  1. i wish that show was coming by me!

not surprised at all that they wanted Fantasia back. The Color Purple website defended her absences. She had to have throat surgery right after her run on Broadway. She wasn't sure she would loose her voice. She was very lucky (she said some nights after shows her throat was bleeding).

I believe the article about that is in Sister Sister magazine.

  2. maybe one of Clay's friends will be here

Theatre and daytime television stars are coming out to support Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS at the 23RD ANNUAL BROADWAY FLEA MARKET & GRAND AUCTION to be held on Sunday, September 27 from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM in Shubert Alley (225 West 45th Street).

The event will be held outdoors in Shubert Alley and is free and open to the public. From posing with your favorite Broadway and Daytime stars for photos, to buying that lost cast recording, signed show posters and Playbills, rare costume sketches or special gift for a theatre-lover you can't find anywhere - this year's BROADWAY FLEA MARKET & GRAND AUCTION promises to offer something for everyone.

The Grand Auction has always been the highlight of the Flea Market event and this year will not disappoint.

  3. Hee, just a tad out of the way, but thanks. ;)

OK, O/T, but anyone who has peeked in at my foodie blog will understand my excitement...I got myself added to a blogroll here. It's a site dedicated to cooking blogs, for people who attempt to cook their way through a certain cookbook. Shades of Julie/Julia. :whistling-1:

Congrats!! Did Julie/Julia just inspire everyone to cook or has that site been around for a while. When I saw the movie I was inspired to go out to dinner at a restaurant. Julia's recipes looked way to complicated for this microwave girl

    merrieeee, :pushingcake:

    Happy Birthday Merieeee :)

Is anyone going to the David & Friends concert? Just read Ruben joined the tour for I believe 10 shows

  4. Sorry, canfly, but hair is NOT everything, IMO. If it was, I think there would have been a lot a people who would have left the fandom a long time ago over some of his hair styles! LOL.

Yesterday's photo tourney wasn't even close, although we have had bigger blowouts in the tourney. Here is today's winner...

    KimmelGlance.jpg

Here's today's photo tourney poll. We're down to our final six pictures being revealed...and I think KAndre will like one of today's choices...

is there a prize for the person who picked the most pictures that didn't win??

    I think I win

Wow, I've heard no love for his "coming out/'08 Gala" hair--short and spiky but dark red instead of the bleach-y blond-y/brown-y hair of the AI days. I FLOVED that hair! :flirtysmile3: Maybe it's just 'cause of the timing that it appeared, though.

His hair is naturally light? I'm a horrible Clayfan. I thought his hair was naturally a dark auburny color--like it was during his audition for Idol. (And during the above time, heh.)

ETA: I just found this :tomato: and it made me crack up! Don't ask me why... I guess I'm just easy!

I loved that hair. I do like when his hair looks more natural then styled. I am usually okay with whatever hair but I just didn't like the straighted to an inch of his life overly blonde hair.

  5. Well here's my new babee and guess what I finally told my DH I'd bought it! :cryingwlaughter:

Well I'm back.......had to go for a little ride!

OMG I plugged my iPod in the USB Port and I told the car to play Clay Aiken and it wanted to know which song so I said OMWH of course.

    Freaking unreal!

congrats!:) on your new car. Sounds fancy.

Luckiest1at least you have cook one. My son from Florida called me last year and wanted to know how to cook a rack of lamb. Someone had given it to him. He doesn't cook much but had made a turkey on Thanksgiving and a ham at Christmas. My answer was I do not know, I had never cooked lamb. I told him to go google it. He made it and said it was great. Now I can say at least you can cook something your mother can't.

Hee, well thanks to Jamie Oliver I know how. ;) I've been cooking recipes from a couple of his cookbooks, and yesterday I even started a blog about it, more a record for myself than anything else. Kind of a diary of my cooking escapades, if you will. Hee. I'm having fun.

nice blog. Should we expect a movie version of Luckiest & Jamie ?

my friend uploaded the JBT Boston concert. This is what she says about it -- Several video clips were pulled together and spliced by me throughout the play list in order to get as many close-up shots as possible of Clay's performances.

She is the one who posted a while back how her son introduced her to Clay's music :)

  9. Any Foodies here?

these 3 chefs are having a cooking demo/show/book signing by me. Rocco, Tyler Florence and Pat &Gina Neely. The tickets are $99.00, $45.00 and $25.00. A elderly lady at work is in love with Rocco. We want to get her & her daughter tickets but are wondering if we should go for the $99.00. The only thing it says is you sit in the gourmet section & a surprise. The $45.00 tickets are by the stage & off to the side.

don't know if the extra money to sit in the gourmet section is worth it.

We went to see a Steve Miller band concert last week. My friend was trying to take a picture of him. We were up high & she was focus her camera (which yes took her forever) the lady behind us whacked her chair with her cane about 5 times. told her she wasn't allowed to take videos. We were like "what ta heck??" funny the guy in front of us recorded the whole concert with a big video camera. Made me think of all the Clack gathers.

Steve Miller was awesome & did one set all acoustic. Think we can get Clay to do that?

Where is the line start to start pulling off those little white things off Clay's shirt?

  10. Thank you for the photos bottlecap and FromClaygary. I wonder if this man is an agent or PR person.

It is good to see Clay looking well and happy. I am pleased for Clay that he has had his jaw problem corrected.

I love this man and his voice but....I got imprinted with a different face and I look at him now and really, it is taking me a long time to get used to this new face.

Despite all the changes brought by maturity, hair style and weight loss or gain, the basic structure of his face didn't change, now his face has a different structure and I just hope that soon, please soon, I will look at a photo of the new Clay and consider it as beautiful as the pre surgery photos that have been posted in the FCA Photo Tourney.

Call me shallow if you will but if I can't share these thoughts here, where can I?

We all have different tastes in what we find attractive. Just look at the photo journey contestant. Every time someone thinks a picture is hot and the other one is just cute I feel the opposite way. I have always found geeky guys in glasses hot so whenever there is a picuture of Clay in glasses I think it is hot. Others usually don't. I use to make my ex-boyfriend put his glasses on all the time (that is a different story).

My niece (12) has always said Clay was cute & sweet but said it was because of his personality.

She has been his fan for 6 years now. But, she had her first celebrity crush last year on David Archuleta. Now she doesn't even care what David is doing but still follows Clay career.
