  1. Any Canadians heading to Vegas, now would be a good time to buy your US$. My daughter just called from the bank to say that the conversion rate has finally gone under the dollar - 99.85 cents.....our money is worth more than theirs today! :medium-smiley-070:

Crap Wheeeee, top of the page. I'm on a freaking roll, I was last post on the old thread, too....

Morning FCA and HAPPY BIRTHDAY ldyjocelyn :F_05BL17blowkiss:

I've been watching the Canadian Dollar, I was just checking it out this morning. I've still got American cash in my purse from going to my 3fer in CA.

Drats, work is calling, I hatesss that it cuts in to my Clay time. :scream:

  2. I love this show. I love Keifer Sutherland. I'm not a action packed show kind of a gal but somehow 24 has captured my interest. I admit I have only watched the last two seasons and I will be watching again in January.

I did come across something interesting about the show that was on my home page in July. I tried to make this a spoiler post but somehow that didn't work for me.

Kiefer Sutherland series '24' gets female president in new season: Fox

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) - The United States will have a female president next year - on the Fox TV series "24."

Tony Award-winning actress Cherry Jones will play President Allison Taylor when the show about the exploits of counterterrorism agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) returns in January for season seven, the network announced Sunday.

Jones' term will coincide with Democratic Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential bid, but Fox Entertainment chairman Peter Liguori said there will be no intersection between fiction and real-world politics.

"It's a dramatic decision. . . . The president is a very important piece of '24,' " Liguori told The Associated Press. "We've had a broad array of presidents on the show; why not a female president?"

The series has been an Oval Office ground-breaker before, with Dennis Haysbert playing President Palmer, the first black president.

Jones, winner of best-actress Tony Awards for "The Heiress" and "Doubt," has appeared in films including "Ocean's Twelve" and "The Perfect Storm" and has guest-starred on TV shows including the White House drama "The West Wing."

  3. I'm still reasonably new with posting here and with these quotes things. They do manage to mix me up, a lot. I do believe there is a strong possibility that I could screw this whole post up, but here goes, *crosses fingers and takes deep breath*

Has anyone seen an old movie with Susan Hayward entitled "I Want to Live!"

I absolutely loved, loved that movie. I've only seen it twice in my lifetime, once as as a teenager and again as a young adult and I would love to see it again. One my all time favorites! Susan Hayward, stunningly beautiful. This is what I consider a true classic.

One other movie that touched me as a child, was Five Pennies with Danny Kaye, (Clay & Danny are my red headed hero's) I had only watched this movie as a child, it was a very powerful movie that touched my soul deeply.

The kind of shows I cry at are the Oprah reunited shows, those turn me in to absolute mush.

Couchie I really love what you and Ansamcw and all your other staff have created here. I love how you run it too. It's a site you can be proud of and I bet Clay appreciates this place and what you all do.

 I've lurked here for a few weeks now, and I enjoyed the discussions, pictures, and the laughs and the tender loving snark. This place for me.... just is. (tm Paula Abdul)

Hee, just in case this doesn't work.... laugh along with me and not too hard at me.

(it doesn't help that I'm doing this from work and keep checking over my shouldar, yea, that is the excuse I will use)

  4. Waves to lightmyfire . Aloha........ :F_05BL17blowkiss:

Where the heck is couchie? We need info.

Do ya think Jeff had a accident and she is his replacement :whistling-1: just sayin'

All kidding aside, thanks for this spoiler thread, the boss just left so I thought I'd take a quick look and thanks for the ROFLMAO Toots and Play :cryingwlaughter:

My stomach is doing flip flops and is full of butterflies

  5. BTW...we often plan chat parties...and listening parties...and we are thinking of even having a viewing party.

Chat parties is when we have specific topics and for 15 or 20 minutes we post on that specific topic ...Its pretty fun and exciting and we do serious and silly topics.

Listening party...we listen to certain clay music and talk about it for a set period of time

finally viewing party...much like the listening party we all watch certain clack at the same time and comment on it. We might choose a concert and watch it together...

    so many possibilities...

so if y'all have suggestions for topics and what you want to listen to or view together ...we can schedule something when we find a lull...

but this week...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE for the AYSTAFG...

Ohhh, I like the sound of that.

Canuck, XXX, glad to see you here :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  6. I feel as though I've died and gone to heaven.

You have NO idea how long I've been looking for a place that doesn't trash Clay but just accepts him as he is.

    Honestly, I feel like dancing.

    I might!

That is pretty much why I've been a lurker for so long at other boards and not opening my mouth to say anything. It almost got depressing for me, so I closed up tighter than a drum.

I already feel at home here, I've been reading for a bit and pretty much shake my head in agreement to what has been posted. I want my experience on message boards to be fun and the celebrate all things Clay. :allgood:

  7. What to say, what to say.

I didn't watch AI but had heard about it. Truth be told, I wasn't that interested really. One night while channel surfing I stopped on AI at pretty much the time they were cutting to a commercial, so I decided to wait and have a look see for myself. Lo and behold Clay came on my t.v. screen and when I heard his wonderful voice I was interested. I vowed to watch each show there after to see hear him, it wasn't until the next week that I really noticed how cute he was. The rest they say is history I was hooked.

Believe it or not, it was about 4 months or so after the season was over that I started looking around trying to find as much information about Clay as I could, only then to discover the message boards. **yes I am that slow** I just didn't want him to leave my life so soon.

I started out at RHT, then migrated to CV both as Claysworlds but of late I have been craving something new. So, this time around I had wanted to change my name as I felt I was outgrowing my name, no real logic behind it, except I wanted to try something different. Last night while watching t.v. I heard someone say north of the 49th and I grabbed that because I have no imagination. :cryingwlaughter: Yes, I am Canadian and live just 10 minutes from the US border, to me it fit.

I recognize a lot of the CV names and most of the others are pretty new to me. I have heard how fun this board is, waves to JaMar, Bookwhore, VJM, AAIT :F_05BL17blowkiss:

Here goes... my very first post. **crosses fingers that it doesn't sound too corny**
