  1. Getty Images pics are up and you can click on them and make them bigger! He's about to bust a button on that vest! I think the boy has been eating one too many hot pockets!

Thank you so much for the link. I like to give them hits when they host his pics.

Exactly right. These are the smiles that KILL me! Every time.

They are rare but seem to burst right out of his heart and soul and his light just draws you into his happiness. I feel like I am getting a glimpse of heaven when he smiles like that!!

FromClaygary! His hair looks great in tonites pics and vids!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  2. An auction for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Starting bid is $500 and auction ends Sept. 20 at 12:00 PM EDT....

ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE...WITH CLAY AIKEN!

Break open those piggy banks! Remember - if you choose to rob a bank, just don't wear a Clay Aiken t-shirt!

Wow, hope the bids go fairly high for this one. I would need to rob a bank to bid.

I laugh about that poor woman who was wearing the Clay shirt in court every time of hear about a bank robbery. not funny really but I can't help it!

  3. I love the Spam ad! Thanks for posting it.

I also love that the Spamalot PTB really seem to trust that Clay can fill those seats!

Broadway sure seems to like the Claymates and has no hesitation in inviting us all back.

I hope he gets tons of publicity too.

I also hope that the crowds and noise and Clay love in Shubert Alley is even more apparent than during his first Sir Robin run.

    I am very excited. :)

  4. Yes, welcome Peyton!

I agree that Daniel Radcliff will be competition for Clay on Broadway, both ticket sales and stagedoor probably, at least for a little while.

I wish him well but hope Clay is still a big attraction. Like way big!!

The Shubert usher and even ticket guy said they had never seen anything like Clay's fans so I am hoping the fans who did not make it before, get to see him now and continue the love.

I know I am an AWFUL, AWFUL person! but broadway is one place where Clay seems to have been accepted as he deserves (in my eyes), so I sure hope he continues to get lots of love and stage door attention, even though it will be bitterly cold.

    I am such a bit*h that way!

    (I know, I will :gen069: myself)

  5. <<snip>>

I would hope that his own fans, many of whom are not spring chickens themselves, would not be age prejudiced either.

This reminded me that earlier I was thinking this relationship may actually stop the media from always mentioning his "middle-aged" or "blue-haired" fan group.

Maybe they will follow Clay's lead (he is such a leader!) and see "people" as "people" and "fans" as "fans". Never knew what age had to do with anything!

(well, not entirely true, I always thought that age deserved a little extra respect when dealing with people on a day to day basis, but that is another topic entirely)

  6. I'm just not seeing ANY doctor planning to do a C-section to correspond with a particular "good luck" time. I sure wouldn't trust a doctor that would do something so irresponsible. I don't think that just being 50 means a woman can't have a vaginal delivery

    eta: I agree.

Even if the delivery were c-section and planned, I doubt they would pick the exact minute and second to birth the child. jmo.

I also see no reason why Jaymes could not have delivered this child naturally. Many, many women deliver naturally at her age. Her Doctor would know what kind of physical shape she is in. Maybe she goes to the gym 3 or 4 times a week and is in excellent shape.

I just don't think she would chance having a c-section unless it were absolutely necessary.

Also, someone who wants a baby as badly as she appears to have wanted one, may really want the experience of a normal, vaginal birth if possible. I would.

Regardless, all appears to be well and I am just thrilled for them. We may never see Clay again! :cryingwlaughter:

eta: thank you thankful4clay for telling me the blog time. Yup, I am betting he was still with baby and has been there all this time. How sweet of him to tell us so quickly.

  7. Nice to see those amazon numbers. Hope the whole world goes out and buys his music while we are all celebrating.

What time did Clay blog this morning? If the baby was born at 8:08 and it was only an hour or two later, he was probably thinking of us right from the hospital room! How sweet is that!!

I bet he hasn't left the room all day.

I am loving this for him - it is just so nice.

  8. I couldn't be more happier for them!

I also tend to think the Jaymes has already "taken the measure of that man!".

I hope they have another child or two very soon so little Parker is not an only child. I would love them to fill up the house with little Aikens. (I can dream)

(I would not be at all surprised to learn they have had a hot, torrid romance going on for quite some time. Or not... )

I am just so happy for them.

  9. FromClaygary - woo! hoo! That's great! Anybody else able to get in for tickets?

I grabbed one too. It says same as FromClaygary's that the order was processing. I hope that means there will be a ticket for me (I don't mind sitting on the floor...)

Still, it was fun trying for a ticket to see Clay again.

Gosh, I can't believe how much I missed that thrill!!

Now it is all in the anticipation. :D

  10. FromClaygary - your bracelets are just beautiful!!

I tend to like funky dangly- type earrings, so that could be a cool thing to make. Or anklets- same as the thinner bracelet, just slightly longer.

Cool idea re the anklets, thanks! ....and yes, I'll have some danglies for sure.

Your bracelets really are awesome!! and I agree that an anklet or even earings would be great auction items.

    WoW. verra verra niiiice!

  11. Perma! Thanks for the info and pic on The Incredible Hulk!

I knew of the "contest", but had never seen the video or the picture!

    Lover All Alone

Not even addressing the lovely, mournful, spare brilliance of the music.

    Just the lyrics.

    ***

    <<snip>>

I don’t think Clay has a clue how brilliant these lyrics are.

How many Lovers All Alone there are out there.

The use of the word “lonesome” instead of “lonely”. So different.

I know David got him started with a gorgeous melody. But the lyrics, the poetry, is indescribably beautiful.

And though, sad, the song is not hopeless.

    How does he do that?

I have always felt the same about this song. I too have wonder if Clay even has a clue or if it was inspired and beyond him. Regardless, it is an amazing song that I think would reach millions if they heard it.

Clay has much to offer this world.

Today we went to the movies. Saw the new "Get Smart". It was very funny. I haven't enjoyed a movie that much in a long time.

  12. <<snip>>

My husband is fairly big Dylan fan -- he's from Minneapolis, so I think it's against the law for him to not be a fan. Me? Eh. I always joked that he and Tom Petty needed to start a school for enunciation in singing. *g* But, I really liked both of those guys as part of the Traveling Wilburys, and Dylan's last few albums have been great.

BTW, I turned on the radio to the local "hippie" radio station here. First song I heard was "Like a Rolling Stone." Right after it was "Question" by the Moody Blues. Thought of you kf!

Dylan is a big love for me. Best wordsmith in the world, easily equal to shakespear (jmo)

Until Clay came along Dylan was the only artist I followed. I actually probably own everything he ever put out, even his very first vinyll record. I even travel to see him! Started at 16 by hitch hiking across the country to see him. (How dumb was I? Thank God for guardian angels, let me tell ya!!) Of course he comes here now, thank god. Yes, I have bootleg video of him too.

But he has been my sanity all of my life and I owe him a LOT.

Then Clay came along and I love him too. He totally blindsided me!! Really!

Now I do not think I could live without Clay singing to me. He may have taken over my life as I used to know it! He is my serenity.

I am finding myself following him around the country and even if he did not sing, I would still need to see that smile and know he is ok. He is a healer in his own way.

People in my real life find it very strange that these two very different singers/men have touched my life in such a meaningful way. I'm sure they think I am crazy or something. But I was drawn to each of them for a reason.

Both are the best at being exactly who they are and using the gifts God gave them.

Each is in a league of his own.

Sometimes we all take different paths but still find our way to the top of the same hill.

(i am old so I guess crushing on only 2 singerguys in a lifetime is not too bad!)

(end of totally stupid, off topic post) :)

  13. I had an acquaintance try to tell me that maybe Clay had really good reasons for stating he is strait. I said BULLCRAP! (a lie is a lie) (eta - he is totally strait as he stated)

Clay is not a liar, he would have answered differently or round about if he did not want to state the truth. He stated the truth.

Clay said he is not gay and all the message board fans have seen the videos of same (I would imagine).

Anyone who has seen the statements and who continues to think he 'might' be gay or who still 'doesn't know' for sure after seeing him state it himself - is calling Clay a liar!

    What else could it be?

As far as his relationship with Jaymes or any other woman, I have no idea really except for what he has said himself.

If Jaymes is having a baby I wish her well. If Clay tells me it is his, then I will allow my excitement to rise.
