  1. sweetT4clay Congratulations on your landmark birthday!
  2. Looking for a job? Tourism officials in Australia are describing it as "the best job in the world". They want someone to work on a tropical island off the Queensland coast. No formal qualifications are needed but candidates must be willing to swim, snorkel, dive and sail. In return, the successful applicant will receive a salary of A$150,000 ($103,000, £70,000) for six months and get to live rent-free in a three-bedroom villa, complete with pool. Anthony Hayes, Chief Executive, Tourism Queensland, said: "It doesn't sound too bad does it? We are looking for someone to tell the stories of
  3. Funny you should say that... I am also someone who has never understood the fuss over Carrie. I can understand that she would be popular, but not to the extent that she obviously is.
  4. annabear, I guess you're in the wrong job. Look at what I received in an email today... Disclaimer: If you are running for Pres, please don't come after me. I got the above in an email and was told to pass it on. I am just being obedient.
  5. Aloha BJ!! I loved Kauai - that's where the movie South Pacific was filmed, right? I am sure we were told that pretty much upon arrival. It is an unbelievably beautiful place. We had a great time at the Club Med resort, but were also taken around the island. Welcome to everyone!
  6. Car that runs on air! Can you believe they couldn't find investors for the project, hence the delays....
  7. More about Ruben's wedding.... <SNIP> …Studdard is going back to his “Idol’ roots by doing an album of covers. (Clay did it!). In his case, he’ll do R&B classics by the likes of Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson. Working with Minneapolis producers Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam, Studdard is nearly done and Evans said he’s aiming for an August release date. (Lewis and Jam helped produce his farewell song for “Idol” this season “Celebrate Me Home”).
  8. Whoa. This sounds like a major shindig! Thanks! He's one heck of a nice guy, he deserves all the happiness in the world. (I wonder if Clay will be there... maybe even one of those 20???)
  9. Break-a-leg annabear!!!! I know someone who used to apply for jobs (even though she wasn't unhappy with the one she was in) just to sharpen her skills at job interviews in case something came up that she was interested in!!
  10. You know, it really is outrageous that a solution to the oil issue was not addressed several decades ago. There are several inexpensive alternatives and all it takes is a long term commitment by the government and everyone else concerned with the transport industry. I've been debating this for a long time and have heard every excuse possible. None of it makes sense. The same goes for other forms of cleaner energy. Solar energy makes perfect sense, it's clean, it's free. It will never run out. If we are smart enough to get to the moon, we are surely smart enough as a species to find a s
  11. It's around $1.50/$1.60 per litre my end of the world. That's over $5.00 per gallon. It's affecting the cost of everything else, especially food.
  12. O MG Gibby, that's too many sizzling hawt pics of Clay in one post, do you want my PC to catch fire?
  13. I suspect this story has been circulating for a while but I have only just read it for the first time and, of course, I thought of Clay because it's basically about inclusion, and what a gift THAT is to everyone involved, not just to the child who is at the center of this heartwarming story.
  14. Nothing is EVER worth compromising your integrity for. A clear conscience is a soft pillow (I think I heard that mentioned in LTS).
  15. Did anyone watch Rock the Cradle? My only interest in it is that Chloe, Olivia Newton-John's daughter, is in it. I hope she does well but while she can sing a little and sounds good when doing a duet with her mother, she really doesn't have the ability to carry a song on her own. I really feel for her because she's had a really tough time in her young life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tebrN_ydsHU...feature=related I can't watch it because it is not screened in Oz, at least not on free TV.
