  1. I found out this week that Hersheys has substitited Vegetable Oil for the Cocoa Butter in some of their candy bars! They now say chocolatey instead of Chocolate!

You also have to watch out for ice cream that has morphed into "frozen dessert" :ninja:

Not sure if that's just a Canadian thing, but I had no idea until someone from the Dairy Board filled me in at the grocery store last week. Gross!! May as well serve cool whip instead!!

You really have to watch the labels!!

  2. The Gals who say EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (and eat lots of munchies, but I"ll leave that part out)!

TGWSEEEEEEE!!!! Nope, can't pronounce that one. :cryingwlaughter:

Ontario Clack Addicts? ...OCA?.....shrug.gif That might be more us....

I like that one best so far. Not that anyone is asking!! :BlowKiss: <----- since I just went through all the emotes and couldn't find the one I want, I put the last one on the list here!!!

How about South west(ern) Ontario Clack Addicts.....SWOCA?? That sounds interesting.

  3. One of the favorite sayings of my teen-aged son and his age group is the "He's/She's/That's so gay" remark, which they use to describe any person, place or thing that they consider sub-par or lame. Doesn't necessarily even have to do with someone's sexuality, when using it about a person. It's a way of feeling morally superior.

My tween daughter and her friends use that also. I've discussed with her why it isn't appropriate, but I think it is so pervasive that it is a battle I'm not going to win. I hope it is just one of the societal phrase phases, sort of like Valley-girl speak of the 80's. I look forward to the day when "that's so gay!!" becomes "so yesterday" (one phrase I CAN live with!!)

I tried to watch TMZ the other night, but found it so full of sneering I couldn't stomach it. Is THIS what is celebrated in society now? Good grief.

  4. Can someone please describe in great detail for those of us stuck in work hell?

He looks freakin' fantastic!! :hubbahubba: Hair is blonde and styled perfectly. Jeans fit well!!

Sounds really, really great!!! He's going to kill us all dead when we see these songs performed live!!

    I'm in love. :lilredani:

ETA: Sorry, I suck at giving details. I'm more the "general impression" type. :imgtongue:

You can smack me later. :cryingwlaughter:

    I see Heinz is lurking!!!

  5. First concert??? It would be going to see Gowan *crickets* :cryingwlaughter: He sings "Strange Animal" and I don't remember what else!! :cryingwlaughter:

My next concert was Loverboy!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! My friends and I were in love!!! :hubbahubba:

After I grew up (lol!), I've been to a few concerts. Loved Duran Duran!! Powerstation, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Eagles (worst.seats.ever), U2 (supposedly I saw them - too many trays of beer prior :imgtongue: , Pink Floyd (LOVE!!). Then I dated an alternative type dude, and discovered Lollapolooza :yow: , The Greatful Dead (watched a guy in front of me roll a joint - first time I'd ever seen that!!), The Counting Crows, and Sioxie (however ya spell it) and the Banshees.

After a long dry spell, I'm back into attending concerts!! :whistling-1:

Plenty of CLAY!! Saw Bon Jovi (worst.concert.ever), Gwen Stefani , Meatloaf , and Hillary Duff (took one for the kid!! - actually wasn't too bad!!)

Favourite Clay concert?? CLIO!!!! Best venue ever!!!

I also loved the Toronto JBT because he was standing within a foot of me when he went into the audience. It was so unexpected!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Syracuse NaT was great too!! First time I travelled with an almost complete stranger (auditioned her for 1/2 hour at Burger King 2 days prior to ensure she wasn't an axe murderer!! :cryingwlaughter: ). He sang Run To Me!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

As for tour thoughts. I'd LOVE for Clay to do theater style tour in smaller venues with GREAT acoustics - something around the size of the Schubert would be fine by me!! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

  6. I kind of liked the Yahoo video. It was an interesting trip down memory lane.

However, it reminded me of the Blair Witch movie. I had to pause a few times because I found myself feeling seasick!! :cryingwlaughter: I'm probably the only one, though, so that's good!!

I guess this shows how terrific the fan montages are! Kudos to all!!!!

KAndre - sorry your ticket was cancelled. It appears there are quite a few others in the same boat. I wonder what's going on with all of the so-called VIP's?

  7. Now to figure out how we are gonna get there, and where to stay.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! Glad you folks are going!!

Fly out of Buffalo on JetBlue for $139 return (you have to book together), and stay at the St. James because it is about the cheapest hotel around!!

Not that I'd know about any of the above!! :whistling-1:

The pictures on this page are :hubbahubba:

  8. Heheh. Unfortunately, she probably now thinks that *I* am the craziest Clay fan out there.

Thanks for taking one for the team Cindilu :F_05BL17blowkiss: I think I"m a close second though.

It's what happens when you have to keep things under wraps forever. When I can finally EEEEEEEEEEE!!! LOOK OUT!!! OTT fan alert!! :cryingwlaughter:

Luckiest it appears that Jetblue consistently offers the cheapest flights out of Buffalo. Give their website a try!!!

Thanks to galdarngirl for hosting the clunch!!!!

And a hello to everyone here!! This board is great!! :lilredani:

  9. I love me some Brett Favre...

Me too! I'm slowing getting into the football thing - my DH has filled me in on the GBP. They're the cheeseheads right  ?

I really like the guy who looks like "Predator" (bad sci-fi/horror movie fan here!) from the back. I don't remember his name or team, but he'll always be Predator to me!!

Can't believe Spamalot is almost here! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

I'm going closing night. Didn't think I would ever get there, but I've got a flight, hotel reservation and a ticket, so it's really going to happen!! :lilredani:
