I miss aikim's countdown. Maybe we should make things up again to add to the calendar?

Of course, who'd thunk that if we had come up with "Clay meets porn star Jenna Jameson and charms the pants off her (almost literally)," it would come true?

Yay 00lsee! I know your new employers will appreciate the great person you are.

As for the Trump/Clay interview - I couldn't get past Oompah Loompah Trump.

Loved, loved, LOVED Clay and Arsenio wrestling (and Paul Sr. snickering at them in the background) - but 3 frickin' hours is gonna kill me this Sunday.

LOL! Well, I could countdown to the finale but that might be a tad depressing..we need tour dates so I can start counting down to those!

aikim, it's funny that you mention the finale being depressing. I had that same thought a few days ago. I was kinda wishing it would be May so we would already know how everything went down and be looking forward to the big show, and then I thought no... cause then we won't have Clay on TV much longer! I hope he doesn't go back into his cave when it's over. Clay quiet is worst and longest kind of quiet.

CELEBRITY APPRENTICE"

"PUPPET UP!"

04/15/2012 (09:00PM - 11:00PM) (Sunday) : THE CELEBRITIES GET CREATIVE WHEN THEY ARE TASKED WITH DESIGNING TWO ORIGINAL PUPPETS AND PERFORMING FOR AN ADULT AUDIENCE WITH HENSON ALTERNATIVE’S IMPROVISATIONAL TROUPE, "STUFFED AND UNSTRUNG"

This week, the teams must create their own puppets and perform in front of a live audience for Henson Alternative’s "Stuffed and Unstrung" improv show. One outspoken Celebrity struggles to be a team player. On the other team, another Celebrity fights for a role in the task, but is marginalized and has a breakdown. Both teams put their improvisational skills to the test, but only one is declared the winner and another Celebrity hears Donald Trump’s dreaded words, "You’re fired!" Boardroom advisors: Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump

:hello:sweetT. I just finished watching TCA tonight for the second time. Loved how the guys said that there were no hard feelings that he named them. I also liked how Clay was so uset that he might have hurt them. He is a long way from being mean. Will Sunday be different? :wordpooper:

Grrrrr. No rerun of CApp on Bravo tonight. What's up with that?

On the other hand...I was pleasantly surprised by my "season pass" setting for anything related to Clay Aiken the other night. TnT Live was rerun at oh-dark-thirty in the morning on our PBS station. It was during pledge time, and they showed the Chicago pledge drive, which Clay attended. What fun! I'm still kicking myself that I didn't drive to Chicago to be part of that pledge drive team.

Review of Steadfast on I-Tunes:

Steadfast

A somewhat belated attempt to revive Clay Aiken’s 2010 standards album Tried & True, 2012’s Steadfast takes seven of that record’s 11 songs, add three new recordings – covers of pre-Beatles pop hits Neal Sedaka’s “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do” and Connie Francis’ “Who’s Sorry Now,” plus the new original tune “Bring Back My Love” – and ditches the original album art for a straightforward portrait. Why go through this effort to relaunch an old album? The answer lies in Donald Trump, who cast Clay on the spring 2012 season of the Celebrity Apprentice, thereby necessitating fresh product from Aiken on the shelves. Fortunately, Tried & True was an album that deserved a second chance, as it was the record where Aiken seemed most at home; he sounded comfortable singing the melodies we all know by heart, surrounded by soft, handsomely tailored arrangements. In its Steadfast incarnation, these sessions sound no different, but the three new cuts are all good, and the overall package is more appealing than its first incarnation.

Artist Essentials - Clay Aiken

The Basics

“Singer" seems too slim a description to truly cover Clay Aiken’s larger-than-life role in American pop culture; Broadway performer, TV personality, tireless activist, all these titles and more are part of his resume, though there’s still no getting around that golden voice. American Idol fans may have been the first to find out what his titanic tones could do with the Simon & Garfunkel classic “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” but the rest of the world caught on quickly, making his version the best-selling single of 2003. The romantic sway of Aiken’s smash “The Way” from his debut album proved he could put original material across with just as much emotional punch. And when he lights up the old Johnny Mercer standard “Moon River” – with guitar courtesy of Vince Gill – his place in the lineage of great American pop vocalists becomes blindingly clear. Discover Clay Aiken’s multiple personalities, from power balladeer to jazzy crooner, in Next Steps.

Next Steps

One of the many traits Clay Aiken shares with the great interpreters who’ve gone before him – aside from the obvious, superhuman vocal chops – is the ability to tackle a song from almost any source and make it his own. Not only does he wear some Elvis-sized shoes on “Suspicious Minds,” but is also fits them to his own sure-footed steps. With the help of cabaret queen Linda Eder, Aiken gets every ounce of drama from Roy Orbison’s soaring pop-opera “Crying,” and when he summons up a late-night saloon-song vibe on the holiday heart-tugger “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve," you can smell the snow and the lovesick speculation in the air.

Complete Set

When a skinny 24-year-old from North Carolina belted out a shatteringly soulful version of “Always and Forever” on the 2003 American Idol audition episode, the nation didn’t yet realize it had just met the singing sensation of the decade. From then on, Clay Aiken blazed a big, bold trail that led directly to the hearts of AI viewers. Broadway theatergoers, and enough music lovers to make his debut album a double-platinum phenomenon. With a voice capable of climbing to the heavens on a passion-packed power ballad or crooning with uncommon subtlety, Aiken has delivered everything from jazz standards to 80’s pop hits, not to mention his chart-scaling original tunes. And now we’ve stacked up his most irresistible offerings in a wide-ranging menu of music delights you’ll undoubtedly be achin’ (sorry) to sample.

$17,500! @DebbieGibson is rocking it out with the fundraising!

Doesn't @AubreyODay play to support a anti-bullying charity? Why does she say meaner things about people than anyone else?

I think I've read that a few times this past week on the boards!

The view from the roof of @realDonaldTrump s apartment is RIDICULOUS! I wanna live on his roof!

For the record @ArsenioOFFICIAL is about 4 inches shorter than me and he kicked my ass in that fight. He is strong as hell!!

Eric Trump just tweeted his support of the Project, with a "good job on the task last week Clay!"

@AubreyODay Never plotted. Also never said anything in interview that I didn't say to your face.
