  1. While we're at it , has anyone heard anything about Hotel Beacon? It's on Broadway & W75th st?

Would it be safe to take the subway there at night?

Well I probably shouldn't speak...since I've never been, but my kid goes a couple of times a year to visit a friend and for work and they never take the subway after dark.

Never thought to ask why. I just assumed they felt safer.

They do take the subway during the day....she loves the subway system.

  2. Randy said that Clay was a very talented guy and he could so anything that he wanted to. It was all good.
    <_<

Right...and then he'll show up on some talk show with Simon and do impersonations of Clay as Sir Robin...I trust those Three Stooges as far as I can throw Randy! He knows Linda's a fan...now if he were to be a guest of Conan? I can imagine his commentary might be different.

LOL So true! Randy flip-flops more fish on a beach! But it's always fun to catch some one in a flip-flop.

Wow....there have been some seriously sick people here.....both in mind and body! LOL I hope all those who have been suffering with that nasy cold/flu crud feel better quickly.

I have been working way more then I like to, but this past weekend I did manage a get away with my girlfriends...two of who are going to see Spamalot and two of us who are not....*sigh*. We had a great time, they area scrappers...so we spent some time in Scrapbook stores, did some other shopping, ate out, talked Clay and watched lots of clack. Everything from AI tour to last summer in Ashville. I love that these girl were brought into my life through the wonders of the Clay World.

  3. From AuntiKMimi at the OFC

Hi Ladies, Randy Jackson was just on the WRAL noon news. He was being interviewed by Lynda Loveland and she mention that Raleigh was Clay's hometown and Randy threw out props to Clay in NY. Lynda said that she had just came back from NY seeing Clay in Spamalot. Randy said that Clay was a very talented guy and he could so anything that he wanted to. It was all good. Hopefully they will put the video up on WRAL's web site, or maybe someone capped it and will put up the link.
  4. Okay...getting ready to head out the door to work (again!)...will chase down links when I get home...but here are my three....

1-Seat Stealer....where Clay chastises a fan for stealing a front row seat (from Solo) from her own 8th row seat. I believe it is Charlotte JNT '06

2-Vermont is a very nice city....His cracking up...cracks me up! Vermont, JBT, WDC...Spotlightlover

3-The Amusement park ride banter and bribes during Solo Tour '04

This was made so much easier by seeing most everyone had mentioned all my other favorites... :F_05BL17blowkiss: Sometimes it's good to be late to the party.

  5. Morning! SUNSHINE!! Thank GAWD!

CG, it took me a while to see it too, but after much careful study, I did see it. Now I'm back to studying again...hee.

    Prepinch:

...and now I think maybe, knowing what came after, I'm noticing things that might not really be there....but in the pic that ldyj posted, I think that Clay didn't NEED to turn around and see who it was that pinched his butt. Because, if you look at the pic, in the expressions on both of their faces I'm seeing two people that are hyper-aware of one another.

You know how it is, when you're crushin' on someone, and you don't need to see them come in the room....you just know they're there?

Her face is sayin' ......hee-HEE!! I think I'll pinch his butt!

    And his face is sayin'.....WHUT??

    :cryingwlaughter:

    I love it!

    *sa-woon*

I love the way you think, Claygary!!

That just put a big ole smile on my face! A great way to get the day going!

(I hadn't even bothered to look and see who else was in the picture yet.)

And I'm late, worked all weekend...but WELCOME to Calclay and gloch!

  6. Ahhhh....this time next week I will still not be seeing Spamalot. *sniff*

However! I will be getting together with my 3 Clay buds for 4 days of girl time......always a good thing!!

So YAY!! I have something to look forward to!

And we will get to enjoy ogling Clay...backdoor pics, video and detailed reports....whatever....together.

Thanks to all who provide for the needy. :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  7. I think Jason is a nice piece of eye candy and I do like him and he doesn't yet fit anywhere

I like him a lot, but every once in a while when I'm watching him 'Blossom' pops into my mind and I get a giggle. He's prettier, though.

I also like David Cook. He's creative.

OMG..Blossom! You are right! LOL Okay....forget my eye candy comment! :whistling-1:

Well...I still think he has pretty eyes.... :P

  8. Your late night blog update

    American Idle

    Talking about jason castro

Jason Castro is the kind of singer who doesn’t fit into any one category. He’s not a rocker, he’s not a country singer, he’s not a soul singer and so he’s having trouble finding where he best fits in the competition. He hasn’t blown anyone away with his vocals but he still keeps hanging around. I knew a guy who did that and his name was Clay Aiken. Castro is unlike anyone else in Idol 7 and for that reason that makes him dangerous.

I think Jason is a nice piece of eye candy and I do like him and he doesn't yet fit anywhere...but yeah...Clay's vocals blew everyone away!

    Jason's performance last night

  9. another blogger discussed Ruben singing Celebrate me home and included a video of Clay singing the song in concert to show what it will be like - only probably not. I expect a slightly slower version.

Interesting. Do I really remember Simon saying if Rueben had sung Bridge Over Trouble Waters, that would be the version we all loved...or some such nonsense. Am I remembering right?

Either way, we will now get to hear his version of a Clay song.....wonder which one we'll like best?!

I really like Rube...but that Aiken guy pretty much does it for me.

I'm so glad the blogger grabbed a version with a growl...YUM!

  10. Annabear...be careful! People are clamouring everywhere for some sort of Spamalot bear. You could find yourself with a nifty little side line job...

I am available to work from my home....shall I work on perfecting the extensions necessary for little red wigs? LOL

Okay...in 7 hours I will be winging my way from Michigan to Florida for 10 days.....please try to keep the racket down in here....this is supposed to be a restful vacation! Anything exciting happens, like someone gets married or announces the lead in a new movie musical or say...details on a cd....someone let me know. I will be checking in........

  11. Okay ladies....thank you for all your help today. I will sleep much better tonight, knowing I'm not totally overboard and hoping a good ole fashion letter will help us settle this.

But for now, I am off to finish the last of my packing, it's off to the airport with me at 4 in the morning, hubby and I are off to Florida for two weeks.

See you all when I get back.

  12. JMH.....I started with the 'when can we come' chatter long ago....she ignores it. And actually right now she is on one of her better rotations, emergency room.... with weekends off. This weekend she threw her boyfriend a surprise birthday on Saturday, then spent Sun afternoon and evening with his family.

Perhaps her April is going to be super busy. Though she did indicate that spring would not be a good time to visit...so that takes us into June.

I don't think it would bug me so much, if we could even just talk to her on a regular basis. Saturday was the first time we had a chance to talk to her in 5 weeks and the conversation lasted all of 8 minutes.

She loves getting mail...so probably a letter is the way I am going to have to go.

And JMH....if your parents ever want to drive a long way...just to have dinner with you...LET THEM! LOL

It's one of the normal everyday things we do with the two kids living close by, it'd be nice to do just that with her as well. Even if it does involve a 10 hour drive, one way.

  13. Thanks Cha-cha....I think I will pull together a letter while on vacation these next two weeks.

The trick will be to not lay on a obvious guilt trip.

It's always bugged me that she has been so over the top independent...but I encouraged all the kids to go and see the world....I just didn't think we wouldn't be welcome to come visit/do dinner.

As you said, we are not getting any younger and this past September I lost my best friend of 35 years to cancer, she was 4 years younger then I am. I don't know how much of 'that' is messin' with my feelings as well.

It helped to write about it here where I was pretty sure I could get some helpful feedback.

I have and I thank you.
