#58: The man is made of awesome!

So, I leave work and realize that they've closed the road I usually take home. So I make an unplanned detour, and I'm sitting at a red light, and I look up and see Clay & Ruben staring down at me from a billboard. OMFG! Hell has frozen over. I fumble with my blackberry, hoping that the freaking light stays red long enough to get a picture. The van beside me is inching up impatiently, almost blocking my view, but I managed to snap a quick picture.

Hopefully I'll be able to go back and get a better one this weekend. I can't believe that it's being advertised in the middle of downtown London (about 1.5 hours east of Windsor)!

ETA that I am 3 songs behind but I will try to catch up on all of them this weekend.

I'm more than that behind, but I can't stop looking at new clack.

I have been absent for a week or so and have been very remiss in doing my song thoughts. I have some good excuses-week long professional conference and the unexpected death of the former chairpeson of my department. But I still feel like I have an overdue paper to finish. I haven't had much time to read back and I really want to see people's impressions.

Have we had an embarrassment of riches or what in the past week?! I haven't been able to catch up but I will admit to watching Those Magic Moments an inordinate number of times.

Just came up for air from the Mutt Media/Popeater video & photo extravaganza to say...I'm baaaack. Good gawd that man is precious and deadly sexy without even trying!

Ya know how it seems obvious when a Clay pic has been taken by a fan? How it's all about how "we" see him and the photos are almost always better than professional ones because they're taken from the perspective of love? Well, these 63 lovely gifts given to us today appear like that to me. I think it's one of the few times I can recall this happening. Especially with sooooo many of them being real gems!

But only 63? Surely they could have taken 6 more. The man deserves 69!!

This is SO cool!! I think I might've driven off the road, lol. I've been hoping against hope they would put one up (since they advertise Casino Windsor concerts all the time) and I'm thrilled to see it!

I just downloaded and listened to Scarlett's clack of Clay singing In Whatever Time We Have in duet with Lauren Kennedy, and this will go on my list of the best Clay has ever sounded. His range is phenomenal, unearthly, and wildly spectacular from the depths to the heights. You're getting the idea I like it, right? I'm finally convinced that he needs a Broadway show of his very own.

And I don't think that's a falsetto. I think that's his freaking amazing RANGE. WOW! Putting that one in context with TMC and TITM and MTK and everything else that night --- he's a National Treasure.

Cagney, "embarrassment of riches" is exactly what I'm feeling, along with "my cup runneth over."

She really is good - she's captured Clay 'like a fan'. These are some of the very best professional photos of him I've seen. I am kind of disturbed to see some screencaps/snags of them out there with fan's tags on them - she deserves credit (and they put her name on the article and on the slideshow). I don't think they'd do that to a 'fan' photo, so shouldn't do it to hers either, in my opinion.

Annnnd, now that I've said that I realize I misspelled her name (Diane not Diana) on the wallpapers I made. Ooops. I took the links away (in case anybody cares, lol) and will put them back once I fix it.

Nope, I had some hair of the dog early on this morning. In fact I had the whole dang dog. I put the BBH videos on my iPodTouch last night and watched them in bed this morning while intermittently scrolling through the 63 popeater pics I had also loaded in. I was way late getting up for coffee, and that's unheard of.

The song remains the same? Not one of my favorite Zeppelins, oh, you mean ... never mind.

I was just thinking about this Solitaire thing. Clay had a huge night on Idol with Solitaire. He had a hit record with Solitaire. He wrote that, as a child, when he visited Vernon on weekends his father would sit for hours in an easy chair playing Solitaire. Now Clay is addicted to Solitaire on his iPad. Adding to the Solitaire theme, Clay now claims to be a bit of a "hermit." Okay, that's all I've got.

Well seems like plans are beginning to work out for me to join some of you in Chicago and Raleigh through a generous clayfan. I'll need all the strength that I can get to work overtime to pay for all this.

Cindi... so, the fabulous pics were taken by a woman. I think women have an easier time seeing the real Clay. I wonder if he feels threatened by men that they might judge him, so he puts up more of a wall with men. That's 5 cents for the couch time. LOL
