Best wishes to all traveling to Wichita for the first show of the tour!
Gibby, Bookwhore is lying. She's a lovely tall blonde with the best smile. Enjoy your first meeting!
I wish I were going to Wichita, . The first show is always so exciting, and that setting is unique for sure! Dec. 2 is just around the corner, though, and I'll be in DC for the show, so I shouldn't complain.

I want Clay to sing "Broken Wings" on this show! And Maks to do some sort of shirtless dance to it.
I'm shallow.
Not shallow! That's a great idea. What a combination !
Clay's version of Broken Wings suits dance really well. Now, if the producers could only hear it....

Count me in, JaMar. I don't have any creative (or should I say Kreativv) ideas about how to go about this. Whatever. I'm flexible.

I have to admit that AI2 was all about Clay for me. I liked several of the others and pulled for them to do well, but none of them compared to Clay in my mind, and as happy as I was for each contestant who had a good performance, I couldn't generate the level of caring for any of them that I experieced when Clay sang. My attraction to his voice and personality happened simultaneously, rght away.
Clay's hair - a total source of amusement. Sometimes great, sometimes pretty bad, but always interesting.
AI outfits - I don't even remember them, as many times as I've seen his performances. All I remember is that red leather jacket from Grease - hee.

I'm enjoying the AI2 talk. There is something very special about this look back in time - quite interesting for taking perspective. How cute was Clay? So earnest. And that voice! I liked Ruben's warm tone, and still have a fondness for him, but found him a bit dull. Kim Locke's voice was very appealing and her performances just got better and better over time. Too bad I really don't like any of the music she put out after AI. I never quite got Rickey. Hercules aside, his voice was grating to me. He had some good moments, but overall, I didn't look forward to hearing him. I really liked Julia early on, and was thrilled by her last note on that Burt Bacharach piece. She just couldn't do the stage thing. I would have liked to hear more from Vanessa. I agree that Frenchie's appeal might have worn off quickly. Many of the contestants got a career out of the show which is nice to see. You don't have to reach popstar status to make a living and love it. I will always be grateful to AI for bringing Clay to us, no matter what. I often think about how this might never have happened. There were so many points at which he could have disappeared. Shudder.

That's one of my all time favorites!
What a night that was! Thanks, keepingfaith!

I agree about the Luther comparison. It came pretty much right away and is easy to hear to me. I had that reaction to him immediately. I really like Ruben's tone. He can't match Luther on some other parameters, though. I enjoyed seeing him on AIR last night.

Aw...... that gif
It has been so much fun to watch Clay over the years.

That UM outfit is without a doubt the fugliest thing I've ever seen him wear. It's even worse than the fugly jackets of the IT.
I liked it, actually. Better than the loose button down shirts with shirt tails out and jeans look, IMO, which isn't fugly, just a bit boring. But then I liked the fugly jackets.... The puka beads have to go, though. Maybe Clay and Jordan were trying to coordinate for their "concert."
Those clips are golden, aren't they? What a treat to hear Clay sing Superstar and to hear that Miss America speech with a hope that came to fruition. What a guy.
For Clay :F_05BL17blowkiss:

My daughter was sitting in Section 104, 4th row. She told me that when Clay hit the glory note, Todd began a spin and that Clay and Todd finished at the exact same time. She said it was awesome!
I will look forward to seeing that in the broadcast. Todd is truly an amazing spinner.

And more....
Ooooo....it looks like he wants a hug. Be right there Clay. Stay where you are.
:thRoadRunner:
These Open Arms
Will wait for you.

Kendra
How cute is she? I loved her report. I hope she keeps them coming. Yeah, so much for the sterotyped Claymate.....

I'm reveling in Clack, too. And I seem to be stuck on TCS. There are so many wonderful syllables to claim, I keep going back to listen for them. That 'some' around 1:11 on Spotlover's video is a keeper for sure. One more listen..... there are some great 'fly's', as well. I just love certain Clay syllables. What a treat!

Clack
Cuter than cute!
-
Oh yeah, I remember -- this cutie patootie:
I like that one! I hadn't seen it before!
I won't cry, because I am going to 3 Christmas shows, with potential for another, already have my first set of Spamalot tickets, and I don't want to get my butt kicked by keepingfaith . I just don't understand why I'm not there, though. I've been to countless skating shows, countless Clay shows, and have been to Las Vegas countless times. All 3 of rolled up in to 1 and I'm not there. Doesn't make sense....... I will stay awake for the cellcert, though. I almost can't wait!
For all of you who are there, HAVE FUN! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

JJ- I smiled when I read your post. Where can we do this research on tights and how they hold it all together? LOL!!!
Well, here's some info on men's tights that have a working codpiece. Looks like a good idea.

If you scroll midway down this page, you can watch a video on how they are.... constructed.

for Danny Mac!
Great name for his role.
-
Well, that was fun! So adorable. And such a sparkling personality.
My Involuntary Clay Grin got a workout tonight.
Top of the page - I like it here!

Claygasm, I loved your montage of Clay's Solitaire performances. I save very little video Clack, but this one is a keeper. Thank you!
-
I like David as friend and mentor but don't want him to produce the album. He can submit a song or two heee.
I agree with you totally!
I'm loving the Clack this morning!
Hey, Happy Birthday, Cindilu! :fest09:
-
So what do you do with all that Clay energy when the song is over and you have to listen to the rest of the show .... not easy.
Let there be Clack.
-
Holy Crap - those screams!

Should've Never Let You Go (With Dara Sedaka)
Did it as a duet with his daughter...
I actually remember that.
-
duckyvee, the properties on that photo say 'tummy', but I say, let your imagination run wild with that one. lol
Now I see it. I think the angle threw me off. I was thinking it was a piece of hand made paper.
That Rolling Stones picture always makes me giggle a bit. I really don't see the sexy, but it's sure cute.
