I will bring over reports during the cellstream but I won't be able to wait up for hours after the event is over to bring over other recaps. I will need to get to bed shortly after its over because I have to get up early tomorrow. My sister and I are cooking Mom a feast for Mother's Day! We are doing a main meal lunch at around 1pm. Here is our menu:
Roasted Pork Loin
Crispy Red Potatoes with Parmesan and Herbs
Corn on the Cob
Grilled Asparagus
Homemade Blackberry Cobbler
We are also giving her a Starbucks Gift card because my mom LOVES her Starbucks and would rather have that over flowers, candy, or pretty much anything else. LOL
YUMMMM!! Can I come over, too??
And a Starbucks card is a wonderful idea for a gift.
My hubby is taking me to an undisclosed restaurant for dinner tomorrow. Somewhere 'ethnic' and 'exotic.' Should be interesting!

I am absolutely drooling over those pics of Clay! My, but he is looking fiiiiiine!!!!
And Parker is the cutest baby evah. I love the little toes, the pinchable cheeks, the sober looks, the big eyes . . . I could keep going on and on for a long time about that adorable baby!!!
-
BWAH, Bottle! It was great fun to see Clay's card at the end. Thanks for battling with your scanner to share the cards!
Happy Birthday, Preden!

I bet it would stop everyone from eating at lunch!
Maybe at most workplaces, but not at a hospital. We regularly talk about surgery details and sick body parts over lunch without blanching. Heh.
In one of the video clips of Mylene, it looked as though the dancers were wearing loincloths. Praying for clearer uh....Rack.BWAH, Wanda!

ldyj, my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.

I guess the ER was missing us so we went for a little visit tonight... 5 hours...I know the drill pretty well. It was really a precautionary thing because my mom's hand went numb and then it traveled to her face. All the tests were ok and we left with a lecture that she should eat on time - the only abnormality was her blood sugar had gotten too low. Oh yeah I just loved being in an emergency room with all those sick coughing people.
Gibby....Wish you were coming. I could visit the hockey jersey
I'm thinking about taking mom. She loves to gamble.
Whew, I'm really glad your Mom didn't have another stroke, Couchie! Low blood sugar can easily be fixed.
I'll have to bring that hockey jersey with me sometime to a Clay event for you to feel up! Not when it's on me, of course.
I agree, djs - t is really fun to see all of the travel arrangements! I wish I was going to Vegas, too. My older daughter will be graduating from high school right around that time, so it's going to be a busy time. Somehow I don't think she'd appreciate me running off to Vegas to see Clay!
-
LOL LdyJ..that cracked me up too.
Lotus I just got the $81 ticket. I feel happy to just be going. And honestly, I don't care about anyone on that list but Clay. Hopeully some other folks I'm intersted in will attend. Used to love Phillip bailey but he didn't sound so great the last time I saw him. Still I think EWF was my first concert and Reasons is one of my favorite songs of all times.
Mandalay Bay is expensive for rooms but the Luxor is nearby and it is $150 per night. That is where artquest and I are staying.
We stayed at the Luxor over spring break. It was great fun! We were able to get a lower price by booking through expedia. It was really nice to be able to have a room for hubby and I, and a separate room for our teenaged daughters!
Couchie, I'm thrilled that you got a ticket! Woooohooooo!!

where do I donate my money to send Scarlett to this?
I'll donate, too. So, Ms. Scarlett, dahling, put it down in your datebook. You're going.
-
Ldyj and Luckiest, thanks for the Broadway kids reports! I actually really like the sweater, but I'm really partial to black and white. He looks really happy in the pictures.
-
Thanks for the review, Bottle! It sounds like a really fun show.
Hey, did you see the tongue pic in the post right above your review? Somehow I thought of you when I saw that pic.

Wooohooooo!!! I haven't been on the boards for several days - waaaaay too much going on. Decided to check on the last page of FCA tonight before bed, and wow, was that great timing, or what!!
Hooray for the download!! Off to donate to the BAF!
ETA: I had to go listen to the concert version of Just You to compare. Both versions are in the same key. The tempo of the recorded version is a bit slower, and it works better for the melisma that Clay puts into it. The live version sounds rushed after listening to the recorded version. A few of the chords and backing harmonies are a little different. But the passion, heart, and excellent vocals are there in both versions!
KAndre - YES!! I agree - we need Tears Run Dry!
-
Enough about Susan Boyle! Here's one of the acts from Swedens Got Talent.
BWAH!!!! Thanks so much for the link. Hilarious!! Dare I say that those guys really have balls?

Hi Gibby! Haven't seen you around much lately.
Hi, Anna! :thbighug-1:
You're right; I haven't been around a lot. This is my busy, busy time of year - so many groups to play for right now! But I did take out time last week for a great vacation over spring break. We took a cruise to the Mexican Riviera, and it was great fun! But now it's back to my rather ridiculous schedule. Fortunately everything will lighten up in about two weeks, and then I'll have more time to waste on the internet!
-
Heh - I can't decide whether I like the pics of the puppies or of Clay better. All of the puppies are darling!
But I didn't add them to my PB like I added Clay, and more Clay, and more Clay! My, but he's looking hawt!
-
Another one from mee2u2 -- PLEASE DON'T POST AT THE OFC!
*whimper*
I just got back from a fantastic vacation (in celebration of my birthday), and was NOT prepared to be slayed by Clay again! WHEW!!!!
-
Awwwwwww, thanks so much for all of the great birthday greetings!! It was so nice to come here after my happy, busy day to see that ya'll were thinking of me. *warm fuzzies* It sounds like everybody thinks that 50 is a piece of cake. I'll have to admit that it's rather shocking to think of myself as 50, because I feel much younger! So it's good to hear that 50 is just a number, and that the best is yet to come! :-)
ldyj, I love this quote:
In honor of Gibby's birthday, my favorite movie quote:It's not the years honey...it's the mileage.Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark
There are a couple of messages that I'm going to quote, because they're just toooo delectable to only see once! With *HUGS* and thanks to muski and annabear! It's a good thing that I'm not having hot flashes any more, because these hawt pics would put me waaaay over the edge with heat!
Oh, yes! It's one of my favorite people's birthday! Woot! I can put colorful emoties and whatnot all over my post (observe, dear canfly...)To GIBBY! My NYC double date for Sir Robin! My 'Quick! can you talk now?' phone buddy. My "OMG, what do YOU think about the latest "NEWS"?" idea-bouncer-offer! My gorgeous buddy-that-made-me-OOOO-envious-when-I-first -saw-her-because she's-hot-and-blonde Clay friend!
HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY, BABE! You've never looked better!
And because I KNOW what she wants...
And so, Gibby dear....from Clay and me to you!
Gibby!! -
Hello, my sweet Couchie! *SMOOOOCH* Good luck on your job hunt!
-
Hmmmmmm, with all of this talk about us wimmim sleeping with one another, it may be that this board is turning out to be gay centric, after all.
JUST KIDDING!!!!!! I keed, I keed!!!
-
YUMMMM!! I just saw the new pics. My, but isn't our BF looking handsome!
And merrieeee and muski - IKWYM, too! Heee.
-
I see we have a few newbies. Welcome to both of you! Please, by all means, make yourself at home!
Oh, Couchie, my dahlin, you'll be in San Diego on the 28th? I'll just miss you! My family and I will be going on a short cruise over Spring Break, and it leaves from San Diego. We have to leave to go back to Colorado on the 26th, though, so I won't get to see you. Sniff!
I have a rather major birthday coming up in about a week, and I'm doing my best not to have a midlife crisis. Heh. I guess it's good that I'm sooooo very busy right now - I just finished with the musical, and now have two concerts and two recitals to play for in the next week. It's keeping my mind off of the fact that I'll be half of a century old. How did that happen? I still feel so young; it doesn't seem possible!
Anyway, hubby asked what I wanted for my birthday, and I told him I wanted a cruise. We are all looking forward to it!
GDG and Luckiest - thanks so very much for the Gala clips! I'll be uploading the mp4s to my phone shortly. I'm so glad to have new clack!
Clayzy - Just remember - someday your princess will come! :-)

What?? A new thread, and no one has posted pictures? Time to decorate! Here are some mosaics, for something a little different:
-
Happy Birthday, Tribeca!!
-
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I preordered the CD, too. Wonder what will be on it??
Anyway, at the end of the dream, an announcement was made, "Clay Aiken announces the release of his next CD entitled 'Everything but Mongolian Polkas' on June 15, 2009."Oh, now I know! Everything but Mongolian Polkas! :cryingwlaughter:
#51: You go on with your bad self, Mr. Aiken
