This is the part where I get serious. And I hesitate writing it, but it is the truth for me and it looks like things were getting pretty serious writing-wise over the weekend. I will unequivocally say I do not accept fans who say he is gay, but still "love" him. Who have no grasp of the harm they do and have done. In my opinion, it's the tabloid rumors that became accepted as truth that have hurt Clay's career the most. And many of the fans fed that. And they hurt him personally. I saw his hands shake on GMA discussing it. I. don't. ever. want. to. see. that. again.

If that's what someone believes and I don't understand why anyone would think they know better than what Clay has stated about himself, STFU about it. Just STFU about it. Go join the CIA or Congress or some place where superomniscience is appreciated.

I have never watched that interview with Diane S even to this day. I have it downloaded in my HD. Just the look of hurt on his face was enough for me not to watch it. I hated those that put him through this. I wish someday, somehow he will be vindicated.

Finally finished reading the fascinating posts. my, my y'all been busy. very interesting convo yesterday and today.

I am a very laid back fan. I love what clay offers me as a fan. he sells me tees and stuff, I buy, he sells me CDs, I buy, he sells me tickets to his concerts, I buy, he tells me to support causes near and dear to him, I support with open mind and open heart and not to exclude my wallet.

Why do I do these things, It is simple really, it's because he makes me happy. He brought so much joy to my life. I went to places I woudn't have gone if not for him. He tells me to renew OFC , I am more than willing to do so. Because in exchange, I get to read his blog and I get to respond to him. I get to see what he is thinking of and what he is doing directly from him. He may not tell me all but, I get a glimpse of what is keeping him busy.

I do care about him and his endeavors. For all the joy he brought into my life , I will continue to support him. I get so much in return.

Hello all , I did not know I can sign in through Meet and Greet. At least, with you all and maybe never with clay, but one can only hope that maybe someday he'll choose my name.

I am on two boards. CB and CV and now here. Although I go tho these sites, I tend to lurk more than post. It is fun to read everyone's post and for some reason I can't think of anything scintillating to add to the conversation most times. I pipe in once in a while when I have something on my mind to share. But I enjoy the sense of humor and the wonderful camaraderie forged in these boards. It is truly amazing.

I am claymeanslove at the CV and leeanaforclay at the CB. I almost forgot I am also a member of OFC under leeana like I am here.

I go to the OFC only when Clay blogs or when Jemock wants to share her decidedly hilarious thoughts.

I do my best to attend at least one of Clay's concerts. There are times that I can manage to attend more than one but this Christmas Tour I can only do one and that will be in kalamazoo.

I discovered Clay after the Wild Card. He's got me ever since.

And it gives me a segue into something I wanted to say--I've said it before, but reading this recap reinforced it. I know some of the long term fans have been unhappy with some of Clay's humor this tour, with the long banter sections, the medleys, the girl's solos and the like, but I think these are the very things that have appealed to a lot of the husbands, sons, and other male attendees. I've never heard so many positive reports of men enjoying the show, or of so many husbands agreeing to go. (Pretty strange for a tour supporting a supposedly boring covers album isn't it?) Clay really is such a guy sometimes, and guy appreciate that. It's good for his image, and for expanding his fan base. If he never wins over the male audience, he will never be more than Clay with his Claymates, which, BTW, is fine with me, but I just think those who want him to increase in popularity and be more accepted might have to accept some things they don't like as much for that to happen--so he can appeal to a wider demographic.

I am one Clay fan who finally got the inclusion of the girls solos. They added texture to the whole show. Not that I find all Clay show without texture, but the girls were added value. The very first time I enjoyed Angela is it me or did they improve just as Clay has improved. I actually enjoyed both of them very much. Listen is such an ear worm

Which is related to the Foxworthy show, cause Foxworthy's humor in his comedy shows is perfectly awful to me, and being that he's the host and sets the tone, not everything Clay says or does on this show may be funny or appealing to all of the fans--but, just possibly, it might appeal to others, and it's a good thing if Clay broadens his appeal beyond "the three thousand."

I am all for this. I want Clay to be bringing his original 3000 and additional 7000 to the next tours.

I must share this . I am sooo nervous for Clay today. Just 1 1/ hours to go before he goes on and tapes this show that we don't even know when it will show up.

I watched this game show fist time last Friday? and really the questions can get difficult epecially the math. Aaarrrrrggggg. please tell me I am not the only one.
