  1. Wow, I was just coincidentally watching all the sharknado movies before hearing the news, heck i'm watching a sharknado movie now.  I was wondering about the cameos in the 5th movie and it turns out clay was gonna be one of them. I sorta can't wait to see it now!

I sorta like this board now and it would be my home board right now. I was searching for a home board for yes, prob since 2005 and i now found it.

  2. I am so sorry about this. :( Update on the tour special upload, I prob won't be able to do it (upload the file) now. Since my internet upload speed is a huge pain as it turns out and the internet keeps going on and off. I miss my old home when the internet was pretty speedy. The file is annoyingly huge and it's making me so frustrated as heck.

I'll try to do it when i have time, I'm so busy writing and illustrating a lot of stuff lately. I'll share the illustrations when i make them which would be a while since i'm a slow writer.

As for kathy griffith, not a fan of her, will never be a fan of her at all. She just fricken annoys me a lot. I agree with some of ya'll comments that it was crappy.

    Never too much posting!

I have never seen the tour special. Is it on youtube or in the vault?

    Periscope was awesome, as always.

    Have a great vacation!

I think it is a vault only thing as of now, There used to be public download sites (there's where i got the special from) in 2006/2007 but they all closed down, and if i can recall correctly only the Raleigh homecoming is on you tube. I'd upload the full thing on yt, but the account that I use for clay aiken stuff (mostly montages) is inaccessible due to me not migrating the account to google nearly 7 years ago, basically locking me out.

I actually rewatched part of the tour special about a year or so ago, but it was pretty much all of the Clay parts.  They ended up being so iconic in the fandom -- "lift me up, on the stage" and beating up a Coke machine!  Honestly, I'd forgotten much of the rest of it, which probably isn't a bad thing.

For our newer members (or those coming back after a long time), don't forget about our "Members Only" section (here's the link).  There's some new stuff posted from the weekend.  And again a reminder:  most of this board is NOT private, but that section is!

I'm on vacation!  And tomorrow, my husband and I leave for Nashville, TN!  Neither of us have been there before, and we're such music nuts, we're both really excited.  We'll be gone until next Sunday.  Y'all be good, OK?!?!?!?

That's actually the parts that I sorta have a positive opinion on mostly due to how iconic and well know they are. Infact many of the clay segments were my favorite parts of the show.

    :) Have a nice vacation!

Sorry for posting to much! I'm just need some people to talk too. :(

Hey, long time no see!! I'd just about forgotten that tour special. I remember it being soooo exciting at the time, just because. I do agree with you about the fighting scene--I remember it well and totally hated it. Your comments are very smart--too bad you aren't working for them. I feel like the show tried so hard to manufacture drama - and so much of that was just totally distasteful. Like the people they gave tons of attention to based on nothing but their bad behavior during the auditions. There have been a few very memorable bad auditions, but many, many forgettable ones. I always thought one of the reasons for those choices for what to focus on was that Simon Cowell was such a cynic about people. It would never occur to him what kinds of things people might have enjoyed watching much more than the crappy stuff. For me, that first season, my first, Clay's, the show was like Glee before there was a Glee.

This so much! And yeah i sorta wish i was a editor of the special i could have done a better job with editing clips (since there were a lot a missplaced footage and scattared footage) and you are right about idol manufacturing drama a lot.

Cute pics from Bold.  Clay sure enjoys seeing B-way shows - wish they'd invite him to be IN them!!!!

I agree about AI manufacturing drama.  At the time, no one knew how manufactured it all was, so it seemed new and interesting.  The bad auditions and Simon's cutting comments were so different that they drew people in to see the real talent.  And those talented people weren't on their second or third chances in the music business - they were real unknowns.  That didn't last long on AI - it became about professionals with lots of orchestration and sets and lighting plus increasingly famous judges who were on there to plug their own tours and projects.  The contestants weren't important anymore, and no one cared who won - very much like The Voice now.

That's pretty much the truth about idol especially in later seasons where people who had a recording career or contracts were auditioning left and right and even making it to the top 10. I think that when i knew the magic was gone.

  6. Watching the American idol 2 tour special on my old decade old computer. Now i understood why the fan segments were hated. There's just so much that could have been done. They could have showed clay's BAF founding in Raleigh, the behind the scenes of clay's TITN music video, more of rube's visit to b'ham and a few other idol related stuff. The fan segments (I sorta liked them at first as a teen cause i thought they were cute) sorta actually dragged it down a bit. In fact there is a lot of Clay stuff that could have been shown instead of the fan segments.

And also rewatching it also made me miss rickey a lot.

ETA: that scene with the teen claymate and ruben  fan fighting should have been left on the cutting room floor, unnecessary as heck to include that scene. Very unnecessary, it contributed nothing but to cause mess.

I just wanted to show this cute vintage article from 2005. I wish I had thier shirts. :( It's about 3 fangirls.

Google books is my fave place. I found so many old and rare photos of Other performers (the old school ones because not that many photos of clay are rare due to the internet age) and articles that i thought were lost in time.

  8. There is a thread in "The Man" Forum at the OFC regarding rules for Special and Clay has just answered...absolutely no clack and anyone even holding a cellphone will be escorted out! Everyone go read!

    Kim

Thanks, I wish I could go to the concert but my parents said no to me. Better luck next time.

And everyone who can go enjoy. And about the no Clack, there would already be some considering that It would air at some point. So i can wait for the show.

  9. I don't know why I am angry now! I have no explaination but for some reason I am mad because I got rejected for another job! Maybe I need to go to sleep or something. :tantrum::angry2:

I hate the fact that my life is going nowhere. I wish something will come someday for me, I wanna get out of here and travel the world!

  10. ^^I can't wait till 2010 too. I hope that year will be better Clay wise. And I hope I can go to my first concert or the people who set up the tours will help him go to the areas of the country where he has never set foot in. Or for the international fans, that they finally get to see him at some point preforming in their country.

  11. I wanna say something I like reading older Clay articles for nostalgia but, don't hurl tomatoes at me I just can't stand older article or posts from the same people who now hate Clay cause he did one thing wrong in thier minds or posted homophobic comments about him at his own board. I am so happy to be with awesome fans like ya'll (the ones who are still here and like Clay, non-internet or not) and not bandwagon fans who were obviously only there because he was the Idol of the month and then say "eww I used to like him, I was so young and stupid." or anti-fans who will hate him every time that Clay does something that he's not to do in their minds AKA step out their pedestals.

Wow, I am the queen of random convo.

  12. Of course, if you were really channeling me, the gorgeous new banner would feature a little holiday tongue along with the lovely lipbite. :hahaha:

    snowflake_sway.gifth_NBCITH2.jpg snowflake_sway.gif

LOL! It's bad enough he's eyef*cking whilst singing about baby jeezus - flaunting the tongue is sure to get us all a big lump of coal in our errr.....stockings.

    :hahaha:

Thanks for the banner love, all. And soulsista, the font is called Frosty.

Thank you! Gonna download it now! It's just so cute.

  13. I love pissy Clay.

If the PTB were to go after all the people who DON'T bother to change their registration when they move, they'd be busy night and day. I've been guilty of that myself.

As for the comments on the news--I WISH that fans would just stop posting as it just fuels the notion that we are all nuts and encourages JP and other looneys.

    Sigh.

LOVE Rubin's comments about PH. Made my day.

I agree with you on JP, if some of the fans had left him alone with his delusions, his butt would have faded away so damn fast 3 years ago. Unfortunately some feel the need to "Defend" Clay, therefore keeping this a-hole going for this damn long. I wish that they will stop poking the lion with the stick.

  14. It's been 2 years now since I was excitedly preparing to travel to Minneapolis to attend 2 Clay Christmas concerts.

I am sad that this year I won't be having the pleasure of hearing cell certs, reading eeeing posts, downloading and watching videos and collecting all those beautiful pictures of Clay.

On the other hand, it will mean less time on the computer and more devoted to getting ready for Christmas.

    I'd rather have the excitement.

BWAH! OMG I have to admit to being surprised but not shocked by the Tiger Woods stuff. What a DOG! I'm not sure yet what is true and what is tabloid and what just sounds about right but there is not only smoke but a raging fire. I'm not one to be judgemental and I'm sure as a golfer I'll still root for him to smash all existing records but DAMN his wife must be thinking karma is getting him right where he lives. I have no sympathy whatsoever.

It's been 2 years now siClay Christmas concert had there been a tour this year, I still am sad that I won't be having the pleasure of hearing cell certs, reading eeeing posts, downloading and watching videos and collecting all those beautiful pictures of Clay.

Me too, If those 20 mistresses are true, he should have kept his thing in his pants. Being famous he can't keep secrets forever. I'll wait for the real truth to come out since I don't know what's true and what's fake.

If Tiger Woods had a reputation as a womanizer such as Jack Nicholson for example, then this would have been a non story. But this is a story about hypocrisy: pretending to be one thing -- profiting from it -- and behaving otherwise.

Catching a Tiger by his Hypocritical Tail

Tiger Woods, golf's alpha dog, is currently in the dog house this week -- and likely will be for much longer. The first sports figure to cross the $1 billion mark in total earnings, Woods made most of his fortune as a result of his "squeaky-clean model athlete" reputation. Last year, of the $117 million Woods made, $7.7 million was on the golf course; the rest came from endorsement deals. And that endorsement empire is built on the image of a hardworking, clean-living family man complete with wife, kids, dogs, and "values."

You are right about that, If tiger was a know womanizer or if he wasn't married this story would have blew over. I can't believe this all started on a report of a car accident. :o
