  1. Really nice picture kareneh.

Confession. I am a wearer of socks with sandals. I hate getting dirt or dust on my feet and in addition my toes are always cold. I even wear socks to bed. I'll never be a fashion plate. I'll try to refrain from wearing socks with my shoes to the Gala. I hope it's warm in there. The good news is I hardly ever wear sandals. :clay:

I wear socks with sandals this time of year - in this transition between the glory sandal days of summer and the cozy-furry-boots of winter. Horror of horrors I even wore socks with sandals in town yesterday.

I've been totally out of the loop here. Is Clay posing for pictures all the time now or just on quiet nights? Looks like the crowd was small. Love that picture, btw - what a man!

  2. Doesn't matter, I'm still going to have dirty thoughts about him, still going to love his voice, wit, intelligence, caring, and all that other good stuff.

And the shock is starting to wear off now so my head doesn't feel like it's going to explode.

I can identify with the feeling of the shock wearing off. Having said that, just like with the baby story, I won't really be surprised either way.

Fantasy Clay is still that - my fantasy of what Clay would be like "if". The fact that I think Clay is hott really has more to do with me than with him, in many ways, since I can only know what he allows the public to see. From everything that Clay has shown in his public life, he's a man to admire (and drool over). There is something about seeing Clay in person, whether in Spam, concerts, CD signings or whatever, that just makes me happy, and it's not really sexual. I have a hard time explaining that to my DH (also a Clay fan). Clay has brought many good things into my life just by being who he is. Yes, I do think he's hott, but when I see him in person, I'm mostly just thinking, "He's Clay!"

Off to OFC to give my support.

  3. (But I'm SOOOOO glad he got rid of that mic-tossing habit he had on that show! Back and forth, back and forth! :cryingwlaughter: ) But his voice remained clear and strong throughout the night.

I'm so glad I came here to lurk this afternoon - I saw AI2 and ran to the TV. I'd forgotten about it - and I was just in time to see Mack the Knife. I loved that performance! Plus Clay looked HOTT.

The mic-tossing thing used to drive me nuts! I hoped that someone would work with him on it. So distracting.

Interesting discussion on the picture. My first reaction was "familiar", as in very familiar with each other. In what way, I wouldn't hazard a guess.

Cotton, I love, love, love your avatar!

  4. We had the kids over all weekend, so I am just catching up. My daughter tried a little retrieval onthe hard drive, but no luck. I guess I need some more professionals. She is an IT professional, but in web development, not techie stuff!!

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words on the hard drive. It was/is one of those Western Digital Passport, 160 G types. I should have recognized the warning signs earlier and taken action. :(

So, what are these retrieval programs y'all are talking about!?

Cha cha, I have a Mac and just googled "Mac lost data" or something similar until I came up with some software. It took about a week, came from India and was about $175. I was crossing my fingers that it was a real program, for one, and that it would work - and it did! I'm not sure about a hard drive, but it couldn't hurt to google the brand, or even hard drives in general, and see what comes up.

I've had 3 hard drives and had trouble with two - one a Maxtor and the other a Seagate - both made by the same company. I haven't tried very hard to get the info back because I backed up all on CDs as well.

With all the problems I've had I've started to back up my back ups. Such a pain.

    Good luck! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  5. I used to save a lot of Clack and then never watch it! Now I prefer You Tube to downloading, by far. It is fun to catch some old stuff now and then. I watch AYSTAFG this weekend while I was doing chores - fun.

As for Clay's career I look at it sort of like mine - I've had goals but life has brought me to far different places. Good for the most part. I do hope he hangs around for awhile because, like the thread says, he simply makes me smile.

  6. I adored the blond instantly and I’m sure that I will miss it from time to time. <g> And I totally agree that eyeliner Clay was smokin’ hott. I never wanted to lick him more.

    Yeah that! :hubbahubba:

Couchie, so you're the other person who voted for the Lickables and Clickables. I seldom have time to read everything, but I almost always make time to look at the pictures. :whistling-1:

cha cha I agree with the others who said not to give up on your hard drive yet. I deleted my entire photo album earlier and with lots of work and an expensive program, I got the pictures back.

  7. Love reading about the siting and the questions! Thanks, nc!

Couchy, another Sacramento fan - what a great show!! And the ATDW/Kimmel concert was just fantastic - he was just on fire and that fire just didn't translate to tv, IMO. I remember thinking when watching it that you just can't capture that kind of energy. The Virgin records signing was fun, too, although the wait in the hot sun wasn't the best. Speaking of hot, gosh, he looked hott that day! My avi is from his walk from Virgin Records to Kimmel. The Cali 4fer was a blast. I wish I had met you there. I'm not sure that I had discovered this place then. Wasn't the San Diego bus line amazing? LA, too, for that matter - Clay stopped for just a second to say hello to a little boy close to me. Each venue was so different. Pala was my favorite, mostly because of the Flat Clay Serenade. What a sense of humor! Two couples were in front of us - NJU folks - and the men just had a great time with the Serenade. Both couples were pleasantly surprised at how well they liked the show - none knew much about Clay, they just liked to go to concerts in that venue. Ah, good times!

Had to bring this forward. Arm furrrrrrrrrrrr! :hubbahubba:

I can't imagine anyone not going just because they've gone before. My friend and I can hardly wait!

Me either, unless finances are an issue. Well, they're an issue for me but I'm going anyway! I loved Spam, for one thing, although I don't think I'd go if Clay wasn't in it. I just like to watch Clay. He makes me smile. Pure and simple. He makes me smile.

The best bonus is meeting up with friends! For that reason alone I can't imagine not going.

Cagney, I sure don't know why Clay doesn't pull the sales like the others. First thing Mr. Salt said when he listened to OMWH (the CD) was, "Why isn't Clay on the radio?" Maybe the symphony backing instead of a band doesn't sell as many tickets?

Thanks for posting the Jesus is Love link, muskifest. What a treat.
