipulation and such is really too much for me. I like Amazing Race much better -- and hated when they brought Rob and Amber from Survivor into THAT show. But I usually do try to keep up with the characters of Survivor at least. Shirtlessness? Unfortunately, all I can remember is the poker player and how low slung his pants were. On Clay? Sexy as hell. On that guy? Blech.

I also found myself wondering if a couple of the contestants had ever watched the show before they applied to be on it.

I think more and more the answer is no. Instead they are recruited by the show. I believe last years winner was.

I'm actually kind of sad about who left, because I like "characters." I also know that the blond New York chick has already gotten on my last nerve. Oh, and the talk show chick? Way to disrespect the culture, lady. There were a couple of them that drove me nuts.. The blonde with the implants? Bottle up them boobies, girlie! I hate the shows where they have to walk around in their underwear. Except for Gravedigger. Yummmmm!! And the waitress from New York....puleeze! What a beyotch. I have a feeling she'll stick around just because the ones that annoy the shit out of me always do. I actually don't like the GAME of Survivor very well -- the manipulation and such is really too much for me. I like Amazing Race much better -- and hated when they brought Rob and Amber from Survivor into THAT show. But I usually do try to keep up with the characters of Survivor at least. I was a HUGE Romber fan. I loved them on Survivor and TAR. I always like the evil contestants, like Evil Dick and Dani Donato on Big Brother. I dont know why. I don't like evil people in real life, but I love them on reality shows. I guess they're interesting. I'm still in love with YUL..my favorite survivor ever..I mean I was reading TWoP faithfully during that season... I liked Yul, but OZZIE!!!! OMG! Did you know he made porn videos before his Survivor stint? He talked on Survivor exactly the same way...very soft spoken, laid back (no pun intended). Not that I'd ever watch a porn video, you understand. A friend told me about it. I think it was JaMar.

Couch Tomato
ok sister girl -- you're going on Survivor, not PRoject Runway..ok bunch of half naked women... who could join the big breast club... I resemble that remark. James..I think..the grave digger..with all the muscles..ahhhh... I'll talk to you heh .. on the TV guide pre show special..he said that he gets those muscles from just doing his work and that you'd have to see the rest of his family to understand that the muscles come naturally... even the women. Chicken -- if you know how to do something..just do it. I think it was JaMar. heee this cracked me up..I'm like how the hell does she know..and do you have a link? I loved that entire team..surviving week after week after challenge after challnge..that was great TV Ok I can't wait until they merge cuz this FayLong or whatever they're saying reminds me of my favorite restaurant...THanh Long and I get hungry for garlic crab every time I hear it. Love the romber..Love Love Love on Survivor and TAR ..hell I cried at the wedding heee.

delu
I've been looking forward to this one..anyone watch tonight? Yep, I watched. This is one of my "must see" shows. My #3 son even called me to make sure I was either watching or had the tivo set. Tonight was AYSTAFG too, So I watched that and tivoed Survivor. I usually don't have any preferences this soon in the game. That being said, I don't think "Chicken" should have been the first to go, even if I couldn't decide who should be first. Just ask me how good am I at making decisions? *g* Delu
luckiest1
Hee, for the most part ITA with everything ldyj has said so far about the show. I haven't watched in a few seasons. Hatessss NYC girl already. Kinda liked Chicken, but more for the accent than anything else. Wish big boob wrestler girl would cover those things up. Of course my son is all "woo hoo!" He's seen her wrestle. Right now I'm feeling kinda sorry for Peigh Gee (sp?) because I think mainly she's right, and plus I can imagine how important and overwhelming this whole thing is for her. My pick for a winner? James. He seems to be very soft spoken, and maybe he will just fly under the radar and they won't get rid of him because obviously he's going to win them a lot of challenges, and be productive in camp, to boot. Ok I can't wait until they merge cuz this FayLong or whatever they're saying reminds me of my favorite restaurant...THanh Long and I get hungry for garlic crab every time I hear it. OK this CMSU. Now I am going to make the association because one of my favourite restaurants is called Ben Thanh.
jamar1700
. A friend told me about it. I think it was JaMar. Was NOT! It was our mutual friend from Staten Island. She's the one that visits all those celebrity gossip sites. I thought Ozzie was okay. But short. Meh. I loved the dynamic between Earl and Yao Man last year. I mean who'da thunk it? That tribal counsel where they turned things around on the 4 horseman was some of the best reality show television EVAH! Last nights show I will rewatch online. I had a phone call at the very beginning and I probably missed stuff. You all know that Survivor is one of the shows you can watch online at cbs.com right? I hope they do that for TAR this year. Savonnette
I’m rooting for Amanda, former Miss Montana, who has ZE most beautiful smile in the world! Why? Because Mr. Savonnette straightened her teeth! He is sooooo proud of himself! She has given him permission to use her image for advertising, so he came up with a 30 second spot just before and during the show for the next four weeks. I didn’t want him to pay for more, for fear that she would be voted out during the first or second week. If she does well, we might pay for more spots. It’s pretty weird to see my DH on TV! Yeeeeesssss!!! He’s a star! She is gorgeous and reminds me of Angelina Jolie, except that she is a lot less skinny. Now I pray she turns out to be a nice person too. So far, she’s staying in the background. It’s pretty fun to have someone we know on that show. We’ve never missed any Survivor season since the beginning. We love that show! And height doesn't matter when you're lying down. Length does. I thought Earl and Yao were one of the most interesting and entertaining pairs ever on Survivor. Earl had class, and I was so thrilled when Yao kicked ass on some of the challenges towards the end. In this first episode this season no one has really caught my eye to favor as a winner. I remember last year, as soon as I saw Earl and heard him speak I was rooting for him. I really should not get this excited over a TV show.
