There was a tweet from the day after the PBS taping on 3/12:

QUOTE

American Tobacco Campus: Clay Aiken spent this beautiful Saturday at American Tobacco, posing with some of our classic features to promote his upcoming album of classics, "Tried and True."

American Tobacco is downtown Durham's Entertainment District. Here's their website. Wonder what he posed with. http://www.americantobaccohistoricdistrict...rts-center.html

So the stylist’s facebook entry fits into the right timeframe.

Limber Reed = Lucky Clay :flirtysmile3:

That's an amazing photo - the colors are gorgeous. Lordy, it looks like the boy is nekkid!

Judging by his portfolio I think he'd so some awesome things with a great subject like Clay.

Damn, I can't get away the week of Aug.9th....three family birthdays that week, and one is my DH. It's tough being in love with two three men (almost forgot Reed!) ;)

Claymatron... You almost forgot Reed???? What have you been smokin' woman??? LOL For the life of me I cannot figgure out who's luckier, Clay or Reed????

Didn't Clay play the Verona casino during the

Lord of the Manor Tour?

Joyful Noise Not-a-Tour?

Big Banter Tour?

.. that Tour in 2006 when he wore tight pants and long hair and sang Christmas songs and used words like ... crotch?

keeping... you mean the "Oh My" tour???? I loved almost every single scrap of every single concert that winter. I did NOT like the hair cut he got between Charlotte and Raleigh, but he was very funny in both!

For me, Verona shall always be known as the "look at his chestnuts crotch" venue :lipstick:

Gawd he was yummy on that tour :Thud:

tree.... BWAH!!! The man was so at ease with his bad self that tour. Like he lost his excessive modesty. I'm sure glad Reed (I'm assuming here) got him to give up his security t-shirts... whew!!!

Creative montages by SueRue and LovesClaysVoice (with six clickable screen shots and download links) are helping CA fans mark time until the June 1 release of "Tried and True." The Inclusion Project and my oboe's scary cantata experience complete this new Carolina On My Mind blog entry.

Sorry, no way to include that wonderful photo of Reed. :whistling-1:

Hope you enjoy! Thank you for your comments/hits/support. Have a wonderful weekend, all! :yahoo:

For the techie people..Over the last week I have gotten 3 emails - 2 from someone registered here in 2008 but not a poster and one from someone I work my sit on my ass job with - she's in another country - and all three emails only had a link. I just deleted them cuz it looks suspicious. Has anyone had a similar experience. I'm thinking virus if I click on the link?

DJS how did you get your virus?

Definitely virus! I don't know if it is related, but I know the folks on the Clay Aiken Hub Yahoo mailing list were getting e-mails like that, because a couple of the folks on the list had gotten infected and the virus was sending out e-mails to all the people in their address books. I received several, but they had the [Hub] tag which made it easier for me to notice them, and I just deleted them. I always delete e-mail that just has a link, but could be fooled if it came from someone I know well and regularly correspond with. Luckily, that hasn't happened so far. Thanks for the warning to be on the lookout.

Great blog, caro!

I loved the '06 tour not only because of the nice tight PANTS and often deadly eye boinks, facial scruff and shexy hair....but he prowled the stage often like a lion in heat. rawwwwrrr :hubbahubba:

He handled the audiences like a well seasoned Vegas performer. And I mean that in a GOOD way :hysterical:

The last few days have been really hectic. My sister in law called on Monday asking can my mom come for a visit. I put her on a plane tonight!! So I'm all alone, so all alone for the next 10 days.

Catching up on the board..love Quiana's tweet. Too funny! and so so true.

I can not wait. For those coming to Reno you'll get to meet my mom. And she's so different from me. So I'll be giving her my ticket and finding myself another one. So when upgrade fever hits, remember me and my lack of a ticket. She doesn't even know Ruben will be there. I think I'll let that be a surprise LOL. She loves big Rube.

Awww, I'm looking forward to meeting both you and your mom, couchie. And everyone attending the Reno show!!

And remember, you're never all alone as long as you have US!!! :thbighug-1:

Yikes, this is the first "days off" I've had since getting back from the concert, and I'm soooooo far behind!

And then I lost every one of my oh-so-erudite comments on your posts over the last few days :( when I hit the wrong reply.

So consider yourself responded to in SUCH an intelligent manner! :)

Not going to Reno, although I'd love to.

Am going to the Chautauqua, Hampton NY, Verona three-fer (and more if added in between) :twinklewhore: :twinklewhore: :twinklewhore:

I can drive it easily AND have time to sightsee, in a state or two I've never been in before, in between. :twinklewhore:

My recap of Raleigh: I kind of liked it. :) That's about all I remember.

Full Aiken fog.

Oh!! Forgot!! Definitely a virus in those emails with a link. I opened one from my son but did of course NOT click on the link. Got the virus anyway. Malwarebytes cleaned it up.

Probably won't do this until next Monday or so (depending on how fast we burn through the last few pages of this thread -- if there's news *crosses fingers* it will be earlier!), but it's about time to set up the new thread title poll. We have three suggestions so far -- so if you can come up with more, post in the thread title poll thread!

The suggestions start here!

Couchie - not sure; when I googled Antivirus soft i saw that a lot of people had gotten it - some said maybe they clicked on something on facebook? I don't know. I prolly broke my rule of always right-click closing and clicked on something bad.

But it was a beeyotch to get rid of. It literally blocked me from running any applications. Even notepad and task manager.

And security popups constantly (fake ones) and the occasional porn page. Finally just restored back a week. From internet remarks, looks like Norton was useless, and they wanted a lot of money to fix it. I went ahead and bought AVG; it checks everything.

Oh, I got an email from a "work" name, too, and deleted it.

Sally sent the following warning to people on her email list. I don't know if this is what you are talking about or not.

Do not open email messages starting with "a wise choice" - my email account was hacked.

I've changed passcodes and denied access to the intruder.

I apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused you..

Besides what she wrote above, she reported the email as spam. I hate this part of the Internet.

Great blog, caro!

Thnx, tree. :BlowKiss:

Still enjoying basketball -- sometimes one game on TV and one on my computer. :snoopy:

Have a great weekend! :yahoo:

A different kettle of fish, I think, Caro...her email was hacked. What we were talking about was a virus which comes (or mine did) IN an email. The email was from my son, but had no subject line...not that unusual for him. It contained simply a link, and I knew as soon as I looked at it WITHOUT clicking on the link that it was a virus.

I deleted it immediately, but still "caught" the virus simply by opening the email. Malwarebytes did clear it up for me.

Via clayscience at the Clayboard:

If you recall, AI used to publish a magazine but stopped a few years ago. They've restarted that this year. I saw it in Target and saw that Clay was featured on two pages - actually very nice little articles. The one on page 38 is followed by a nice one page for Ruben. For Clay's page, they used a nice pic from last May's David Foster concert though.

The downside. Kim Caldwell got 1.5 pages and William Hung got 0.5 pages before getting to Clay's page and Ruben's page. And.........there is absolutely no mention of Decca or Tried and True (in fact page 70 makes it sound like he's been doing nothing in the music area - the quote about music, TV, broadway sounds like it's from a year ago when he parted ways with RCA). There's no new interview, it was likely assembled by a staff writer with no input from Clay's team.

There are also mentions on a few other pages, including a word search and crossword.

Wow. Yeah, they could've used a fact-checker and mentioned his current stuff, but I am beyond impressed with the article(s) otherwise. Given AI's overall treatment of him, I probably have pretty low expectations at this point but reading this I'd almost think they *gasp* like him! Not entirely accurate, but respectful and even complimentary. How often does this magazine come out? Can we hope for a little coverage when TnT does hit the street?

Completely off-topic.....:)

Best Buddies International and The Tommy Foundation are two friends and partners, as some of you know, of the National Inclusion Project. They are each in the running for an award through the Pepsi Refresh program (in two different categories, so they don't impact one another).

It's coming down to the wire now for this contest.......could we get some votes for each of them? When you register, you get 10 votes per day..it only takes a few seconds, and it is free to vote. I've been registered for this for some time, and I've NEVER received spam of any kind from them.

THIS LINK will take you to the Tommy Foundation...you can reach Best Buddies International by just keying it into the search box at the top right of the page once you've voted.

For those of you on Facebook, you can vote through FB too. If you are on Facebook, "publishing" your voting would really, really help as well.

As the National Inclusion Project will be part of the Pepsi Refresh program in the near future, helping these two now will help US gain votes for the future....and they're great organizations!

THANKS!! :BlowKiss:

Thanks bottlecap. :friends: Be nice if Clay got a little long-overdue love from the Idol machine. This is a start!

Thought the write up was pretty good. Would of like the fact they acknowledged he was really at Spamalot for 8 months and wish they would of put something about him recording and the PBS special. Thanks for the info on the cost of the magazine. I guess I have to think whether I want to spend the money.
