I wanted to comment on this......

I know we don't want to go back and put a timeline on all of Clay's past songs, appearances, etc., in relation to his process of coming out and telling family, friends. But something hit me. Remember when he sang "Proud of Your Boy"? Wasn't that in 2004? I wonder if he sang that before or after he told his mother he's gay.

Well... it might not be too hard to figure out, if we know an approximate date for when Brett went into the Marines.

And when the POYB was recorded. Do we have access to those facts???

Brett was deployed on March 24, 2005 and returned from deployment on September 25, 2005. I couldn't find the exact date for Aladdin Special DVD release, but it was definitely in 2004.

It will probably take a backseat for awhile, but I think one day it will get the respect it so deserves. When Clay wins his first Grammy, whatcha wanna bet that ATDW is no longer called a covers cd, but a cd of classics... betcha! (hope so!)

Every day I read the boards I realize more and more that I don't really have a place on them any more. Not caring for random critiques (and sometimes outright slams) of Clay and saying so (here, not in 'hysterical' posts and emails to people I don't give a rats ass about) has somehow become a bad thing. If not bad, then held in some weird form of disdain. I feel like I'm in an alternate universe most of the time. It's okay to 'defend' the bloggers and 'journalists' et al, but not Clay. Well okay then. I give up.

Cindilu2 I think your opinions are very important to this board. You are the fangirliest of "fangirls" and there is nothing wrong with it. It gives a perspective that I find very charming. Your graphics are truly a thing of beauty and reflect your love and soul. Don't be sad or hurt because we are not all upset by the ramblings of the critics. The job I Had at the time I lost my mind though..very funny..I knew and loved everyone there and vice versa and they kinda enjoyed me going through the change LOL. ETA {{{fromClagary}}} and to all suffering with sinus problems - Have you tried a Neti Pot? I have one and as disgusting as nasal flushing sounds and is, it really helped me with sinus infections.
