  1. What a beautiful smile in that banner up there! I've missed all the latest Clay news. Real life can sucketh mightily, y'all. (waves to merrieeee...mouths 'call me')

Off topic, but does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable used car for my soon-to-be licensed older daughter?

Is there any clack? Has the gala already happened? Seriously, my life is not my own these days, but if Clay sang something somewhere, I'd like to hear it.

    :hysterical:

    Me too. Anything anywhere!

    Gotta love Clay fans!

  2. Great pics bottlecap. I like the little guy's attitude!

:hello:memyb Getting excited about Gala? :)

    :thbighug-1:

Yes I am getting excited about the Gala! Actually, nervous about grabbing a ticket!

Will probably be harder to come by this time, but we will see!

If I do not get a gala ticket, I will go grab a new monitor for sure as if I am stuck home I will need to see Clay clearly. :).

And you are right, draging this prehistoric huge one I have here to the techno dump will be a pain.

You people would laugh out loud if you saw the monitor I am using now.

Of course the darn thing does work so it is hard to justify buying another one! :cryingwlaughter:

    (besides, I am too cheap)

  3. Many positive supportive thoughts for all of you in tackling caregiving and the extra responsibilities and stresses those roles bring with them. You are all so inspiring. I know I will soon have to face some of the same things with my mother but am not sure I can fulfill them as well as you people. God Bless!

(and of course when my time comes to be "cared" for - I will probably be the patient from hell!)

I am tha-RILLED to tell you I joined the 21st century tonight! I have a brand new, installed by me with minimal curse words about getting the cords up/down from the desk, new widescreen LCD monitor. Ah can SEE!! It is bright, big, and I can actually sit ergonomically in my chair, instead of having to hunch over the desk to be able to see! Weeeee-hoo!! This ROCKS!

Good for you! Have been thinking eventually I will have to bite the bullet and invest in one too. Glad you like it.

  4. Hi everyone. Well I can see I have missed a lot today so thought I'd run over here - as I imagine you people were a tad calmer to be around today - so I'll go back and read your posts and catch up.

I just read Clay's blog laughing at how much his opinion matters.

    Yes, he is so influential.

    I just gotta love him.

I was laughing this morning about how he managed to steal all the buzz. :cryingwlaughter:

He must have caused quite a ruckus if he is blogging about it already.

  5. This "new" CD with mystery songs on it makes me kinda :cryingwlaughter: I mean, ever since Clay had his fans at "Take", many have said they'd pay to hear him sing the phone book.

Wouldn't that be a hoot if, when the actual CD is released, the tracks are:

    1. "A-Ch"

    2. "Ci-Em"

    3. "En-G"

    etc.

    :hysterical:

    :hysterical:

too true - and I would still be listening to it. LOL

  6. he has the most amazing smile of anyone Ive ever seen...wow

Doesn't he just!! and when I look at those pics up above I just break out into that great big grin all the way to my heart.

I spent the last little while watching the bus lines on YouTube trying to spot myself and friends :cryingwlaughter: What a hoot! He just whips right by so fast.

Anyway, he smiles and that makes me smile and it just stays there the whole time.

In case anyone is interested. There are lots of them too.

I will probably rewatch the AI-2 vids now that you have brought them back to my attention.

So much Clay. Don'cha wish we could bring him half as much pleasure as he brings us?

  7. We really are on the same wavelength, I just posted that song up thread...it was Terry Jacks

One Tin Soldier (Ballad of Billy Jack) by Coven

(My husband collects 45's and I have a list here on my computer, LOl!)

    Kim

Nope...unless there are two of them (certainly possible)...that one's Dixie Lee Stone. I worked with her and knew her well when she and boyfriend Keith Hampshire recorded it. Her one hit. :)

    <snip>

    This is so freaky!!

I was singing that song on my way to work yesterday!

Yup, it was the Dixie Lee Stone version that I listened to over and over and over way back when.

I imagine there is more than one song with the same name?
