I'm living vicariously through everyone who can attend -- and through Clay, who must LOVE all this.  I have a feeling that Christmas is his favorite holiday by far, and to be working with his good friend Ruben with this has to make him so happy!

Here’s a review of a show that hasn’t even been rehearsed yet!  I guess they failed the auditions for American Idol!  Bitter ya think?

It actually made me angry to read that mess! Ruben did not soundly beat Clay. Clay and Ruben are so much more famous than those mentioned in last year's show (never heard of them) and they've both had big careers-especially Clay. Clay was extremely well received on Broadway. The idiot that wrote it is a Grinch for sure and has been living under a rock.  He's also not aware of the great chemistry they have.

That article?  Pshaw.  The writer's facts are just not right.  I knew all three of the people from last year's show, but he had them all as winners, while only one (Josh Kaufman, from The Voice -- a guy I like a lot and follow on social media) was a winner.  So...not to mention the problems with the Clay and Ruben stuff...there's just wrong information period.

Having said all that, I just can't get riled up over it.  It's not my place to get angry for Clay.  It's not to say I don't feel something when something like that is written, but I have to just let it roll off my back.

The Coke picture was also tweeted and Instagrammed out by Clay!

Something a little different: a WUNC radio interview with the author of a new book, “The Children of Harvey Milk: How LGBTQ Politicians Changed the World.” http://www.wunc.org/post/open-and-out-office#stream/0 - Author Andrew Reynolds "joins host Frank Stasio to talk about the North Carolinians who are a part of this history, from Pauli Murray to Clay Aiken." Haven't listened - I suspect Clay isn't discussed at length, but still nice to see him mentioned in this context.

I actually did get to listen to this a few days ago and forgot to post it.  The author interviewed Clay, and Clay told him that it wasn’t his gayness that didn’t get him taken seriously as a candidate, but that he was an entertainer.  That’s pretty much the gist of the bit.  I personally can’t wait to read this book, as I think it will be interesting.  I think I need it for a Christmas present, along with the 5 other books I want for Christmas!
