  1. I asked some friends to get me a shirt when they went to Snoqualmie and I'm glad they did! Not cheaper but I was able to get my size. If I had waited for the markdown on the leftovers I would have been out of luck.

And the tote bag is pretty nice, if a little on the small side. Mom and I paid full price but for me it was worth it...

  2. Love Modern Family!! Can't wait for it to return. :D A couple of my other new favorites from last year are returning too, Glee and Parenthood. New shows I'm interested in are My Generation and Detroit187.... especially the latter to see how they portray us. And one other old returning favorite...Hell's Kitchen. (I kinda got a thing for Gordon Ramsay... *cough*)

On Wednesday, September 8 at 8:30 P.M., American Idol’s Clay Aiken will be live in the HoustonPBS studios for the debut of Clay Aiken: Tried & True-Live featuring special guests Linda Eder and Ruben Studdard. Taped in his hometown, Raleigh, North Carolina, Aiken brings his powerful vocals to new arrangements of some of the most iconic songs ever written.

Eeeeeeeeee!!!! :D I can't wait to see it again myself...after the GIANT flub up Detroit made earlier this month I sincerely hope when they re-air in November that it's in a prime time slot! And I'll only pledge if they have concert tickets... can you tell I'm still angry with them?

Cute Reed video bottlecap! Thanks for sharing. :)

  4. I first voted via text, then signed up right on Pepsi's Refresh site for my online vote. It didn't ask for a phone number. I'm also reading that a lot of other people are having the problem where they'd sign up and vote at FB, then try to text a vote and it says it doesn't count. On Pepsi's site, it didn't ask for a phone number thankfully. I should be able to vote twice daily, once from my phone and once from my computer. I guess I'll find out tomorrow!

    :hello:liney23! Thanks for the welcome!

  5. Aww I love Sterling Heights! Lots and lots to do there, know the area well. :) Also, it holds some pretty amazing memories.

I can't help but share some from Snoqualmie too since I'm having a love affair....that has to be by far my favorite venue that I've seen pictures from. The background and the lighting from the sun was just beautiful!!

And have to add the photo that's my avvie, as well my phone's background. *g* Might be compelled to post more as I get through them too!

  6. I wish I could find people to Clayvert. All my friends are tired of all my references (awww). Though a few weeks ago I think I had one too many and I kinda spilled a TON of beans to a guy my age and tried to explain Clay and why more young guys should see or hear him. I think he'd do great with that demographic if he did a comedy act like what was in Timeless.

  7. Thank you jmh123. In fact we moved about a month after she passed away and Mom (and I in fact) wish that we could have stayed at the house until we were comfortable leaving. But it is what it is, and we're where we are now. My next big step is to find a job so I can save some money and go to college. :)

  8. I came across this thread last night while looking around and I wish I had been on this board a lot earlier. I took care of my Grandma for about 10 years, the last 4 or 5 having been the worst. She had Parkinson's, diabetes, a bad heart, low blood pressure, depression, etc. She was very quick minded though, even if her body was failing her. She was also very demanding and put a lot of stress on me and my mom. She passed away this last July from heart failure and I'm just now beginning to start my life. I know what those of you here are going through in dealing with your parents and loved ones. It definitely takes a support group to get through these kinds of things and I'll be around to be a part of it.

  9. *waves* Hello FCA!

I came around just looking for pictures last night but you all seem like such a nice group I decided to join! :) I recognize a lot of names even though I don't know how many of you recognize mine. I mostly post on the OFC but I'm an occasional poster at CB and CV (all the same screename). I've been trying to maybe find another kind of home but haven't found my niche yet. The only way to find out is to jump in, right?

So some basic info... I'm 22, from Michigan (the Detroit area, specifically) and my name actually isn't Jill. I do go by Shorty though! *g*

My Clay story isn't that interesting. January 2004, an old friend, a LOT of badgering and a song later ("Invisible", awww) I was hooked and have been ever since. I LOVE being on this crazy ride and I hope he doesn't make us get off anytime soon!! I've only been to 9 concerts and Spamalot but they've all been highlights in my life.

I should go find out how to put up an avvie, eh? :)
