Clayzy
Wow, Clay Aiken and hair drama? I never knew this could happen. I like the picture. It's good for a few laughs. He looks windblown and probably didn't have a comb or anything on him when he got stopped by someone wanting a picture with him. Or, you never know. He might just be displaying his cutting-edge sense of fashion by gluing that electrocuted mammal to his head. ETA: Me too, couchie. The only time I've ever worn makeup is when I was doing community theater. Until about the last year or so, I considered wearing jeans 'dressing up'. Then I went to college and suddenly people wanted me to wear nicer clothes than jeans. I was at a loss!
Couch Tomato
boys and men don't care? I have that gene LOL. My mom still wonders where I came from. I just don't have the girly girl gene and honestly don't care about clothes and makeup and being perfectly put together before I go to the grocery store. My mom looks horrified sometimes when I leave the house. I tell her I'll never see these people again LOL. I haven't paid a dime for someone to do my hair in 20 years -- that's when a perm was put in it and it all came out. Now I go nappy..and I'm fine with it. Off to my nephew's 10th birthday. Damn where do the years go.
cindilu2
I always wondered how people would react if we posted some audience pics from some of Clay's concerts and proceeded to have a little fun with that commentary. Or if Clay turned the tables and started having 'a few laughs' from the stage at the sight of some of his loving fans. I bet that'd be a barrel of fun. I'm sure people would appreciate the humour and defend his right to his opinion. I have a feeling more than a few of us would shrivel up and die if subjected to the kind of constructive, public appreciation of our hairstyle and clothing choices that he is. And most of us were trying.

gbmifan
I have to say that I am normally not critical of Clay's looks or clothes. I really love him no matter how he looks. I agree some of the most critical fans would not like the table turned on them. I just had the news on and they were doing a segment on the Clio Amphtheater and guess who they choosed to show. You got it our man. It was during the JBT and he looked good. I was surprised that with all the shows that had been there they picked him.
Carolina Clay
I agree with everyone else. How wonderful to wake up to one awesome Q&A session with Clay! Our guy is so funny! One more WOOHOO for the calendar! The Clay Nation is up against three fan bases in the Ultimate World Idol Poll. The latest details are in the new Carolina On My Mind blog. Included are a montage by LovesClaysVoice and graphics, one of which you saw here first. Yay, cindilu2! If you're inclined to help vote, we need all the troops possible at the Ultimate World Idol Poll. Have an awesome week, all! jmh123
If you're inclined to help vote, we need all the troops possible: Ultimate World Idol Poll. Just remember, if you click that link your computer may be hijacked by a nasty virus that will destroy your hard drive. Hi guys. *waves* I'm posting for strummer6 right now. She said she was on here reading this morning and decided to vote on that Twitterwall poll. She used the link posted here. She was hit with a 'browser hijack.' Her computer is completely crashed right now and she can't use it, so she called and asked me to let people know what happened. Whatever it is blocked her McAfee, so she can't do a scan. It download porn to her computer and won't allow her to use any of her browsers. That's all I know. If you know anyone else who may be using that link, you might want to say something to them as well. The site definitely needs a warning posted. There's some kind of spyware that can pop up telling you your computer is infected. DO NOT CLICK on CANCEL. Click the RED X in the right hand corner of the small window. From what I've read, it's a hacker trying to download spyware onto your computer. It's happened to me a couple of times, and I hit the red x to close the little window. I have also scanned my computer afterwards and found nothing. Hope everything works out for strummer6. :thbighug-1: Caro Alternatively, you can just shut down your browser, or even your computer, using the off button. Whatever you do, just do not click on the box that says your computer is infected. That's how they get you. Caro, you might think about posting a warning every time you post the link, on account of people's computers are pretty important to them and they might not want to risk them. gbmifan
Goldarngirl, it was a local Flint station not FOX. They had some person talking about the improvements they have made, showed the seating and stage, and talked about the last show they were having. At one point they were talking and showing the stage and that is when they showed Clay singing. He was in his black leather jacket and black pants. Is it at all possible that this pop up came from some other site that she had open at the same time? There is no question that this is a nasty virus and depending upon which one it is, will make you reformat your computer to get rid of it (although I hadn't heard of it crashing it) BUT I haven't seen this pop up mentioned except for the mention from strummer6 via you. SO I'm just wondering if it could have been some other site that caused her the issue (unbeknownst to her). Goldarngirl, it was a local Flint station not FOX. Darn, ok, I just wondered if there was a possibility of a cap of some sort. SO unless someone was able to cap it on their dvr or dvd burner we probably won't get it. Thanks a bunch for responding. justclay12
I never stress over how Clay looks. Some looks I like better than others but I like that he looks different from one pic to the next. Sure makes things interesting. And I'm another who usually doesn't give much thought to appearance. I figure as long as I've taken a shower in the morning and brushed my teeth, I'm good to go. I keep my hair short so I can either brush it or just ruffle my hand through it depending on my mood. I also make sure to change my underwear every day. That's good enough for me although I have sisters who constantly want me to wear mascara or some make-up or blow dry my hair, etc. Forget that. I wanna sleep until the last possible second.

I saw the "thing" one time, and I know a couple other fans who did, also. I have posted the warning in all the threads where I know people are voting. I also included info in the current blog. However, as goldarngirl said, we haven't seen the spyware/virus for several days; and we've been at this for over a week. According to a tweet tonight, a ticker will be added to the poll tomorrow counting down the final days. Stay safe. This is a good rule to remember when traveling the Net anytime anywhere. KAndre
Well, as for Clay's looks - sometimes I think he just looks a mess. There is nothing wrong with looking a mess (lord knows, I have no problem with looking like one occasionally). I have yet to have know anyone who doesn't occasionally look a mess. And I will probably comment on it. Not hatin', not feeling superior, just commenting on someone I find interesting. When he looks good, I comment on that too. I have every faith that Clay has seen me and occasionally has been highly entertained...and not in that "OMG, she's so hot, I might even think about playing for the other team!" sort of way. Any dude who will mess with his friends over weaves, Spanx, and "black hole" is probably aware that he also has been less than sartorially perfect. Shrivel up and die if others were to comment on my appearance? Moi? Ahem, I don't think so.
canfly172
I've come across those fake "your computer has become infected..." yadda yadda...message on all sorts of different sites. I don't even click the X, I just do ctrl, alt, delete and end that task. Not really a risk as long as you don't buy into clicking bogus "your computer has become infected" messages. I quoted some other stuff but copied and forgot to paste and then copied something else cuz I'm too tired, so screw it, lol. Treenuts, ya gave me a laugh though, lol. I survived "back to school" and really only have one PITA in the class.
Couch Tomato
are there any excel geniuses up that can tell me how to switch text order in a cell. So for instance "Vonn Lindsey" is in the cell but I need to do something quick and dirty to make it Lindsey Vonn cuz I'm gonna have a million of them. I'd ask Clay but he'd tell me he's not going to do my homework for me.
jmh123
Couchie, go to "Find and Select" (where the binoculars are at the far right), then from the drop-down menu, choose "Replace." A box will open with various options. Put "Vonn Lindsey" in the blank next to "Find what" and "Lindsey Vonn" in the "Replace with" blank below that. Click "Replace All" from the menu at the bottom of the box, and voila.

ldyjocelyn
couchie, I know it's too late now, but whenever I make a spreadsheet that involves names, I ALWAYS split the name into a column each for "first name" and "last name." I learned the hard way with that. Everyone got back into the swing of voting yesterday! Thank goodness! And here's the first picture to make it to the Sweet 16: Today's photo poll is here! I hope everyone has a great day!
keepingfaith
Thanks, LdyJ -- it's good to get back to such a wonderful contest. What's better than studying pictures of Clay first thing in the morning. I mean, after coffee! Anyone watching America's Got Talent? Well, I haven't been, but my mother is crazy about this opera singer on the show and so I watched it last night to see her. She is beautiful. What a voice and what a countenance.
