  1. Just to catch up:

Loved the moustache bit on DWTS last night.

Didn't care who won because they were all great.

Agree that Jordin "wiped the floor" with Blake last night.

Tried incessantly to vote for Clay for the Season 2 Finals and never got through .... and no one I knew at the time (about a half-dozen of us here in town) were able to get anything other than the fast busy "circuits overloaded" signal on the Clay line. And because of the high-fiving at the judge's table when results were read, I was sickened by the whole thing and have never voted for anyone on any reality show since and probably never ever will.

Believe that Clay's hair is so important to people because it changes his appearance dramatically -- changes his age -- changes him from innocence to royal hotness -- changes him from goober to gorgeous -- and back again. I love the darker hair with long bangs because when he peaks out from underneath those bangs and bats those sexy eyes with long, darkened eyelashes ... as he came out and stood behind Sandecki last year ... I almost thud to death.

And ... for anyone who missed Kimmel last night ... and the bit he did about Paula's broken nose ...

    PAULA'S BROKEN NOSE

  2. Canadian Tire Money. EH?!?!?!? (Canadian, of course, for "HUH?")

keepingfaith -- EEEEEEEEE! A musician in our midst! I LOVE YOUR LIST! I actually knew most of those terms (that's what being an amateur musician for many years, with many years of lessons, will do for you). Very clever of you to combine the Word of the Day with Scoring on the Tour. I'd send that list to Clay (or maybe Jaime) if I were you!

    *g*

Actually, that was from the JnaT (Detroit??) when someone called out 'does it [scortadura] mean your scoring on the tour' and Clay said something like, 'unfortunately, no' ... so maybe we can use it for "Doing Clay Aiken" this summer.

I think it would be fun to have shirts made up regarding the "I did Clay Aiken" theme. Maybe give a couple of the best ones to Clay.

  3. And now some Variations on the Theme ......

Scortadura = We’re Scoring On The Tour

I did Clay on the Symphony Tour and he was Molto Passionato (very passionate)

I did Clay on the Symphony Tour and he was Magnifico (magnificent)

I did Clay on the Symphony Tour and he was Virtuoso (performed with exceptional artistry)

I did Clay on the Symphony Tour and he was Vivacissimo (very lively)

I did Clay on the Symphony Tour and he was Strepitoso (loud and noisy)

I did Clay on the Symphony Tour and it was Sostenudo (sustained and lengthened)

I did Clay on the Symphony Tour and it was Rallentando (slow and deliberate)

I did Clay on the Symphony Tour and it was Marcatissimo (very accentuated)

and last but not least ....

I did Clay on the Symphony Tour for the Bisbigliando! (soft tremolo performed by lightly and rapidly moving fingers back and forth across the strings)

And now ... back to the job.

  4. I did Clay in Newark and he mugged a lot.

Not nice to say about a sister city.

I did Clay in Newark and he hit the center of my state?

I did Clay in Newark and he tingled my NJayjay?

I did Clay in Newark and he really performed (he will be at the performing arts center you know!)

I did Clay in North Carolina and he was really smoking?

I definitely like the "and he really performed" one. And it could work anywhere.

  5. Okay, muski, help a poor backward girl out .... what is EAYOR? .... and what is CMSU? .... and there are others that go past me that I can't even think of right now. I'm near braindead at the moment, but Clay is bringing me around.

I'm not Muski, but I can tell you what the acronyms mean. EAYOR is a part of Red Hot Topic, and stands for Enter at Your Own Risk. There's steamy fanfic there, including Muski's smutty tales.

CMSU means 'crack my shit up.'

Thanks, Gibby! Makes perfect sense now.

  6. OMG! Look at this gif I saw at EAYOR!

    smartass.gif

    Bwah! That CMSU!

Okay, muski, help a poor backward girl out .... what is EAYOR? .... and what is CMSU? .... and there are others that go past me that I can't even think of right now. I'm near braindead at the moment, but Clay is bringing me around.

Sex On The Beach ... sounds great right about now. A drink would be nice, too!

Joe's Stone Crab in Miami Beach sure brings back memories for me. But as I remember it's only open during stone crab season, which is something like October through April as I recall. But enough Sex On The Beach and you don't need stone crab. Or enough Hot Nuts. Ever had a shot of Hot Nuts????

  7. The 3 album gossip came from Taylor - he has a 3 album contract - and since it fit with the poddy wish they adopted it, without thinking that J records and 19 do not seem to be real fond on Taylor. The 7 year contract came from the mouth of Cowell in 2003.

Which do you think I believe?

I just googled and got my info from the Recording Artists Coalition. And it very well could be dated information. Me? I know nothing.

    http://www.recordingartistscoalition.com/i...ngcontracts.php

  8. What I don't understand are the assumptions that Clay has a 3-album contract and that he's in a position to leave RCA. I've been reading that a 7-album deal has long been standard in the industry, but that California a few years ago passed a law limiting recording contracts to a 7-year maximum. The 7-album contract usually extended from 10-15 years and was considered an unfair labor practice. I'm assuming that since Clay signed with RCA and 19 in California, that they signed him for 7 years. They don't have to release records, but they can make sure the artist doesn't record elsewhere.

  9. Reading that this subject was in full turdblossom at the CH I went over there. CH is not one of the sites I usually check out unless there's a reference to something there, such as today. Holy Crap, there are a couple of serious babywhippers over there, just whipping the baby to hear him cry. That's just crazy. And, of course, they are self-described experts, probably geniuses, I don't know ... but they don't know jackshit about doing the best thing for Clay Aiken.

I read enough Roger hate to make me sympathetic to him ... and I know nothing about him -- other than Quiana has a picture with him on her MySpace and calls him "Fabulous". Maybe if someone did hear Roger say something about Clay "going down" the actual words he said could have easily related to the expectation that his sales numbers would be "going down" and that bit of knowledge wouldn't take a mind reader because that was and is happening to every artist in the business.

I can tell you this ... I'm up and excited and positive and tickled about seeing Clay this summer in concert. I'm in heaven. Why anyone wants to muddy up the fandom with this bullshit again, within weeks of his summer tour, makes me go hmmmmmmm.

  10. When I came on the boards last year and read the RCA/Clive/Roger hate frenzy, my first thought was .... these people are idiots. They don't realize that they are disease carriers. That was my immediate reaction, and it has only intensified with time. I love to debate, but not with sick minds or sycophants ... so I'm HERE where I see evidence of neither. I have no idea if the poddies are haters in thin disguise, paranoic prima donnas (to quote John Lennon), or just a bunch of circle jerkers, but I've decided it doesn't matter because the bottom line is the same ... this crap hurts Clay Aiken.

Yeah, I've read the stuff about how some of these people are learned professionals -- lawyers, doctors, rocket scientists, and business and media experts ... but accepting that as a given does not preclude that they are still morons regarding how to effectively and positively support Clay Aiken.

    :fca:

  11. I know how my mother must of felt when she got all her birthday presents wrapped in Christmas paper and one gift covered both holidays. Her birthday was the day after Christmas.
My dad's birthday is December 26th. Poor baby, he said when he was a kid he always got one present for Christmas and birthday and always ate Christmas dinner leftovers for his birthday. We try to make a big deal out of it now with real birthday presents and dinner at fancy restaurants -- and no turkey!
