No couchie, it's sounding like he's trying to convince people to watch other things instead. He did retweet someone last night who was surprised he wasn't watching CApp, but that person also added that he should have won. *g*
That's easy enough for me. Last night I watched Once Upon A Time and Vikings. *g*

So much going on!
Fear congrats on the new house! Hope the move goes smoothly for you.
Luckiest have fun at the skating competitions! I thought I saw some listed on NBC for today, but not a lot...
Aikim good luck on the kitchen remodel.
I just got back from a friend's, we had a fun girls night! We skyped with our friend in the Marines whose stationed over in Japan, so that was cool. We asked him a ton of questions about how things are over there...sounds like a culture shock to me though! He's been there since last fall.

Jealous! I would love to see them -- I thought about going to Chicago for them, but the timing didn't work. Please report back (maybe by PM?), I'd love to hear all about it. (For those who don't know, Pentatonix is the acapella group who won season 2 of "The Sing Off," they are awesome!).
Yeah I can do that. I'm really looking forward to it cause they're just SO talented!

I had to giggle when I saw that picture. It's just the hair... sticking straight up! LOL Wonder where he's going...
Ugh so I'm trying to get my brain in order for tomorrow, everything I need to do before I go to a concert with a friend (we're seeing Pentatonix!). I made a list but I'm still afraid I'm going to forget something! :/

The Handmaid's Tale is a good book. Read it several years back now. Hope you enjoy it!
We're just starting to get the dreaded blizzard here... it's lightly raining with some sleet thrown in. We're expected to get between 6-8" where I live. Ugh! I'm ready for spring!

Clay Aiken @clayaikenAttempting to read some wording on a box, I said out loud, "Why do they have to print these things so small!" #isoundlikemymom #feelingold

Just got an email from the OFC saying the radio pilot will be next Tuesday!!! Woohoo!!!
-
Happy birthday luckiest!!

And he blogged! Won't be able to go but hoping all that do have a great time!
-
ldyj, no worries, I didn't hold mine up either. LOL We had 3 hours of Downton Abbey backed up in the DVR so we watched that instead.

Welp. We got hit by Nemo. Not as bad as southern Ontario and definitely not as bad as it's going to get on the east coast, but we had enough here, maybe 6"-7", couldn't easily take out a ruler either since there were mostly drifts and it would have skewed it to 12"+. Took me an hour and 45 minutes to clear a path on our deck and sidewalk and then tackle the snow drifts in the driveway. I'm a short-statured person so it's probably not a big deal to someone taller when I say that some of the drifts went up to my knees but it's probably a good 15"! At least the guy plowing our sub was nice enough to get rid of a huge pile I had made at the end of our driveway. I think I earned my weekend out! LOL
Did I mention we don't have a snow blower? So all that was manual labor with a trusty ol shovel....

It's slow on the news front, nothing new about the radio pilot either.
Sorry to hear about Dolce, I knew the screen name but not the person. She'll be missed.
Been busy on weekends, not much else going on during the week. I've got plans for this whole weekend again, spending it with friends. I probably won't be online much cause we'll be having too much fun! lol

Clay Aiken @clayaiken
Thank you, Always! Thank you, Forever! http://youtu.be/GCx9GDgeQcM
I may have teared up when he started to sing....

10 years from "Take"? Dang! I wasn't around for it either but have enjoyed all the years those few lines have given us.
ldyj and Fear hope things go well at work!
I actually just woke up about a half hour ago after sleeping for almost 10 hours...I didn't have a really busy weekend but it seems whenever I spend the night at friends the next night my body seems to be just happy to be in its own bed and it knocks me out. lol

I finally posted a question. It's one of the lesser heavy/depressing things going on in my life so he can take it serious or snarky.
-
I'm thinking the "no big deal" is sarcastic. It is a big deal but she'll play it off cool for Twitter. I see it a lot on there.
-
So I rewatched the chat tonight and I feel better about the whole radio show idea.. I missed the part where he said some producers in LA were already interested. That'd be a really good start for him!
-
Just gonna toss this out there as a young listener example...
I only listen to the radio in the car. I think we have a whole of 3 radios in our house, and 2 of them are alarm clocks. The third my mom takes to work...
My friends rarely have the radio on in their cars, they put in iPods or CDs. Now I think that's more because they're finnicky listeners and the radio doesn't play what they want to hear... as for radio in the evenings? I'd say all of us are a no. We watch TV or movies before bed. One of my friends does work a late shift and they'll play the radio there but I don't know if she'd put on an advice show on her midnight drive home... we're all in the 24-26 age range.
Even with music intervals? Maybe it'd help... but calling it an advice show is where I have the mixed feelings...
While I'm feeling like a Debbie Downer, I should remember the Spamalot announcement... I had mixed feelings then too and ended up loving it that he was on Broadway... so that's my pep talk LOL
I thought it was a fun chat and laughed out loud several times. He and Quiana are so comfortable together. I didn't have any problems watching and litening to the chat. Could it have been a computer memory problem shortyjill?Nope, the friend I was texting had the same problem and she just bought her computer last year. When it froze in Firefox though it started up again on its own, when it froze in Chrome I had to close out the browser, so I think I'll just stick to Firefox next time.

I love Clay, I really do... but I have mixed about the radio show. I know I'm not alone. I do hope he's able to get it off the ground and all the better for him if he can! He and Quiana were hilarious together tonight, I thought. The only part that got a bit tedious for me was when he was creating the guidelines... I doubt I'll be particitpating in the mock show and a friend and I started texting.. *oops* but it was about Clay and the chat! lol
A couple times it froze up on me, and the first time I actually had to close Chrome (which I was originally watching it in) and open it in Firefox. What a mess! I hope they fix that for next time. I'll have to watch it through tomorrow to catch what I missed.
One thing I discovered in my texting was... it doesn't seem to me like Detroit has many syndicated shows. I've never heard of Delilah before. All the radio stations I listen to have their own DJs with their own shows.. (just checked--Detroit doesn't carry Delilah). But I mean we don't even get Ryan Seacrest's morning show, and I know that's been syndicated! We get his AT40 though... Anyway, my point of this is... IF it all goes well for Clay and eventually starts getting picked up.. I think his chances of coming here are slim. I threw in a fast question about podcasts, and I saw others bring it up too..but he was right in that it's an idea for later. This fandom is savvy enough even if he never did them.
What Clay was talking about reminded a lot tonight of my favorite morning show that went off the air...they did a lot in the relationship advice category and they weren't professionally trained...they were just talk show hosts with a great sense of humor! They also relied on other callers and sometimes their advice was horrible so it made it funnier..
Didn't mean to write that much about it but it's how I feel...

So I went in seach of the wallingford Good News but couldn't find it in audio. My favorite version is from El Cajon but I couldn't find just the full audio of just it. So then I started just looking for other concerts from 2004 JNT and finally hit one that sounds good and is a good recording. Canfly's version from Detroit. Shortyjill...do you have your Wallingford version just in audio or is it on video.
Just audio. If it's from a video, I don't know... I got it a long time ago and I renamed almost everything I downloaded back then. Kinda feel dumb doing that now! lol
jmh it sounds like you worked with a fascinating, albeit frustrating, man!

Love coming home to clack, thanks ldyj! What started as just an afternoon shopping trip with friends yesterday turned into a couple bottles of wine and the Red Wings game in the evening.... spent the night at my friends and we won't mention the outcome of the game. I've got baked potato soup in the crockpot for tonight's dinner... other than that I'm being a couch tomato too! lol
-
Well crap! I wasn't going to watch the chat because Tuesday night is the night of too many TV shows. I might have to miss them all now to know what's going on! LOL
-
Good luck with your class, ldyj!
