  1. A while back I was discussing LTS with some people and I posted something and got a PM right away asking what e-mail group I belionged to - ?? I wrote back and asked what the heck she was talking about, she said that she belonged to one where they would get an e-mail if someone posted an opposing view and they would all be expectexd to respond how that person was wrong - I told her that my opinion was my opinion and that is all there was to that. She did not reply, but it opened my eyes to the backwater channels that fueled pile ups. WHo knew? it is just interesting that the person who accused me of doing something she was doing. hence my open eyed realization that some pile ons do not happen by accident.
The things I continue to learn about this fandom boggle the mind. I had not heard this before. I didn't know about all the back channel PMs at the time of ATDW either. The unrest was obvious and people were really touchy about conspiracy theories and all that but I did not have a clue.

This is new to me too....wow..the things you learn lol......

  2. Thanks everyone for the hugs and kind words.....I see some of you have had losses too, :hugs-1: to all of you!!

zena same row? well Hi to you, a bit late! first night we were 5th row dead center....incredible seats! second night 4th row just to the right of where we were the night before...

AIW-my mom did not go to church, did not believe you had to to have faith or believe anything. Told us before she wanted no songs like The Old Rugged Cross ...thank you for that mom!! so when I was picked to pick the songs, it was easy!!! This song, I listened to on my way to my checkup last January and again in July....I have my 5 year check up in 8 days......I will play it then, I know it will make me cry, but it helps to comfort me on my way to these checkups that scare me so!!

  3. Thanks...it was a rough end of the year. A few short weeks ago we had to put our cat to sleep too. He got very sick very fast and only 10 years old. My poor daughter...she had him since she was 5 and he slept with her every night. she has been really missing him, then she loses her grandma.....at the visitation she just sat down on the couch and sobbed.....we have had a lot of hugs....and tears.....

  4. rocknrlmom I'm so very sorry. I lost my mother before Thanksgiving, so I know just what you mean about feeling a dissconnect. The world just seems out of place. I think AIW was a lovely choice.

Cotton and luckiest and others in NYC in mid-March If we're all going to be there on the 12th, maybe we could get together for dinner. My friend CarolJean and I are staying at the Pennsyvlania Hotel by Penn Station.

    Isn't this exciting?

Suppose I can win the lottery by then????

  5. Happy New Year to you FCA! I hope you all have a great and glorious year. I pray for an abundance of all things Clay this year! I doubt I will make it to Spamalot as much as a want to. But I never say never....we shall see....I dont feel I am going though....

Some of you who are on CV know that I lost my mom last Thursday. I spent the last 24 hours of her life in the hospital watching her struggle and was there to see her take her last breath. Its been more difficult than I could ever imagine and feel a strange disconnect with the world right now. I was somehow in charge of the music for the funeral, so I picked All is Well for the last song......there was no question about it. It affected many people and the pastor was so impressed by the message of this song she read the words to us first. I will always always think of my mom when I hear that song!

  6. Ok, I get it now!!!!!!! I read a post by you a little while ago over and thought something along the line of "so many mom's"!!! It's all good!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

    Thanks!

So I'm taking all my alter egos (I should have a cool one like Wonder Woman or something but nooooo, not me... doh) and heading to the sack... I'm up early for the Susan G. Komen walk tomorrow... it's going to be extra special as my sister's sister-in-law (who babysat my son when he was younger while I was working) is in the last stages of her treatment (she's a survivor!) and she's walking with us... Night all!

Have a good time on your walk....hugs to your sister's sil...it is very very special to be able to walk as a survivor!!!

I'm wandacleo everywhere because I'm too damn lazy and too absent-minded to come up with anything more original.

hey I hear ya.....rcknrllmom just everywhere.....i figured to always use the same name in order to avoid confusing myself!

  7. Hiya!!!

I'm home!! :) Took mom clothes shopping - she looks so awesome in her new duds!! If I look like her when I'm 87, I will be a happy camper! :cryingwlaughter:

Meetings in California??? I was with AAIT and xxx and tonibabe. Let's see if I can remember who I met? Scarlett and Mr. Scarlett, Bookwhore, JaMar, gareem and lovethatguy - okay, that's it! I also met someone else who I think has a different name here but the same avi :cryingwlaughter: but I can't remember their screenname here! Anyone else???

I'm really hoping to meet lots of you this November, either in Vegas or Chicagoland! HOPE!!!!

I'm really ready for a blog!

    :XmasRed:

uh hummmmm thanks...I knew I was forgetable!

  8. Bringing this over from CH.

Rainlover posted this link in the condolence thread at the CB. It's a step back in time to May 1, 2003

Clay's talent has always been a source of comfort for the family, said McGhee. When his grandfather passed away, they asked him to sing at the funeral. As long as he could stand behind a screen so he didn't have to see his family's emotional reactions he could do it, he told her. So he sang Sheltered in the Arms "and he did such a good job," McGhee said. "And when he finished ... he just hugged my neck and lost it."

    I love him. Period.

    Me too.....

geesh here come those darn tears yet again....I thougtht I was out of them by now......(been a hard week...)

That DVD might actually be true. I've been pondering ruminating since seeing it. There's been no mention, no promo, no ads, no publicity at all to speak of.

    It's a fact, Jack! :cryingwlaughter:

lol by george I think you've got it....

  10. ...awwww....one year already?

keepingfaith, that's a very cool picture. I don't remember seeing it before.

(btw, I've found being on top can be fun. You just need to be limber)

I would do him in a buggy

I would do him soft and huggy

I would do him on the floor

I would do him at the door

In a buggy at the door,

Nice and huggy on the floor

I would do him here or there

    I would do him anywhere

(what can I say?...It's the pre-school teachers in me)

:cryingwlaughter: thanks for giving me a much much needed laugh...been a sucky week ....I appreciate it much!!!!!!
