  1. I just saw Sasha practicing...did it sound like a new version of Winter Wonderland to anyone else?

I thought that too...a little less instrumentation, more voice? A VERY good thing, in Clay's case!

That was lovely. Would have been lovelier if CUTE Clay had been there...but lovely nonetheless!

Cripes, what a week for clack! I'm so far behind...I was able to watch AYSTAFG in real time (reel time?) but I still haven't watched all the clack from the summer! So I went down last night and watched several hours of Scruffy's banter series that I had so carefully DL'd and burned weeks and weeks ago. I had a really crappy day at work on Thursday, which kind of leaked over into Friday just because I'm an idiot....instant cure!

Why is it that....I'm watching a DVD I've burned, of Clay's concerts....ummm, I kind of know he'll be on there! And yet, every . single . time....I tear up when I first see him. And several times thereafter. And spend 2 hours I don't really have, laughing my butt off! And leave the room with the biggest grin in the world. And have a GOOD night's sleep.

    Clay Aiken is CUUUUUUUUUTE!!!

  2. shouldn't be putting this here because maybe I heard wrong; but just in case someone else is on the board and gets this channel, they might be able to see it too.

I was watching the Regis part of AYSTAFG at the end and the news blurb said something like

From Fifth Grader to Yale, what was Clay Aiken speaking about at Yale? I can't remember exactly; but it was something like that.

I hope I didn't hear wrong and nothing happens; but I'm watching it just in case.

Sorry if it's a false alarm

Bringing this over from CV courtesy of both claytonlady and SLC. Could be the location where Clay spoke today on Afghanistan......??

    ETA: update....

ETA: Clay was talking to teachers about geography. He wore Fifth Grader jacket, blue shirt and glasses. He did his own hair. *g* There were only about 30 people in the audience. The keynote was the Ambassador of Indonesia. They mentioned that Clay was a teacher and his UNICEF ambassadorship. It was a nice piece.
  3. WHY is it going by so fast????

    Its almost done!!!!

    NOOOOOO

    Hee... he is so cute.

I thought he didn't use any cheats??? but I think its good that he involved that kid. I love that he works through the answers.

So they didn't put in that part when the little girl sang...

hee...he is pretty nervous. The jaw is working.

    OH yeah!!

Hee Nathan looks like a little Clay!!!

    I thought the same thing!

...and some camera person loves the back view of Clay with those broad shoulders and slim waist almost as much as I do....did we see Regis' back end? NO!

That was fun!! Let's do it again

    Just a reminder....

    Pledge totals

  4. I'm sorry, I have to interrupt this discussion to

    Eeeeeeeeeehhhhhhh!!!!

I just heard the (audio version) of the promo to AYSTAFG!!!! ON THE RADIO!! IN TORONTO, CANADA!!! ON MIXFM 99.9

    :wub::dancingpickle: :04: :00000442:

I like to drove off the dam road! My boyfriend! Speaking to me, saying "Don't let me down now, I lost once already!"...........on MY radio! In Toronto, did I mention that? TORONTO.....CANADA!! :believeitornot:

looks up and squints hard....nope....no pork flying either!!

    :backtotopic:

  5. On my way out to work this morning...no time to take care of this..

but is this problem only with luckiest or with other people??? Need to know if its because of some setting difference...can a mod check if they have the same problem???

Can someone also try to do an attachment so I can see if happens to others.

    thanks

It happens to me too...I get an FCA logon screen when I try to access it.

Thanks so much for the link to Fox50's Clay pics and videos! That was SUCH fun to look through!

...and thanks for all the comments on my little penguin's pics...unfortunately, those sweetcheeks remain unkissed by me as he lives on the other side of the country. December, though....watch out!

  6. By the way....I was upstairs sitting on the toilet when the earthquake hit... I could only calmly watch my clothes swaying from their hangars in the closet nearby and wait it out....I couldn't really get up at the time to move to a safer place under a doorframe, you see.

You add some blinking Chirstmas lights and a Hawaiian-shirted Santa to that scenario, and I think you've got yourself a prize-winning Holiday story there...

    :cryingwlaughter: :lmaosmiley-1: :lmaosmiley-1:

OMG, I like to died, Ethel! :cryingwlaughter:

Just turned the porch light off at about 8:30. We had about 100-125'a the little suckers and 10 or 20 older ones. They're WAY more polite here than they are in Calgary! Sure nice to see. There were some really cutie-patootie costumes, I wish I'd thought to fire up the camera....and one about 13-yr old whose Mom had done his Dracula makeup. She has a future with Dreamworks, I tell ya! It was amazing!!

Zena, PLEEEEEEEEZ keep that crap there! We dont want it!! It was pretty decent tonight for the TnT'ers, about 10 above (ie, 40 F) but really windy.

ldyj and family my condolences...I'm so happy for you that you got to see her last week!

Anyone for a miniature Oh Henry???

Forgot to add...you folks with the Honeycrisps still available are making me jealous! :cry4: They're all gone here...in fact the last 3 or 4 I had were not good. They were obviously storage from last year. Ewwwwwwww!!!! Bitter and "alum-y".

  7. Thanks to the poster who reminded us about Jemock's blog! I haven't been over there for a bit, and just spent half an hour laughing my butt off! How To Put on Tights is SO funny because it's SOOO true!

And I f'love the little addendum to this week's blog on Christmas stories... :lmaosmiley-1: ...especially #3.

In reading the Mr's blog again....once or twice... :whistling-1: one of the other things that makes it hawt! for me is that I think the "system" set up to do the sorting has been set up by him. We've always known he's a computer geek...and part of his frustration, I think, is we're messing with his finely-tuned system! :lmaosmiley-1:

I've seen posters that think it's Clique doing it and sending it along, and probably they have some part in it...but I think the sortation process is his baby. Intelligence looks good on a man! You see it so seldom!

  8. The station that ran AIR last night is always a week behind (if you're talking about the 9:00 pm show). The one that usually shows 'new' episodes at 8:00 on Sunday was pre-empted for baseball. Now that it's over we should be on track again. I've seen promos for 5th Grader - no worries - we'll get it!

I was, thanks! I don't get the 8:00 one. Can't get either channel it's on then...

    Phew!!....re Fifth Grader!

Well, how cute is that blog! I love pissy Clay too...he IS ripping his hair out ! How exciting that he's going to do a UNICEF speech...I wonder where?? I'm so proud of him!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  9. Morning!

    Congratulations Zena, great post!

AIR ran a repeat in my market last night.... :cry4: I wonder if the Canadians are actually going to get Clay on AYSTFG this week? There has been no advertising about this show here that I've seen and last week they showed someone else as "appearing next week".

Biting my nails!! I don't want to let friends that contributed know that he's on....and then it not happen!

  10. Heckuva busy weekend, and I've just had my first chance to watch the Sedaka videos! WOW....just WOW. He did just an AWEsome job...but I always knew he would. Loved his DONE!! body language , loved the little smile when the inevitable "Love you"-er rang out, loved the little smile of appreciation at the start. There's a certain way he smiles now, that is a very intimate shout-out to those of us in attendance, I think. He doesn't have to shout "Love you too"...he smiles it.

jmh123, your comment about the chatting through Solitaire reminded me of an incident at the NAT in Greenville SC that I will never, ever forget....I was sitting off to the side in about the third row amongst a group of people who had come all together. They spent most of the concert yapping to one another about plans for getting out to the buses (while I thought STFU) after the show. As he was doing Invisible, which was the last official song of the night as you may recall, and preceded Solitaire as an encore, he bopped over to the opposite side of the stage from us. This group thought that was an appropriate moment to stand up en masse (there were 12-15 of them) and leave....to be first in line to the buses....but of course Clay didn't know that. Unfortunately, the moment they stood up and walked out was also the moment he turned around and bopped over to OUR side of the stage. To be greeted by 15 backs leaving the building...and a few of us still sitting there. I will never EVER forget the look on his face. :cry4: And I will never EVER forgive them for it.

Such a me, me, me mentality without ever thinking (or caring, IMO) about the possible consequences.

BUT....not to leave with a downer....can't WAIT for Scarlett's clack, but in the meantime, that video of bigapple4clay's is outstanding video as well as audio! :F_05BL17blowkiss: and :woman: and :dancingpickle: and ESPECIALLY :wub::wub:

  11. aikim and Caro, I knowwwww he's a pro, and he never disappoints (not actually possible as far as I'm concerned) and I know it's not rational. And I can't explain it. But it's real. I can hardly watch a live show. Ask luckiest1. *g* There's a reason my 'location' used to be 'hiding behind the sofa cushions'. :cryingwlaughter:

Yup...that's pretty much still me! :clay: I completely know it's not rational, but it just is! Concerts I have no problem with, because, I think, I think of him as just being with family and friends.

So, I'll be here at home, willing him through it tonight. :lmaosmiley-1:

I think we'll at least have audio clack; I received an enquiry from a friend who uses the same capture device that I have, as to how to get it uploaded when she has it. She's set to go with the info, and with the device...keeping my fingers crossed!

  12. Post-ho'ing to add this link that I just discovered at the OFC...I'm sure our Miss Scarlett must be involved, maybe I missed a post from her?

In any case, this is a TBAF-approved fundraiser:

    Striped Socks Sirens

Looks like they'll have some wonderful goodies when they're ready!

ETA: Kim, go back to jmh123's picture post and you'll see the hand-on-each-ass trick in progress! :lmaosmiley-1:

  13. Anywhooo....he pushed me over the edge, and I wrote like crazy and pressed "send". Probably for nothing, but what the hey. It'll be fun to know that he actually reads it.

I think it must be catching. I just hit "send" too. :fca:

:cryingwlaughter: He's nothing if not inspirational!

SLC's Newark clack is up, and she posted some screencaps too.

    Bad, bad Clay. :naughtywag:

    34hehe.jpg

    seesaw.gif

OMG, that is absolutely HYSTERICAL!! :lmaosmiley-1: I LOVE him!! Was that from AFTER the a-hand-on-each-ass trick I wonder? :lmaosmiley-1:

  14. Loved the blog! :cryingwlaughter: Teacher mode indeed! When is he NOT in teacher mode?

Sounds like he's going nuts trying to get this done, though....watch what you ask for....

Anywhooo....he pushed me over the edge, and I wrote like crazy and pressed "send". Probably for nothing, but what the hey. It'll be fun to know that he actually reads it.

Clay :F_05BL17blowkiss: you're awesome! I can't believe he's actually doing this himself, as busy as he is. He must miss homework!

  15. As far as the Christmas tour, I thought that advertising was up to the theatres. Was I wrong?

I have no idea who advertises them (doesn't really matter to me) but can I just vent a bit about all the whining and complaining that goes on before every tour starts, by people who are disappointed with ticket sales, but who also continue to spout their theories all over the place - you know, about how tired the set list is (when we don't even know it yet) or how boring the show will be, or how unentertaining the stories will be (like they can know in advance?) *sigh* And yet once the first show hits and he WOWs and surprises us again (as I know he will) there will be a mad dash for tickets in the front orchestra sections. And much whining about how no good seats are available and how the brokers & scalpers are making a bundle, etc etc etc. Rinse, lather, repeat.

Oh, please DO vent! I'm there too. Good Lord. <_<

Thanks for the "Numbers" answer, kandre; that's what I figured, but thought I'd missed something in the translation perhaps.

Not sure about anyone else, but as I am unable to go to Las Vegas or Sedaka, I'm really looking forward to my Christmas romp in the snow with our BF! Can hardly wait!
