the only ones that really deserved to go to that finals was Clay and trenyce. Carmen was just BAAAAAAD...I think I would rather have Alyson, Olivia or Janine cos she had the worse performance of the night. Poor Chip...it wasn;t the wrong song chocie it was the wrong gender...They only had room form one guy and it would be Clay. But trenyce was fantastic.

I just got back from the show. It was a last minute decision to go - I took a bus into the city all by myself for the first time. I was terrified! But I am so glad I did!!! I had so much fun!

Tyra sat on the right side of the theater for the first half and then sat third row center orch. during the second half. She was three seats away from me. She sure is beautiful! She enjoyed the show! At the end of the show when the players were coming out and taking their bows, Tyra jumped up and gave Clay a standing ovation when he came out. What a fun sight to see!!!

I could tell when he spotted Tyra in the audience and then at the very end during the sing along Tyra waved at Clay and Clay waved back at Tyra. Very cute! After the show she was immediately escorted up onto the stage and through the curtains to backstage.

Am I the only one who never got the Clyra vibe? I mean, I loved him on her show, but never got the "chemistry". Friends, sure. But the other kind of "chemistry"? Just didn't get that.

Although I sure loved muski's story.....

Besides, it seems to me if they were all that close he could have gotten her better seats than row M!

So, one week from today I am scheduled to just go see the matinee. I am tempted to stay for the evening show, but that would mean I have to stay the night and I am poor, and then I would be tempted to stay for the Sunday matinee, but I am poor. So I guess I will just do the matinee as scheduled....

Wasn't it rich?!?!? Poor baby didn't believe he had a chance at winning the people's vote. HA! If he was counting on the judges it must have shocked him when Carmen was picked because she was terrible - that vibrato in search of a voice thing was just awful. How sad for Aliceyn, but according to Paula, she sang that same song at the audition, in Hollywood and at Wildcard, and she would probably have made it with the least bit of variety in her repertoire. But Clay. OMgoodness that lopsided smile just KILLS ME!!! I'm so excited about the next 12 weeks!!!!

I remember at one point during Season 2 it hit me that this guy was going on to be on magazine covers and would be a real heartthrob because he was mad cute and irresistible in addition to The Voice. I figured he was a natural for Broadway, eventually. I knew he'd have a very successful career and never be that classroom teacher he trained to be. My eSP was jammin'! But if you had told me he'd be hanging with Tyra Banks and dancing on Broadway? Un-uh. Never in a million years.

Claygasm, I think there was huge Clyra chemistry. Whether it was romantic chemistry I don't know, but it was palpable and jumped off my TV screen. They struck up something that day -- and even if just a friendship I think it's a meaningful one.

Chemistry is always in the eye of the beholder I do think Clay and Tyra are friends and it grew out of that appearance on her show. Did she even know Clay before that. She was charmed by him and I guess it was just nice to watch. So every time we hear of her name dropping him or some new lunch they went on and now that she is supporting him with his latest endeavor it makes me all nice and toasty.

I think it's just wishful thinking on a lot of people's part, CG. Mine included. I did feel that there was a genuine chemistry between them on her show, if not romantic chemistry, then sincere affection. And of all the women he's been shipped with, Tyra is the only one that doesn't drive me insane with jealousy. I would love to see them hook up. I like her. I think it's cool that she gave him a standing O (..opening for muski, there). I wonder if her presence backstage caused some excitement, or if they're accustomed to have celebrities drop by?

I've just done a 12 page catch up and now don't hardly remember what was said.

ETA: Yes, now I remember. I'd like to smack whoever posted the link to Sara Silverman's video. "F-ing Matt Damon" is now stuck in my head. That is not a song I can get caught singing under my breath here around the house.

Tech question for anyone who may be able to help.....

I downloaded Windows Media Encoder so that I could convert some mpg files to wmv files in order to burn them to a DVD. It all works fine except my final output videos are crappy! The audio is fine, but the video itself is very stilted and choppy. I know nothing about any particular settings I might/should/need to be following. I do believe that may be the case on this one...you were expecting something more...All I know is that it seemed obvious to me at the time, but that is just our individual perception of the situation and it is very subjective. I think if you were expecting something more overt...then you will be disappointed. I remember the reason I found their interaction so interesting is that there is a bit of shyness between them. Clay was not as goofy and non-chalant and Tyra...who can sometimes be OTT in her interaction with people was really excited and impressed, but she seemed to also be a bit surprised by how charming he was and even a bit hesitant in some of her interaction with him...like when he asked for a kiss. To me it seemed like they really connected in a real sense and not just in a professional sense...like when she invited him to her place she really wanted him to go and when he started asking her questions...she was really involved in the conversation. I really couldn't stop smiling all through out that show.

For me...I think I observed some kind of attraction between Clay and 3 women, Tyra, Kelly and Angela. With Kelly, I think he is attracted but he still sees her more as a friend or kid sister but I thought she was more into him than he was. With Angela...I think Clay is more into her than she is...With Tyra, I thought the attraction was on a similar level, definitely mutual. But of course...what do I know?

The Tyra show is one of my all time favorite Clay appearances. It was one of those appearances where Clay appeared relaxed. She had fun with him and seemed genuinely interested. There seemed to be some flirting going on. I felt chemistry of some kind, and I've liked her ever since.

For me, and I know I've said this before,it was the stark contrast between how he was warmly welcomed and embraced by Tyra to the cold shoulder and calculated rant that KR bestowed on him, that has always figured into the chemistry question. With one he had it, with the other he obviously didn't.

I'm in Houston, y'all! There were a total of 40 people on our plane! Everybody had three seats all to her/himself! I spent most of my time organizing my new video clack in iTunes and synching it on my new iPod video! Coolio!

Now I'm in my room but am considering walking around the corner to have a brew...the guy at the hotel desk said this pub has hundreds of beers and...well, I don't know what else he said 'coss I cut him off then with a THANKS! and hurried to dump my suitcase and get me to the pub!

The Clyra? Oh, honey...those two like each other. WHo knows what/if anything ELSE it is, but I definitely get a vibe between them. It's...they APPRECIATE the qualities in the other---Tyra "gets" Clay's physical beauty and I think they 'connected' during their time together that afternoon on her show. The fact that they've spent time together since then (more than once) just proves that whatever clicked between them was important and pleasant enough for them both to want to have more.

I LOVE that she was there and gave him a standing "O" (Actually, that's not the first "O" Clay has given her while standing. I can't remember the exact chapter number.......but I digress.... )...and even better if he poked her eye out a few times. (Actually, that wouldn't be the first time he poked her eye out. Maybe I should reread the Clyra so that I can accurately annotate my posts.... )

Okay...off to knock back some suds...think about how much I DON'T want David Foster to be the producer, how much I DO want Clay and Tyra to have an after-show get together, how much I DON'T want to attend the conference tomorrow and Monday, and how much I DO want to meet up with the eHP Monday night!

I so agree with this - since everyone sees the Trya chemistry but me, I assume I am the who just doesn't see it. Except - I think it was oh so mutual with Kelly during the IT and even after. I even think they may have had a bit of a fling on that bus! I think it is now more sibling-like. I think sometimes that was born out of circumstance. Neither were in a position to have a romance with each other, not at where they were in their lives at the time. But who knows. Maybe one day. Its still my favorite shipping! I just think they fit somehow.

And Angela - I think its a mutual, physical attraction, but I think its more playful, like they know that is all it is. They adore each other, but not in a romantic way. But there is a huge difference between Angela and Clay and Quiana and Clay. With Q & A its definitely a brother/sister vibe I get. There is nothing chemical there. Not true with Angela - even though I definitely think they have a very sibling relationship.

As for Tyra - she is a beautiful woman and I hope they have a great friendship, but for the life of me I can't see more than that.

Maybe I should force myself to rewatch the Tyra clack.....

Well for me it's not even the clack, it's everything surrounding it. The clips on her website, her later name dropping him on her show - it's just a respect thing that I enjoy. I wasn't even a fan of Tyra before Clay was on her show and that's pretty much a first for me. I mean nobody else has really turned me into a fan just because of Clay including Kimmel. I wouldn't spend a second watching his show without Clay. Everyone has their favorites. With Kelly I thought he lost IQ points around her so the cute wore off very fast. Plus he could barely get a word in edgewise.

If there were more fan fiction I'd be all over the fan fiction sites totally...but my favorite ships really don't have much of all, Clangela and Clyra and you would think the fiction would practically write itself. But on the other hand, heee do I really need to spend more time on Clay stuff?

Sometimes I think the reason there isn't more Clangela or Clyra is because it hits too close to home...I think it's hard to write "fiction" if you really think something is going on or if there is a connection there that isn't there with a made up female...

Clay and Tyra were very touchy feely with each other -- especially Tyra -- and not just the kiss at the end. There was also their body language as they sat on the couch and the way they looked at each other. And the way Tyra looked in the photos with the flowers Clay sent her. I agree about Kelly and Angela -- also lots of physical contact.

I have to admit that for me--at least for the Clyra---this is a big part of my reluctance to attempt a Clyra sequel. I mean, come on! The real life interaction between them so far---at least what's for public knowledge---mirrors a bunch of things in my story...(and I wrote it first...heh!)

So it's sorta weird...I'm NOT saying that I just KNOW they're going at it like rabbits (and in Clay's case, wooden rabbits); but dang! There's a lot of coincidental 'deja vu' crap--lunches and dinners in NYC, her going to his show....so jumpingjacks, you're on to something there.

And Couchie, I really have started a couple of times to do another installment of the Clyra---but it's tough because with what's actually gone on between them, I feel like I'm doing more National Enquirer stuff than writing---sorta like the paparazzi or something.
