  1. My most vivid memory about the Toronto JBT, aside from meeting up with some of my online buddies, (most specifically, one from California), was hearing Clay sing "O Canada". As we were leaving the venue after the show, I passed cindilu2 and commented about how that had choked me up even if he didn't quite get the tune right. She replied with something like "Oh, we can change it to his version, I could live with that!"

    Broke me up! :hysterical:

Honestly it was great that he knew it, I don't know myself, we don't hear it much here in Quebec of course.

  2. I have to admit I'm getting rather pissed at the closing ceremonies. They keep interrupting it. I've seen the Phelps swim, uh like 100 times already adn they are screwing with the continuity of the closing ceremonies..can't even get into the feel of it. Next Olympics I will be looking to alternatives to American network tv, even if i have to pay for it.

But it is nice to hear Clay's name all over the place. Stanley Clay on the US vollyball team and Clay something or other that won the decathalon. If they actually showed that event I missed it in my 100s of hours of watching.

Gay talk has been there from the beginning and will always be there no matter what Clay does for the rest of his life.

It's Sunday night already. Geesh. Ooh but next monday is a holiday. Something to look forward to.

OK my sister has had the puppy for one day and my little lioness is already crying that now that they have the puppy no body cares about her. Thank god I'm not a parent. I really don't know how ya'll deal.

I didn't look at anything re the olympics, maybe I should have. Anyhow I'm new here. Just wanted to ask about the pic of clay and his mother coming of the hospital. Doesn't it seem like Faye has those hospital baby pics in her purse? just seems like them to me.

  3. Just got back from a very fun afternoon at the American Folk Festival in Bangor. It's a beautiful day here, a perfect day for music and fun in the sun. Ate the red, white and blue shortcake, listened to the music, and of course bought the T-shirt!

Anyone familiar with the Junkyard Band out of DC area? What fun they were! Their PA gave me a website address to get their CD (which they were sold out of at the show)...but there's nothing on it!...so I won't bother to post it.

I did get some (I think) fun video, audio and pictures which I'll bore y'all with later when I get home and can "render" them.

Luckiest1, as soon as the shuttle got into the downtown area I realized what your interest was~Stephen King, right? Wow, those are some of the Stephen King-iest houses I've ever seen! :lmaosmiley-1: Unfortunately, could NOT get pictures out of the shuttle windows as they have one of those advertising masks over top of them, which you can see through but which definitely does NOT facilitate pictures through it.

Someone in NB mentioned to me that I should just "ask anyone" here, and they would give you directions to his house, which is here and which apparently you can drive right by. I'd forgotten about it until I saw the houses but I may do that tomorrow (and will try and get some pictures).

Glad you had a fun time in Bangor. Back to work for me tomorrow after 3 weeks off. One highlight of my vacation was meeting fans in London, Ont. I had a great time and hope to see some of them again in Jan at Spamalot.

Also learned things about Clay while in London, it was a clay crash course, lol

  4. Weary wave! Ca-RAP, I'm tired, it's been a very, very long week at work and this hotel is without a doubt the noisiest I've ever been in in my life. Never again. Finished work at 11:30 last night.

My vacation is disappearing as I speak (keep your fingers crossed for me) as I had to initiate an LP investigation at the store I was in yesterday, and the investigator called me already at 5 AM this morning. Ack!!

Preden, welcome to the board! We're so happy to see you in our UNreal lives as well! :hysterical:Me myb, if you're lurking, now we just have to get you to post more and I think our little group will be complete, right?

Scarlett1 and alter ego Scarlett2....hope you get/got off the ground! I've had that happen on a long-weekend vacation, and it just sucks bigtime.

Forgot to add, cindilu2 the banner is bee-YOOtiful and so are the pins! Put me down for 2.

thank you myclaygary! what is My myb? I'm new at this. How do you post? Have a good day!

  5. I hate Thursday afternoons too. I come in early every day, that's just my schedule. I am up early so I come in early. Usually, I can leave by 4:00 or so because I've put all my required hours in. However, on Thursdays I have to do a particular job that relies on others doing their part first. So, yeah, I don't always get to leave on time. Hatesssssssssss.

I am looking forward to my two mini-vacations, Raleigh in October, and NYC in December. I always like to have something to look forward to in the fall months, because I am one who tends to gets depressed when summer ends. I wish it lasted longer! However, this time, the end of summer signifies the start of more Clay. YAY!
