Snow has stopped; supposed to be sunny today and in the 30's...woohoo! Heat wave! In-Service and Holiday Party at the Library...actually supposed to be a "work day" to clean up the library, but I have a feeling it is going to be more "partyng" than "work"! My Waukegan ticket is here...almost...my dear friend Iseeme purchased it for me as I could not be on the OFC the day of the sale and will be mailing it out to me...Clay fans are the best! Had our first snow of the season last night with more to come today...looks to be about 1-2 inches out there now. My cat wakes me up every morning..I do not need an alarm clock. I get up at 6:00 and promptly at 5:30 she is sitting up by my head patting me on the face with her paw until I wake up...sometimes if that doesn't work she will lick me and if all else fails..loud meowing. Then she will follow me into bathroom and wait while I get ready for work and then it is on to to the kitchen to get her breakfast. She does not like to be kept waiting...If I don't get the food right away and decide to throw a load of laundry in first she will meow until I get her dish and food out. Then when she has eaten...she goes back to bed. What a life! Kim

Well, not really a good morning for me; I love our animals but right now I could do without the dog...woke me up at 2:00 because his water dish was empty; took him an hour to settle down..he had to chase the cat for a while. 5:00 he wakes me up again to go outside...go back to bed...cat wakes me up at 6:00 because her food dish is empty. Figure sleep is not going to happen so I get up...get her taken care of. Get ready for work, sit down at the computer like I normally do in the morning with my breakfast and the dog comes over and promptly pukes on the floor next to me. Lovely. So much for breakfast. Oh Couchie That reminds me of the Thanksgiving we were helping my Grandma get things on the table...I must have been 11 or 12 and as I was bringing the stuffing into the dining room I dropped in on the floor. My cousins and I grabbed a spoon and scooped it back in the pan and put it back on the table before any of the adults noticed. It was funny during dinner watching them eat it and hoping they didn't notice anything that shouldn't have been in there like dog hairs, LOL! What a great Clay day! I love when Clay blogs but I especially love it when the blogs are combined with issues that he is passionate about. Senator Aiken indeed! I can very much see him moving to Wake County and perhaps getting involved with the school board especially if he still intends for Parker to go to school there. Yay! for Australia; hope the CD and Special do well there and Clay gets a chance to visit! Looking forward to the tours, sounds like it is going to be fun! Kim
