I'd sit in the front row for every damn show if I could.
Honestly who wouldn't?
(Although, I'd probably wear wigs and dark glasses so Clay wouldn't think I was stalking him.)
I wouldn't because I can't afford it and I don't want to be that close....not even for Clay.

Personally, I think people are bitching because they think the "PYT" are taking the attention away from them.
This group of girls are not the only ones in the front at every stage door appearance. There are many others who show up there every.single.time and I don't mean the Ewwwwww Crew. I don't understand why they have to be in the front every time....what about the people who haven't gotten the chance and are never going to get the chance because they aren't going to wrestle someone for the front of the line?
I also think that some of this has to do with people going to several shows...the behavior becomes more and more "obnoxious" because they've been exposed to it several times.

When I was little the Jehovah's Witnesses came to our door saying that because we didn't go to their church we were going to burn in the fires of hell! My Mum said "And I have a chicken burning in the oven" and she slammed the door on them!
Our priest called my dad when I was 16 and said I was sending him to hell because I wasn't going to Catechism...my dad told him he was getting there all on his own.
The priest hung up.

Makes perfect sense to me zena...dancing with an ensemble and not "sticking out like a sore thumb" is quite a tribute to him, I think.
I don't know of many people who would take the giant leap that Clay took to do this part....talk about a sink or swim kind of feeling. Thank God, he learned to swim somewhere along the way!

hee... this is fun... but saying he is a natural at dancing is very far from saying that he is a great dancer. I agree with your point. There are a lot of people that can sing easily...but its not everyday you find someone that is as great as Clay's voice. In the same way there are a lot of people that can dance to the beat and can really move well but that does not make them an MJ and JT. But you can still say that they can dance. I really don't think anyone has said he is a great dancer so that he can be compared to MJ and JT. I do think that a lot of the awkwardness in his movements is because he is not used to dancing and has drilled it into his head that he can't dance...but when he lets himself forget that he can;t dance and is simply in the performance, I find that he can .
To me, there's more to dancing in an ensemble as opposed to dancing individually. I will be interested to see whether he is in sync with the other dancers on the stage...does he turn at the same time, do his arm movements, head movements, feet movements "snap" with the others. IMO, the very best thing about watching people dancing on stage is when they are all in step, turning together, snapping their heads together, etc. For me it shows a real concentration on everyone's part.

In all honesty, what I DO end up saying on this board is something that I believe in.
As do I. So, how do we differ?
I don't play games anywhere I post. I post how I feel...that doesn't set well anywhere most of the time. So, I opt out of many boards and many discussions. It's not worth it to me to get green inked or have explanation after explanation after explanation as to why someone's opinion matters more than mine.
I wouldn't mind it so much if it was the original poster justifying their position...when it's others trying to justify it for them...well, that just tweaks my last nerve.
I've determined that message boards and I are just not compatible...I am too literal, I guess.

Ok, whatever you say.

Practice what I preach. It's just not worth it.

couchie, a few comments in that review just rubbed this cat's fur the wrong way, that's all. Probably oversensitive to perceived patronization.
Exactly...and you said it in less than a 1,000 words! I could take lessons from you!

Nothing to see here...move along.

Unreal. They truly overlooked the Giants. Silly, silly thing to do.

I never dreamed this game would be this close...lord.

Ok, here's something that caught my attention. I read a description of Clay's portrayal of Sir Robin as 'fey' and 'spineless'. Of course that description is being challenged, I think in part because fey sounds too much like gay. I was thinking just yesterday about Clay's interpretation of the role and was reminded a little bit of Johnny Depp's portrayal of Cap'n Jack Sparrow, which in my opinion is best described as 'fey'. Whimsical, otherworldly, enchanted.
I'd be interested in y'alls thoughts. Opinions?
First, that picture of Clay in the orange sweater is absolutely gorgeous.
I think there is a certain amount of feyness to both characters...personally, I thought Cap'n Jack was the fey-er of the two.

Ok, kids, I responded...I didn't take her on directly and it wasn't out of the blue, others are discussing it as we speak.
Sheesh.
Well shoot, I went to read and can't find your post. Do you use another name over there?
I'm at CV, not CH.

*deleted cause it was naughty and not nice*

jj since I know you know what your talking about maybe you should go respond. You've seen the show multiple times and you have the theater background.
Pleeeeeeez????
If not for your own satisfaction, how about the amusement of your friends ?
I would LOVE to post but wouldn't people think it odd since my status over there is lurker at best? God knows I can't stand the green ink.

I thought the screaming squirrel commercial was going to be for Budweiser....too cute.

So, AI is using one of Clay/Bryan Adams' songs for the Hollywood rounds? How interesting.
The expert appears to think over the top behavior during live theater is inappropriate...sort of like NO ONE else was over the top, ya know? Makes me crazy. I've always heard that you "over act" so that those in the back can see you, too.

It seems like I've heard somewhere that the SSB at the Super Bowl is always lip sync-ed. There's too much noise for a singer to work with at something like the big game.
I thought she did great, and looked fantastic!
I think that's true...plus...it helps them not mess up the words.
*sigh* Do you ever feel like the "experts" in this fandom have to find something not quite right with Clay's performances just to prove they are "experts"?
-
That was better than I thought it would be but it sure looked like she was lip syncing.

Sorry, BW, I've become very wary of the craziness of some of the haters. I wouldn't put a thing past any of them.
Jerome might very well be there because he is a familiar face and Clay likes him around...I hope that's all it is, quite frankly.
