I'm going to the gala. CF got us tickets. I wanna have a party now. This has been a great week.

Glad to see Clay came to Couchie's rescue. I am so happy for the news. I'd actually heard it first from my daughter who got an alert from Clay's myspace. So TC hit the OFC, myspace, and facebook, which is already more promo than he got from OMWH. And I too love that he was able to get the news out first.
-
Couchie, so sorry you might not be able to go to the gala and that you've been feeling down. Hope things turn around for you. A little good Clay news should help. Let's hope his soon this time is actually real time soon and not Clay time. And I hope if things change for you, that you will be able to pick up a ticket later. Now I'm hoping that I'll be able to get a ticket. One more day.

Wow, I'd never seen pic #1 before either. He is just stunningly beautiful in that one. I did love the blonde hair but had to go with #1 in this round.
-
I went with #2 also cuz I loved the bearded look, and I love all of the clack from that night.
-
Geesh, most of these are hard. It's like deciding between your kids. I'm gonna have to go with #2 because it's more close-up but he looks so sweet when he's pensive.
-
Well treenuts, your explanation worked for me. There is just something about the AMA pic that tugs at my heart. So Couchie and Perma, I threw some love that way too and picked #2.
-
treenuts, just read what you said over at CH and I'm going to hell right along with you so at least you'll have company.
-
I also had to go with #1 for the same reason as cindilu. Just look at those lips and the hands. I was there for #2, and like cindilu, if it had been clack, it would have to be that one but for sheer beauty alone, #1 gets my vote.
-
Me too. I'm Christine from the witness protection program.

I like that picture too, both the smile and the sweater. Nice and clingy, and of course, striped.
Dammit, now I'm going to have to join Facebook. Hadn't planned on it since most of the people I like are Clay fans so I didn't see the point, but now I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and join.
-
This one was harder than yesterdays but I had to go with the smile. His whole face just lights up when he smiles.
-
I went with #2 also because #1 doesn't look like him. Plus he looks so good in a suit.

I can't say that I worry too much about Clay, however I am extremely impatient. I hate not knowing stuff, which means that I have no problems reading the endings of books or finding out the endings of movies or shows. So I really want to know what is up with Clay. The only way I can wait for something like Christmas is because I know when it's coming. So even if Clay could give us a heads up on when, other than soon, I would greatly appreciate it.

Well, I definitely don't watch FOX news for political reasons, and because they are all idiots on there, but I do like a lot of shows on FOX. Still watch AI but it's kind of a hate/love type deal there. Also watch Bones and House, and now Mental, and of course SYTYCD.

Found this at NNHB but it was brought over from CV. It's from coopersgirl. She'd been at the AI tour and met this woman at her hotel that she had talked to before.
Now for the Clay part of my trip. I stayed at the DoubleTree Hotel, and when we arrived we were told it would be 3 more hours before we could check in. We decided to get some coffee and wait for my niece when this kind familar looking lady ask us if we were going to the concert. I told her yes, and then told her she looked so familar to me, we talked about all the places we have lived, and then she said do you go to concerts alot? I told her I usually only go to Clay Aiken concerts, and she said then that is how we recognize you. I met her in the elevator at Tulsa, she was in charge of making Clay happy and getting him around the city. I told her we had talked before and she had such nice things to say about him that I commented about her on my message board. Then she tells me that He was the sweetest thing ever. She is now the concierge at DoubleTree, she said he kept trying to take care of her while he was there. He would tell her to sit down, go take a nap, Do not wait up all night for me, I am a night owl. She said she didn't get a picture with him because she just doesn't like to bother her guests like that, but she thinks about him often. She was wondering if he was doing anything since he had Parker, " she new his name" This lady was so sweet she introduced us to the General Manager, told him our story, and he said that he was sponcering the state most valuable concierge, or most helpful hotel employee, and she was chosen. He told his people, " get her to sign a contract" She has been there a year, and within 20 minutes we were in our room with a crate full of the best warm chocolate chip cookies I have ever eaten. Plus they bought our Latte's. When we got ready to go to our room she said, " Hey if you see Clay tell him hi for me" Like I would be able to speak if I ever did see him. Her name is Joyce Clark, she said if any of your friends ever stay here tell them to find me and tell me they are fans of Clay and I will treat them right.I just love reading these kinds of stories because it just shows what we already know about Clay. That he is truly one of the good guys.

I'm with Couchie as far as SYTYCD. I like watching the dancers and the routines but no one sticks out for both talent and personality. Evan is definitely adorable, and he is great dancing in his style. With a partner, he's kind of hit or miss. Ade has been one of my picks though from the beginning. He's got a lot of power and strength, and I love when he does his jumps and flips. I like watching Kayla dance but haven't noticed much as far as personality.

He sure cracks me up, and what a tease. Hope he doesn't make us wait to long to tell us. Patience is not one of my virtues.

ldyj, I was reading your post in the other thread about your husband being your best friend and that's what I always hoped for. Definitely didn't have it with my ex, but I did want kids so he was good for that at least. Not so worried about marriage, especially cuz I aint into the whole wedding deal, but sure would love the honeymoon. But I still want to find that someone who I'd want to spend the rest of my life with.

Got a question for anyone who posts at CV. I downloaded Firefox yesterday and since then I haven't been able to check out CV. Is anyone else having a problem getting in? Or got any suggestions.

That old saying about ignorance is bliss sure isn't applicable in this case. Hard to believe there are still people that stupid.
Love my pretend bf getting pissed and sharing that with us.
Luckiest, is it easier since you live in Canada? At NNHB, we had a discussion Miss California gave her opinion, and they were saying that in Canada, they had passed legislation for gay rights several years ago. I know having the legal rights doesn't always correlate to how the general public reacts, but I just wondered if it was better there.

I'm hoping to go if we can get tickets. Probably won't get to go to the breakfast since I'm rooming with CF so I don't think she'll want to get her lazy ass out of bed that early but I hope to meet all of you at some point. Right now, I'm planning on going from Friday evening until sometime Sunday, but I start student teaching in the fall and it wouldn't look good to miss days. Maybe I'll get lucky and it will be during the schools fall break or teacher days or something.

I love Clay's banter as much as his voice. The cd's I make have a song, then banter, then a song, then banter, etc. And everytime I listen to them, they put a smile on my face, and will remind me of another piece of clack that cracked me up. Like him putting Quiana on his lap because they wouldn't keep the spotlight on her, or him winking at Angela and pretending to make the moves on her when her family was there, or him chasing Angela with the ice cube during WDC.
And the voice is like no other. I love the distinctive voices like Bette Midler, Barbara Streisand, Elton John, and Elvis, but Clay has a tone to his voice that, for me, is absolutely perfect.
Couchie, I remember when Boys 2 Men first came out and I saw them singing acappello on Regis and Kathie Lee (I watched that show for years until Kelly went after Clay, haven't watched it since). I thought Boys 2 Men were amazing and they had a lot of songs that I liked. Loved Clay's version of EOTR better though. I'd love for him to sing more songs like that because that was one of the highlights for me during the JBT.
#53: God, I love that man. He rocks my socks.

Yeah, you gave it to me last night, but I just pm'd her to ask how she wanted me to pay her.
