I got my tickets -- center section, about 13 rows back. Definitely not front row, but I'd rather be "centered" that close to the front and off to the side!

RENO here I come!

I got a couple of tickets in Section C, 9 rows back. Now I've got to worry about how to GET to Reno. I so so so hate to fly, and this will be a 2-plane job, minimum, each way. I'd consider a road-trip vacation doing The Grand Canyon (which I've never seen), and Las Vegas (where I've never been), were it not for the stretch from Houston to El Paso - I've vowed never to suffer through that desolate drive ever AGAIN!

Congratulations on the tickets, all! I can so relate to the desolate Texas drive; and my experience was just the El Paso-Odessa leg, which is about five hours but VERY DESOLATE!

I just got off the phone.

Definitely call the casino...I gave up on Ticketmaster and wish I had called the casino right away. Mind you the operator had huge trouble entering my address. She transferred me to the showroom (775-329-4777) and I have centre section row 7. eeee!

The operator asked me how I knew about the concert and when I said that I am a fan she said "He's very popular".....oh yes I replied.

Crap. Wish I'd thought to call. Ah well, according to what they're getting at CV, it's too late now.

I did get Row 6 for me, Scarlett & Nickikiwi BUT it's Section F, so offside, but it's center aisle, so closest to Section EEEEEEE.

Wish we had pix of the inside of the venue but there seems to be NADDA.

Nice to hear the "He's very popular" statement. I think Clay was getting worried about being able to sell out venues. I almost wonder if this wasn't a test because Ruben's name was NOT attached to this venue on Ticketmaster. It's weird that they don't have it up on the hotel site yet. Apparently it's up on Ruben's site though???? I'm just going by hearsay.

I'm not even 100% about going. Frankly, it's a long ways away but we're trying to work a trip to Vancouver into Nicki's trip cuz we'd both like to go. I haven't been since Grade 8, lol.

I sat by myself at the concert because my ticket was a gift from a lovely, generous lady who upgraded. My seat was central but closer to the back of the orchestra section. Actually, it was perfect. I was able to see the entire stage and use my binocs when I wanted to focus on Clay's face, or whatever, (of course, I'm referring to his feet!).

Anyway, it turned out that I sitting beside a couple from Texas who had never seen Clay in concert but they'd driven 1600 miles for the show because they had found his music on YouTube. They remembered him from AI, but then lost track until a year or so ago when the woman (in her 40's, I'd say) was hospitalized with a very serious medical problem and nearly died. When she came back to her hospital room after one of her many surgeries she looked over at her hubby who was fast asleep from exhaustion in the chair beside the bed and said she felt overwhelmed with love for him. She picked up her laptop and checked YouTube for Celine Dion's version of "Because You Loved Me", which was their song, and found Clay's instead, played it, hubby woke up and the two of them sobbed in each other's arms over his beautiful rendition. They were both hooked and searched YouTube for every song he ever sang, and checked out the internet to find out when he'd next be in concert and found the announcement for the PBS taping. They both loved the show and held hands all the way through it. It was truly a special time for them and I know we have another couple of devoted fans. I have no doubt that Clay will find his way into many new hearts with this album and it will be wonderful that they will love and accept him for who he is and for his amazing talent. It truly warmed my heart and made me realize that because we have followed this man so faithfully over the years, disecting and analyzing his every move, riding the roller-coaster with all it's highs and lows, and being there through it all that we have lost sight of the wonder and beauty of his sheer talent.

It truly made me feel we all need to get back to that - put all the crap behind us, and just enjoy, because that's exactly what he's doing!

ldyj... LOVED this story! May there be thousands and thousands of like stories as this album gets out there to the public!!!

I've almost had a frigging heart attack waiting for TM tickets to arrive, so now I always get the print ones and print out about 3 copies and hide them in various places just to MAKE SURE!!!

I hate TM.

I'm glad for all of you who got tickets. I won't be able to make it out west anytime soon, but who knows, maybe I'll get a teaching job in the fall and will be able to make it if he does a full tour next year. There are so many of you out there that I want to meet for the first time like treenuts and wandacleo, and some like my favorite Couchie, who I'd like to meet again.

I will be at the Reno concert along with a friend from CV and also my mama!! She loves Clay's music but hasn't seen him live since the I-Tour and has never truly experienced "the enthusiasm of the fandom" so this will be her induction. Please be gentle. hahahaha... I just got her on facebook a few months ago and she has some claymates on her friends list and I swear she reads or watches everything they post about Clay. I haven't introduced her to any boards yet though. My parents and I live together and when she saw I posted about the Reno concert on FB, she met me at the door when I got home from work, jumping up and down like a school girl chanting, "I wanna go, I wanna go!!" I was cracking up! I would love to take her to a pre/post gathering if anyone sets one up.

A week ago I didn't know how I was gonna manage to get to one of these shows and I now I have tickets! I am so excited!!!

Good seats, I just don't remember where. I am so looking forward to seeing Clay sing live. It seems as if it's been forever. Well, for me it almost has. I went to Spamalot more than a few times, but that was different. The last time I heard him sing live was the last Christmas tour.

Since appearing together on the second season of American Idol Aiken has gone on to release five albums, his debut album went multi platinum and perform on Broadway. And it sounds like there's enough of us going to Reno that we need to plan something, either before the show or after! Of course, it's a gambling town, so I can just imagine us walking in almost anywhere after a show and saying "party of 25, make room for us!" And the places would be happy to oblige!
