DLTS in Raleigh was fun. There was no Clay, didn't really expect him, but the dancers were fun. They did a demo of dancing with a young lady in a wheelchair. It looked very difficult.

So glad you were able to volunteer for this! Sounds like fun.

Can you tell us what the turn out was like? Do you know how successful the event was?

Our stint at the booth was from 3-5, after DLTS. But there was standing room during the performances and people were really getting into it. I have no idea how much they made but there were a lot of postcards with contact info filled out. SO many had stopped by the booth over three days. They were really excited about that. That guy from AI8: Dnoop or Snoop, I never saw him before, sang and someone played acoustic guitar. His voice was nice in an Usher sort of way. He did a nice job though singing, "In My Mind I'm Going to Carolina."

Of course the fireman fashion show where they were taking off their shirts and dancing around had quite a few more women. They didn't look like any firemen I ever saw.

Dang I had talked myself out of the first show, and now I think I want to talk myself back in LOL. I need more than one! Or, I need to see what show is on the weekend. I need MOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

We're waiting for a new couchie cousin to arrive tonight. He would have been the second grandchild of my cousin Clayton that passed away a few years ago at the very young age of 47. the girl is in labor and she called to tell me she wanted me to make her some mac & cheese LOL.

My mom just informed me that she was going to the Poconos after the family reunion with some man from her youth that she's been talking with for the past few months. The woman has more action than me. And my flight into Charlotte is only $119. That's settled. hmmm anybody else arriving in Charlotte on Saturday morning that i can hitch a ride with?

"ARE YOU GOING TO THE RALEIGH CD RELEASE PARTY"?

Attention: Update on the Raleigh CD Release Party.

This is a reminder that we will not only be celebrating Clay's new cd, "Tried & True" with a Picnic in the Woods theme but also having a fund-raiser for The National Inclusion Project as well.

We now have more details for you.

The location for our party on Monday, May 31, will be at the New Community Church in the Community Hall at 9621 Six Forks Road in Raleigh.

Cost of the party per person will be $35. Dinner will be provided by the Backyard BBQ Pit of Durham. They will be furnishing our picnic with their amazing BBQ'd Chicken and BBQ'd Brisket along with macaroni and cheese, potato salad, collard greens,and hushpuppies. Sweet and unsweetened tea as well as desserts will be served.

Our celebration will begin at 7:00 and end at 12:30 a.m. We are hoping to have Clay's new CD in hand sometime after 12:00 a.m. This is still pending.

As previously announced, many fun and exciting activities are planned including music, interactive games, line dancing, Raffles, and a Silent Auction.

Fear... my son is one of those gorgeous well-built firemen, I'll have you know. LOL There is one other at his station. Most are ordinary-looking guys.

Don't forget you could come to LA Sunday Aug 1. Course, if you have to be at work on Monday, it might be a stretch for you, but you could stay at my place. Fly into OC or Long Beach (JetBlue) and I'll pick-up/drop-off, too. I fly in from Reno around 2pm-ish into OC. It is so much fun to be making concert plans again. Whoo hooo!!!!!!!

So, has anyone heard anything new about sale dates for Hammond lately? Today was a possible presale date, but the show still isn’t listed on Ticketmaster at all that I can see.
