  1. For MCWL and at least one of the other subsequent albums, he went to Osceola to do final fixes on stuff that was recorded elsewhere, so I think maybe that might be what he's doing there now. Post-production editing is one of their specialties advertised on their site. If the album is coming out early next year, it must be nearly finished by now. I do think LWLHD sounded better than a lot of his major label stuff, so I'm happy he's working with them, doing whatever he's doing.

Hi guys, was just reading/lurking (lol) and thought I would add that Clay used Osceola studios for ATDW as well.

from the blog of the N&O music critic, David Menconi, back on July 19, 2006:

As it happens, Clay has been working on his new album, the followup to 2003's "Measure of a Man." Dick Hodgin, partner/producer at Raleigh's Osceola Music, reports that Aiken was recently recording some vocal tracks at Osceola -- "And we got a keeper vocal on Sunday," Hodgin says. Still, I'd be surprised if an album emerged before 2007.

I really think Osceola is the place Clay goes to when he wants to be at home and still keep working.

...and while I'm here....Merry Christmas one and all!

  2. Oh laughn does your friend still need a ticket?

Thanks merrieeee, but It looks like my friend found one as well.

Just a suggestion, if someone has an extra ticket they can contact Aron Hall. That's how I found mine.

When I didn't have much success at the boards I called The Project and he said he knew of someone who had a ticket to sell and he sent them my contact info. They got in touch with me.

...and now I get to meet ldyj and canfly and others... :ura: :trink4:

  3. The site definitely needs a warning posted. There's some kind of spyware that can pop up telling you your computer is infected. DO NOT CLICK on CANCEL. Click the RED X in the right hand corner of the small window.

From what I've read, it's a hacker trying to download spyware onto your computer. It's happened to me a couple of times, and I hit the red x to close the little window. I have also scanned my computer afterwards and found nothing.

Hope everything works out for strummer6. :thbighug-1:

    Caro :listen:

Thanks Carolina Clay. :) I hope you don't mind, but I copied your RED X warning over to CV as well. I know at lot of posters are voting there too. A lot of people are voting in this poll, and I don't want to discourage that. I just wanted to pass along strummer's warning.

  4. Hi guys. *waves* I'm posting for strummer6 right now.

She said she was on here reading this morning and decided to vote on that Twitterwall poll. She used the link posted here. She was hit with a 'browser hijack.' Her computer is completely crashed right now and she can't use it, so she called and asked me to let people know what happened. Whatever it is blocked her McAfee, so she can't do a scan. It download porn to her computer and won't allow her to use any of her browsers.

That's all I know. If you know anyone else who may be using that link, you might want to say something to them as well.

  5. This is another one of those surprising turn outs. I was expecting this one to be heavily lopsided for #1. LOL Shows you how different we all are and how we see Clay differently at different times. Love the contest.

    Still laughing at treenuts.

Oh, pic #1. was taken as Clay was having touch-up/make-up applied during the filming of the Invisible video. In the full shot John D is directly in front of Clay I believe and someone is holding an umbrella because it's so damn hot. I think they even sprayed him with water to cool him down if I remember correctly.

(at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL)

  6. laughn.... glad laughn is superglued to the board ... woman, you're the reason I'm on this board, so hang around, will ya' :BlowKiss: I got hooked on reading your Jennifer in the Morning series under FUN, FUN, FUN/Creative Writing... hysterical!

Thanks for the 'Morning' shout out liney. Much appreciated. I never knew who was reading those things. I've toyed with the idea of reprising them, because I really had fun with the writing. Though the list of possible morning 'wakers' has expanded since I stopped. Parker and Reed for sure, but I think even Rosie has danced through my imagination now and then. Well, I amuse myself in my own head anyhow...lol

ldyj (now I have to do laundry to wash off the glue :P ), and concert buddy and 30 Rock wisher for the last 12 months, bottlecap, to you both
