OK so why do I now feel guilty and kind of squcky for taking binoculars to a Clay concert?

So why am I sitting here feeling miserable....because I turned down a ticket to Kimmel that's why!! I should be certified!

In all reality I didn't get the offer until yesterday evening and couldn't work out getting off of work but that doesn't make me feel any better!

With some of the things I see posted about Clay by some of his fans....well he doesn't need any haters!

Why would Clay want to go to the kind of party he doesn't feel comfortable at, be with people he doesn't know, is not up for an award, is not performing and it's not for any kind of charity? As far as I can tell he has never played the fame game?

Oh well I get to see him on my tv this week and I know I will love it because it's Clay! I'll take anything I can get. As far as Clay is concerned I'm a glass is full kind of girl! So It's ALL good!

Well maybe I should explain about the Macy's charge thing!!!!! It turns out I am the only one of the bunch who had the foresight to bring her Macy's charge card with her and well they were having one of their great sales. If you charged stuff you got another 20% off! Well we may not be easy but we are cheap...err...that didn't come out quite right! So I proceed to charge all their purchases. Get this I stand in really looong lines so I can pay for stuff that is not mine while the others continue to shop. Scarlett keeps calling me to find out if I have checked out yet! Now the real reason she keeps calling is the fact I have Right Here Waitng For You as my call tone and she just want to hear Clay sing it*g*

Oh If I remember correctly I was the only one who didn't buy anything. When I told my DH what we had done he laughed his head off and said "That's what friends are for!"

My husband today told me that when I have the eHP over to the house this weeend i need to call it a Super Bowl party, that way the cops won't be suspicious*g*

In all seriousness my hubby would love them all but he doesn't want to get involved in any way because it is "my thing". He is very understanding and a real enabler but feels that I should have some life apart from him! I guess that's why we have lasted 37 years together.

He buys me stuff, encourages me to go on these trips and even once in a blue moon will ask about Clay! I try to get him to listen to him but it's just not his style of music. He does say that he thinks Clay can really sing but that's as far as it goes. (Now he really did like Chain of Fools!)

I am so glad I have good friends to share this fandom with. It really does make it so very special and oh so much fun!

I can hardly wait Clay is gonna be on my TV and after that I'm having the eHP at my abode!!!! My DH just called and wanted to make sure he was not going to be home that weekend. I told him he woukl love them and he said he was sure he would but just not yet*g*

Interesting discussion on how Clay's music makes you feel. Sometimes I will listen to a song that I have heard a hundred times and for some unknown reason it will just "get" me! I don't quite understand it...I mean I am so familiar with the song and it's like I've never heard it before!

I've only cried a couple of times while listening to Clay and it's more the words bring back certain memories. I cannot listen to MDWL at all anymore without crying and it's because I think of my Mum being all alone in England this year, before she died.

My Mum was ill with a terminal lung disease but didn't know how bad she was! She still had all her faculties, was able to function almost normally, managed to live alone and do very well right until the end when she had a heart attack. It probably sounds selfish but looking back it was the best thing for all concerned. She would never have wanted to go into a home and she could not come over here! I think it would have been a nightmarish situation for everyone.

I really have to give Kudos to all of you dealing with family members with Dementia etc, It takes a very strong person to handle all that! I don't think I could have.

Now for something brighter: Yeah for the Yahoo video. I really don't care what it is of...as long as it's Clay singing....it's fine with me! Any Clay is better than none!!

Oh and as for AI6....well no one got me at "take" yet*g*

Tonight I was also over at the OFC. It was the stangest feeling to know Clay was online reading the same stuff I was! All sort of tingly inside (if you know what I mean)

Do I think everything is peachy keen between Clay and RCA or that he had the best PR there was to have or that things could not have been handled better? No. Is it just as possible that a large company like the BMG group was just ineffective in their planning (like they are with the majority of their talent) rather than the evil CEO spends all his time coming up with ways to hurt Clay? Yes. . Do I think Clay is a wimp being led around by the hand, silenced and unable to contribute to his own career, told what to say and not to say at every turn? No. He's a strong man in a man's world with all the facts at his disposal and will do what is necessary to ensure his longevity. I won't be surprised if he stays with RCA forever or walks away next week. I also think he is a great judge of character and knows every rat in his circle, if indeed there are any. I'm certainly not about to be upset on his behalf based on stuff I have no knowledge of.

Now I know why I feel comfortable posting here!

As for being obsessed and thinking about Clay all the time...no not me!
