I like Bruno Mars, although he doesn't have the greatest voice in the world. His is a good name for Clay to drop, since he's a pretty hot song writer right now. :09: I'm picturing this tour as having kind of a jazz-club vibe, with a funky little combo backing up a cool vocalist. I had never heard of Versus, so I had to google it. It’s a cable sports channel. Apparently the NHL All Star game isn’t important enough to rate being shown on a network channel. Bummer…

I only watched a few minutes of AI last night to see if there was any Clay content in the pre-show recap and then I turned it off. It’s my intention not to watch it again, even if Clay does sort of endorse one of the contestants. I’m happy to see that Clay has a good AI talking point, though, and a means to get the news of his tour out to the AI crowd.

In case Parker Foster Aiken's musical genes kick in and he becomes the Justin Bieber of his generation (Only, like, with actual talent. And maybe better hair, if the Foster genes are dominant), I'm trying to make sure my almost-three-year-old niecelette has the skillz to take Clack. Or Pack or whatnot. Based on today's result, she's going to need all those years to work on her aim.

I’m more than willing to buy concert tickets and CDs for myself. I just don’t think it’s my job to sell them to other people. It makes me frustrated when Clay seems, in my opinion, to be asking fans to do that. It especially bothers me when it’s hard to see what Clay is doing HIMSELF to sell tickets. He should be the Salesman in Chief and that’s the bottom line for me. Obviously, YMMV and all that usual jazz.
