  1. Yeah, we're all about healthy eating and shi.. stuff like that... :allgood:
Hmmmmmmmm, well, if healthy is wanted, wonder how this cherry recipe would be w/ sugar-free jello and no sugar added cherries? I think it's worth a try!
Well, that whole healthy thing was actually about having cherry jello stuff for breakfast instead of like real breakfast food... so now I get to out myself and admit that I did use sugar free jello and lite cherry pie filling... IT'S ALL I HAD, PEOPLE and when I get the urge to make something, I gotta do it right away!!!! I'm the queen of instant gratification!

Heehee!! Please let us know how the lite version turned out!! I was impressed you went in the kitchen to whip out a jello dish at 10:00 o'clock at night (maybe earlier or later, depending on your time zone!)

Hey, I think it's great that fruit would be part of breakfast!! And dairy too, if the whipped cream is there! (It honestly didn't seem strange to me at all that the jello would be for, or part of, breakfast!! Live life to the fullest, and all that!) :RedGuy:

  2. It may sound gross, but you can also flavor up a serving of plain ol' cottage cheese by just sprinkling in a little dry jello powder, regular or sugar-free, stir and eat. Sure makes the shi...stuff go down easier. Dry pudding mix sprinkled into plain yogurt is purdy tastee too! I have five packages of Jello SF gelatin and pudding mixes open in my pantry at this very moment (and cottage cheese and plain yogurt in the 'fridge!) :RedGuy::allgood:

  3. Anyone up for a little 'triple threat'?

I LURVESSSSSSSS those jeans (and who's/what's wearin' 'em!)

Thank you for the recipe, Bookwhore! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  4. Do I have to give up my Texas citizenship (I'm native)? I don't put salt on my watermelon, cantelope, apples (don't really like apples all that much anyway) or my tomatoes (usually). And I'm not all that crazy about barbeque or chicken fried steak! I do love me some grits, but rarely have them, but don't make them sweet. Not a pancake or doughnut fan (never had a Krispy Kreme). Cornbread and biscuits are my favorite bread. That cornbread mentioned above that starts w/ a stick of melted butter in the cast iron skillet - YUMMO!!! And I prefer boiled okra to fried okra, unless it's pan-fried and all kind of flat and really crispy with a little bit of dark (burned) edges in the mix! Occasional brussels sprouts are fine and I love me some cabbage! In soup, by itself, doesn't matter. Love cooked cabbage! Liver - no way no how ickyyuckypoo. And chocolate is its own food group, agree, darker is betterest but these milk chocolate and caramel chocolate chips I have to my left right now are nothing to sneeze at! Chocolate and cherry is always a good combo!

  5. I felt I started seeing it before the JNT05, the nasty criticism of that show before it was ever seen really made me hurt for Clay

I recall some nastiness prior to the JBT itself. There was just no way no how that tour could work. Many wouldn't go. Then it started, it was great, and most people loved it and many call it their favorite tour. So many things over the years have gone angsty in general, but also over the years, sometimes nasty and hurtful get thrown into the mix as well. It's a sad, sad situation.

  6. :cryingwlaughter: I didn't know what you were talking about!! I was waiting for some funny avi - but then I went and discovered I'm a "BODYGUARD!!!!

    :blush: And I promised when I joined here that I wouldn't be a post-ho!! I guess there's no tiger changing stripes!! :cryingwlaughter::cryingwlaughter::cryingwlaughter:

Cool! One last check before bed. And something to reply to. Useless post made. It's already tomorrow, after all! Congrats, canuck! I'll know in a sec if I'm right there with you or not. If so, oh honey, we could get in some trouble with this!!!!!!!!!! Ohhhhhh, that it were so! (Remembering the sighting of a certain tour bus in the San Diego parking lot........)

ETA: YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Dog walkin' in good, but body guardin' is better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Thanks, muski! Get some rest. You had one long day.

I know I probably shouldn't post two posts right together when I could edit this comment into the earlier one, but I wanna see if I'm now a body guard!!!!!!!!!! BRB!!

ETA: Hmmm. Well. Maybe it's after 50, like at 51. Which is soon, actually, in more ways than post count! Guess I'll fnd out tomorrow when I make some other useless post!!

    Good night!! Sweet dreams! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  8. Apologies for the delay. Baby sis and I live together and she got home from her day about 10:30. I mentioned I noticed a musty smell near the loveseat. We dug around and pinpointed that there's some water leak in the laundry room (adjoining walls). So, had to move some carpet rolls in the garage (same adjoining wall) and some other stuff to check it out. Just now back.

At West Palm Beach, it turned out my camera settings were wrong all night long, so exposures were quite off. Had to play around a lot with the images to get them to a usable form. So, lots of artsy-fartsy stuff from WPB, but that's fun too! Album is HERE, but still very much a work in progress. Not much from the second half is in it yet. Hope you enjoy! He's just gorgeous.

  9. I hope he blogs soon so the speculation could stop. Then, if it's a "go" - those who feel like throwing up can do so, Those who will have to walk away rather than idolize someone who would do such a thing can walk, and those who think it's one tour out of nine and one that could be really fun and garner a lot of positive press, can sit back and enjoy the whole thing.

I hope I'm able to get some of the great seat tickets that surely those who would have gotten them but won't attend won't be needing! Clay up close. Yummo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  10. Hi...just wanted to share this with you...I've not caught up here, yet...hope it's not too OT at this point...

    Reunited Tour? ...Some thoughts...

Ever since I read of the possibility of Clay, Ruben and Kim touring together a number of thoughts came to mind...

I recall Clay stating how much he enjoyed the time he spent while on AI, he's stayed in touch with Ruben and Kim, and Ruben is his pick to sing at his funeral, he seems to build (and need) a sense of family with some fellow performers - first Ruben and Kim, then Quiana and Angela...

I think this last year, Clay has become even more determined to perform in ways most comfortable for him...and I'm inferring from his most recent tours that the key factor in that is who accompanies him while he travels around the country...folks with whom he has an established bond...

It seems quite possible that if he taped some reflections for AI2 rewind, that he experienced a measure of nostalgia for his times with these two AI companions...

While for my tastes, I've enjoyed Ruben and Kim's singing...and have downloaded some of their tracks, I'm with the rest of the Clay nation...I'd probably not make a point of spending the money and time to go to one of their concerts, yet I did really enjoy them singing together with Clay a great deal...

I'd go to this concert, should it come to pass...I don't know if I'd travel clear across the country to attend it...but, I'd be willing to purchase a ticket and travel a distance to a venue...it is Clay, after all...

I don't know what impact this would actually have on Clay's career...I tend to most agree with Berkeley over at the CH...that such a tour would be most favorable under the auspices of a charitable event...even better produced by Clay's production company

But, one thing comes to mind with all of the angst I've read in the fandom...we've been down this road before...angst over his touring with Kelly, angst over releasing a Christmas CD in advance of a traditional 'sophomore' release, angst over Clay's performing with symphonies...sequential Christmas tours, angst over his 'Christmas musical,' angst over his touring with covers...Jukebox, angst over a covers CD, angst performing again with symphonies...and ONLY "slow" songs...and gee! ...hasn't he managed to make these concert appearances wonderful experiences by and large??

Clay's path to full star recognition has not been at all linear...not even on AI!...and I don't know that it will ever be...however, his mega talent can't be denied...and ultimately I have faith that it will be OK...actually, I believe it will continue to be ever so satisfying...because this man grows at every juncture...he just brings something more ever time he's delivering his glorious vocals to us...and I for one, am along for the journey...

Great post. And WORD. Just about every one of them. :F_05BL17blowkiss:

If Clay's touring, even if it's with company, I'm gonna be there unless some unforseen major something over which I have NO control keeps me away (and warning to the world, Ill be difficult to be around if this happens, would NOT be purdy). I mean, it's Clay touring!!! That alone feeds my happy in a major way!

And I also meant to say Good Night!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  11. I'm not going to angst because whatever happens. It's all good. Clay never disappoints me. I just miss him and would love to see Clay under any circumstances.

Me either! Whatever he does tour-wise, I'll be there. I've loved them all so far, and can't imagine not loving a tour he does (at least his parts). Sooo DITTO and WORD merryclay's final statement. Just waiting for "o-FISH-ul" word. Until then, I'm in strength conserving mode, you know, for DCA(T).

ETA: Yep, visceral here too, Muski. WOW!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  12. Will y'all be shocked to know that I have no idea who either Kirk Gibson or Drew Pearson are?

Oh mah goodness! I couldn't imagine what poor ol' Drew could have done! He was such a good guy, role model, etc., or those are my memories. Then I watched the youtube - thank you for providing it, JaMar. I'm so sorry that was such a horrible time for you. (It was rather celebrated where I come from!) I was a big Cowboys fan back then. In through the Michael Irwin bad behavior years, they lost me for good.

I will re-up at the fan club as fast as my little fingers and internet connection can get me there!!! Those words are pure magic and flood me with wonderful little endorphines........... HE BLOGGED! (No, not now - don't misread anyone just scrolling!) Magic little words!!! Yes indeedy. And I might get lucky in a presale sometime. And I got lucky with the M&G's. Plus those other things Muski said, like the audio message, pics, etc. I'm already looking forward to giving more of my money to Clay!!

  13. I'll leave some early morning pretties, as toni7babe calls them!! Then I'm goin' to bed!

Trying to make some progress on my WPB photos. Unfortunately, the night was all about having the wrong settings set on the camera, so many images that wind up in the album with be artsied up rather than showing the base photo, lots of sepia and black & white - but some of the results are stunning (more to come). Even though, I'm very pleased with how things are turning out. I got a lot of good shots - good positioning - if the settings had been right, they'd be pretty darn good photos, so I hold hope for the future!

Anyway, here are a few looks at our fella!! He's SOOO gorgeous!

The orignal sizes can be found here: Some WPB images by AAIT (just a few right now)

Looks like the snark is flowing here (at least that's the timing of the actual photo) - I see mischeviousness here!

    190953416-M.jpg

Oh, to have him look at meeee (read that as youuu) like that!

    190953568-M.jpg

Passionate man, lucious lips. 'Nuff said.

    190953778-M.jpg

    Beautiful man, luscious lips. Ditto.

    Sweet dreams!

  14. I've really enjoyed reading what everyone has to say. I have little to offer as I have no profound thoughts regarding Clay and am privy to nothing in Clay's life. However, I do want to say that when I read that people are refusing to buy ATDW or won't be a fan IF Clay....[fill in the blank], I say "Good riddance!" The world is chock full of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlakes. Move on.

Leave me and my unconditional devotion alone.

    You ROCK, wandacleo!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

Am I weird that I still listen to it every single day????? I really do love it.

And I love him! He ALWAYS makes me smile! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

If you are, I am. It's the CD I keep in my car (well, it's the burned one that includes LAA and IYDKMBN) and I back it up to track #14, BW, and listen to it, IYDKMBN (#15) and LAA (#16) and then fast forward to Track #5 for some or most of SSTBTHW on my drive to work. Just starts my day off nicely. If it was hectic at home, this helps return me to center. Kinda like that cup of coffee (that I get after I'm at the office).

Really, this past week at work I went back to listening to my playlist of ATDW after having listened to the SRHP tour sets constantly. It really sounded wonderful to hear again. LOVE to set it on random and let it go.

Ever since the NAT, I've intended to burn using concert audio, the best version of the MOAM songs. Now, after SRHP, I want to do the same with the ATDW songs Clay sang. I love the studio versions, but I also love how the songs evolve in concert. We are SOOOOO lucky. :allgood:

So it's a bit surprising to me to sense a lot of sadness and apprehension nowadays. Apart from the fact that he's not touring right at this moment, Clay is right where I want him to be. I think the climate is ready for a Clay Aiken record.

Scarlett, wow, loved your entire post. I'm in such a sweet anticipation mode. These are the good old days IMO.

Agree and WORD to you both.

  15. All right now, a question to all the veterans out there. When would you say, best guess, regarding the cute, fresh-faced Clay portrayed in this picture ....

    Portland-MG.jpg

.... when did he make a deal at the crossroads, or find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, or by whatever means transform into this guy .....

    HoustonDCAT21.jpg

Preferably, does anyone have a specific date on that? Because I'm thinking about establishing an annual holiday celebration in my home to commemorate it.

Personally, and IMHO, throughout the crap of '06 (and over the course of time for other crap dealt his way), and whenever he took his life back - so, I guess, for me, the public time frame for the viewing of the crossroads deal, pot of goal, or whatever transformation was the GMA/Diane Sawyer interview for ATDW. Probably before that, we just didn't get to see. Maybe the TVGuide article - we saw some glimpses then too. Late 05 through all of 06.

Year long celebrations are good, right??
