  1. I believe that yummy trifecta of moving pants is from JN-NAT 06 at Merrillville. Clay was verrrry happy to see us LOL

The finger in his dimple shot was taken during an interview the morning after the AI2 finale, and I have nooo idea where but someplace around L.A. I think Clay said later on that he and Rubin were loopy from lack of sleep and being interviewed, and some compliment to him made him do that "I'm so sweet" gesture.

  2. D'AAAAAAAAWWW. *melts at #1*

So, here to prove my relative newbie-ishness again, why is #2 called a 'shoetying' picture? Is he really getting ready to tie his shoes? Also, is that a concert picture? ('Cause it reminds me of his AI Fantasy appearance....)

Are ya serious or being funny on purple? coz if you can picture a fan at Clay's feet, and put a real good feel good fantasy to work on that ... (it was a tour pic BTW)

  3. NO prob at all voting for #1 -- that Clay with the happy face treating a little boy is irresistable to me.

Won't say that I didn't just spend 5 min. staring in stupefaction at #2 -- heh -- and then I hadda go BACK coz Muski mentioned the Clipple!!!!! How'd I miss THAT!!!!! :Imok:

    (sings) Clay's with Decca!

    Recording again!

    Look for a tour in 2010! :04:

  4. Funny how #2 got everyones vote, I'm going with #1!! Love that smile and he looks so happy!

Hey, not everybody went for #2, I personally love #1 and echo you on the smile on his happy face.

Not sure what's up with peeps saying that #1 pic seems "off" or "creeps them out."

  5. DEFinitely #1 for me, no prob choosing, altho' I do love the face pic, those lovely furry brows, lips pursed, oo yum!

Sally, I'll echo that -- "whole man in motion" -- plus I SO LOVE to see Clay "in full cry" while singing.

Come to think of it, "in full cry" while doing som'pin' ELSE would be good also. Oooh Bon's smuttin'!!

    :hubbahubba:

  6. OK I voted for #2, no prob choosing for me coz I loved how much Clay loved getting to be on SNL. All the promo pix and station break pix were so great. His smile, those shining GGs, waaaay cute.

Canfly, loved your photo gallery. I adore the NYC Clay in the striped top with jacket coz he is just damn hunky there. He looks -- FULFILLED, to me. Dreamy. Maybe thinking of his soon-to-be-born son, and his *other* baybay too? The other one that slays me is #7, oooh the hair, those shoulders and of course that fine ASS!! See, that would be my idea of a tourney -- Clay's front side, or Clay's backside? BWAAAH!!

    :loveclaysbutt:

  7. #1 for me, hands down. Whhhhooooweeeee, is it hot in here from that look he's giving in that pic? Something like, "get in this car now, baby, and I'll take you for a ride you'll never forget."

:yeahthat:Took the words right outa my mouth!!

  8. I definitely went for #1 !! That sexy look in #2 grabs my attention tho' -- had to go back, thinking, "WHAT tux???" LOL

Lately I've been staying off the boards coz I keep feeling as if I'm a lovelorn girl, mooning over old pix of her BF and crying sad word balloons. You know? But I'm sure he'll come back to us. He just HAS TO!!! Doncha think? Anyway, I'm :hangin: in there.

  9. ... (snipped)

Cognito, I'm glad nobody was injured on the 4th.

I have a little gift for you -

    (be sure to double click)

    :chair:

Omigawww!! Thanks, Tree, I had forgotten about that PS'd pic. Skeeeryyy!! :scared:

A funny -- my dermatologist boss stopped dictating on a tape today, and suddenly I heard part of "No More Sad Song" from MOAM. I freaked out while transcribing -- did Hell freeze over and WRVR in Memphis is playing MOAM? Nope, it's a ring tone the boss got on his phone. Aw geez. :boredsmiley:

  10. :bomb: Just POPping in to say Hey -- had a real nice Fourth and survived my son and nephew's neighborhood fireworks shenanigans. At ages 24 and 21, "the boys" are old enough to be careful -- however, when a large shell goes off wrong, *without* going UP much at all first, it gets real interesting. Nobody burnt/no cars or homes damaged, but it was *close* since it exploded in like 3 directions!

    :Ahh:

I'm trying hard to keep from missing Clay by obsessing on "True Blood," which ain't easy to do since we don't have HBO haha. I picked up the first book, "Dead Until Dark," and was addicted instantly. Read all 8 that Ms. Harris has out so far and then bought the DVD set of HBO's first season of TB. Ohh wowwEEEE yummm. Yes, they have hawt vampires, but I keep thinking they just *NEED* Clay on that show. As pale as he is, it wouldn't be hard for the makeup artist to make him look vampirish. Just the idea of Clay portraying a vampire lover aiming his fangs at that femoral artery on some lucky woman ... :sleezy:

If anybody should know if there is a genuine link to download the season 2 of TB, pleeeez PM me coz I'm jones'ing ... If I can't have Clay, I at least need Sookie and Bill -- or Sookie and Eric the hawt Viking vampire. :needclay:

OH yeah, and :hb2: to muskifest! Long time no see.

  11. The first time I had the opportunity to see Clay (other than AI2 tour) was at JNaT - Merrillville 2006 (can I pick them or WHAT!?!). He just walked on the stage and I was mesmerized (we won't go into graphic detail). He sang and I was mesmerized. He opened his mouth and started talking and I was in love all over again. Funny, charming, handsome and a voice like no other. I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED A TOUR!!!

You sure can pick them, I was at that concert too! He so funny that night, looked amazing..I do miss the long hair and when he hit the note in All Is Well...that was a moment I will never forget. I remember sitting there and the whole audience willing him to make that note...you could have heard a pin drop and when he did...the whole place erupted! I still get chills when I watch it.

Interesting Clay story from that night...while we were waiting in line to get it, we started talking to a couple in front of us. Turns out they were on their way back home from a day out, were driving by and saw Clay's name on the marquee and decided to stop and see if they could get tickets. They were embarrassed because they weren't really dressed for a concert (we all thought they looked fine!) Anyway, we (and when I say we, I mean myself and the group I was with) talked Clay up and told them how good he was. When we caught up with them after the show, the wife was crying and the husband was visibly moved...they couldn't say enough about Clay and the show.

Haven't kept in contact with them, but I hope they are still fans and I really hope Clay comes back to Merrillville at some point...that has become my favorite place to go for a Clay concert!

OMG, yes, Merrillville 2006, what PERFECTION that night was. Magical any way you can define it. I'm from Arkansas, near Memphis, and a Claybud in Missouri and I drove up together despite *dire* warnings from other fans and family about the snow and ice. We had no trouble and were so happy we defied "good sense." One of my all time best memories of Clay at Christmas. He put on such a show, sang all that time, and then did AIW -- for his ENCORE. I was amazed when Jane whispered "This is the song that he missed the last high note on last night" -- you could indeed have heard a pin drop as everyone willed him to make it, and then just pandemonium.

The story of the "casual couple" coming out so moved is so very touching and not at all rare, I'm sure. Clay is a *discovery* no matter how or when you discover him.

  12. I've seen many many many people in concert - everyone from The Ramones to Barry Manilow (I actually saw The Brady Bunch in concert *insert blushing emoticon here*)

What Clay has that no other performer I have ever seen has is his rapport with the audience. I have never seen anyone interact the way that Clay does. He pays extremely close attention to the audience members and makes them part of the show. He's not just someone standing on stage, singing his songs and then getting the hell out.

He puts on an amazing show every night - not by using fancy flash pots, or lights, or half naked background dancers - but with his mind, his wit, his heart and that amazing voice.

Just my two cents (do I need to put IMHO and YMMV here???)

    ETA: YAY!!! 20 POSTS!!!!

Oh shoot, I lied -- no way can I hit the bed without saying AMEN and WORD on that. :naughtywag:

From the very first time I saw Clay in concert, I've always thought, "He's having SUCH a great time up there! and I am too!" He really does a great give and take with the audience -- sheesh, it's almost like genuinely making love, if I may be so bold? He makes the EFFORT to greet the audience, to entertain with all his talents. The only other performers I've seen who came close to Clay in that were John Denver and Harry Chapin.

  13. sneaking in one tiny little blend (which is embarrassing because I know there's REAL graphic artists here and I'm more a slap it on the page kind of gal) but I just gotta put this out there because they look soooooooo so so so much alike

    th_theguys3.jpg

Lovely job, Sue! You did a great match-up of their expressions. Clicking to see it larger in your photobucket was a treat. :14:

Got put on the spot tonight over Clay *again* -- daughter was telling how her hubby bought Round-Up to kill weeds in their lawn, and she warned him "Only a few spots" it would not be, once he got started. Sure enough, now their lawn has all these pale yellow spots. So I said, "I can understand that; it's like saving pix of Clay to my computer." Daughter rolled her eyes and said, "I knew it would only be a matter of time before you'd mention him." :boredsmiley:

And I thought I was doing SO well, too, barely mentioned Clay at all the last few times I saw them and the grandkiddies. Oh well, may as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb -- I'll wear my CLAY SHIRT to the zoo with 'em tomorrow!!

    :tongue57:

    :offtobed:

  14. Hi y'all, I had to run some errands but I'm back. I need to ask, is anybody going to get her panties in a wad if I use an avvy that has Parker in it? coz I did over at OFC and even tho' the baby's head was turned so you couldn't see his face, they all but strung me up. OYY!!

  15. Hi hello Gang! Nice to be here. Treenuts said I should join, so I did.

:loveclaysbutt: Y'all have some CUTE emoties.

I've been following Clay around since the beginning, almost, altho' I never watched the show at all until after the Wild Card competition when Clay joined the finalists. Just hearing about his background on the intro clip that AI showed about him, I loved him before I ever heard those terrific pipes. I've previously been active at the old Claymate Mansion, RedHotTopic, sometimes at ClayVersity, and have been a lurking member at Clayboard and Clackhouse.

Now, gotta get an avvy, set up my sig, do my little "nesting" chores, etc.
