  3. Goodness I love retro Clay pictures!! Thank you all.

..And for Luckiest and Couchie [i think] and all the other redhead/freckles lovers, here is a freckles feast blast from the past- Oprah backstage at Idol c 2003:

Yeah I too have a thing for Clays red-headed natural features which, sadly have faded from his photos over the years. I treasue them all. This is among my favorite Clay photos.

    ENJOY :BlowKiss:

eta--Great Banner Cindilu2! Love all things JBT.

  4. Honestly, what do I want for Clay? :PickMe-1:

Nothing more than he has just done: he has freed himself of many kinds of "other peoples" expectations. From all sides pushing on him, he has chosen his path, and I am happy he was able to do it in his own way.

Everything is up from this personal success, and I believe he will be happy now.

As a fan, I love the many sides of Clay and hope he tours again soon.

In truth however, I think Broadway's complete and utter acceptance of him has had its part in Clays new freedom, and I believe there will be more Braodway soon as I am sure many playwrites are writing an original part for him as we speak. :F_05BL17blowkiss:

I do not think for a minute, however, that Clay will stop doing other things such as tour and TV, but an original play for Clay and a real original part for him is next up. Broadway has given him much and Clay will be Clay and stay to give something back. I really wonder just how many offers he has had already.. what do you think?

However, as a personal fandream: TOUR_TOUR_TOUR, please Clay [and I DO NOT mean Xmas]. You can do a small one while you wait for that Tony-winning play to be ready.

  5. Oh, Sanctuary, Sanctuary!! [tmQuasimodo, one of my idols]

Thank you FCA for a place where I can still be happy with my fandom!

Please come and visit my gallary of best Clay photos from around Clay Nation, and today I am revisiting the Independant Tour. All photos are XLarge and lickable. Listen to a favotite tour stop and rest here awhile. angst-free zone --except Clay-the-Singer-angst.:clay:

Love to all you, and Clay&Jaymes&Parker too.

  6. :loveletter:Thank you for all the many birthday wishes and thoughts. Hope everyone had a great day.

    Hot Clay content http://findingclayaiken.invisionzone.com/i...=si&img=873

It has been so pleasant to come in here and read so many happy wishes sent to me. Thanks a bunch.

Ive had a great day at home, and have enjoyed reading/feeling all the happy wishes while I just

chill out with TV Olympics, hang with son, read FCA :cryingwlaughter: , and eat--in various combinations during the day.

I love all the pictures everyone has posted too. Great subject, :fedora: great fan photographers....

and a really fine group y'all are too! :pirateship: .

    Birthday Cool. :glasses:

    ETA=

?? How can I make picture show up in post while linking to my FCA Gallery??

  7. For what it's worth:

My 13-year-old daughter knows only that Clay is now a daddy and that the mother is a woman he's known for years and who produced his cds. She has no opinion--or rather, we haven't discussed it other than to give the facts.

My 17-year-old daughter goes 'ewwwwww' and has said, "It's just weird. Too weird." She knows how the baby was conceived and I've told her that to date Clay's only called her his 'dear friend'. She is definitely in the camp that believes this newest development seals the deal re: Clay's sexual orientation.

My husband just says, "I don't get it. Are they a couple? It's really odd to me if they aren't."

    And I say...

I don't know jackshit. Except what Clay tells me. And since he's ONLY telling me she's his 'dear, best friend', etc., BUT is having a child with her, choosing to spend much of his time with her (in the studio, on tours across the country for the past four years, with his family during holidays at his Raleigh home, on vacations with his extended family at the beach, when he visits So. Cal. and British Columbia, when he's on Broadway, and most likely soon in NYC in his pad there....

I end this rambling tome with this erudite summary:

    Whatever.

Well, now I understand why I havent put down in words just how I look at this!.. Its

because I agree with all 4 of you at the same time. How can that be? Especially the part

about knowing jackshit. Yes, and happy, happy, happy all the same.

Starting with his mad-talent as a voice and personna I love, I happen to cherish Clay's

uniqueness above all his other personal qualities.. and I try to embrace it because he is

always a suprise and always a mystery. I LOVE that he keeps himself unknowable yet

interesting. THIS is what has kept me a devoted fan. I want to read and speculate [usually

privately]--BUT I never want to know it all.

Welcome Parker Foster Aiken, I am so pleased that you are here safe and healthy and making

Clay one happy man. That is the only non-mystery to my heart, and it is what I have wished

for Clay for many years now. I believe that becoming a father is what he has always wanted

and further, the only thing he felt was missing from his life {\end speculation}. He is

such a smart guy-- he has now found a way to achieve that fullness. God speed Clay and

Jaymes and Parker for doing it your own unique way.

I do believe that being on stage-- be it a tour stage or a Broadway stage or a TV stage is

what he was born to do and as a fan of all his myrid unique projects from the JBT to

Spamalot I celebrate being a fan because I feel that with a full heart now, Clay will be an

even greater entertainer, and share his inner joy with all of us from the stage he was born

    for. And that's ALL GOOD!

PS I am thrilled beyond belief that Clay is returning to Spamalot since even though I live 4 miles from the Shubert Theater, personal financial reasons kept me from seeing him the first time around. As of my birthday, Aug 16th- I am now eligible for my State pension, and I will be there, A Spamalot Virgin.

So Hurah for second chances as it broke my heart thinking I missed it. I hope I can join some of you this time around!

So ends my first post with any major content.

Love to all who post here. :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  8. Im not a great poster, but I read and enjoy this board every day. :glasses:

In leu of talk, I offer up a Photo album I have been working on that is in the gallery here at FCA.

I like to view clack--audio,photo,video in Clays downtime, and it makes me appreciate him and the creative fans and the fun I have watching him entertain me...

...And so, I offer some warm sepia photos of Clay taken by a variety of Clack goddesses and professionals:

I hope you enjoy all, especially the first two photos, one sweet, one hot.

I have tried to credit any photographer I knew, but corrections are welcome.

It is certainly a work in progress, but the subject is fascinating.

Thank you so much Couchie and Admins for the fun and easy-to-use gallery-- I am having fun!

I hope you enjoy the pretty memories too, with more to come.

ETA: Thank You so much, ldyjocelyn, {Hows the library? Thank you lajeterfan, glad you enjoyed them.

  9. Thank You Luckiest1!!

Do you think you can post an mp3{HQ} of Jesus Medley--NB JojoCt?

I believe it's not in any CH/CV vault,.

In fact, most of Jojo's clack is not converted to audio, although I wish it were.

Pax used to do it sometimes--I miss her site.

Thanks again. I love what you guys recommend--Keep em' comming-- I love this kind of clack!

    :F_05BL17blowkiss:

    ETA: Thanks!!

  10. Love these kinds of discussions--

    1. What is your favorite Clay recorded song?

If You Dont Know Me By Now. Too bad 90% of the world never heard this.

--Does this count? I prayed for him to sing it this past summer, maybe next time.

    2. What is your favorite Clay live performance?

Clay sings great on Leno--every single time. Invisible, The Way, Solitire, MDYK--all great!

On Joyful Tours--Jingle Bells 2005+2007 [Clay does jazz]

    3. What is your favorite Clay tour?

Almost every song from the JBT, especially Motown Hat-Soulful-snapping Clay.

also BFM, Just You, TRD, 1000Days-- all the originals

    4. Can you guess that I would love a Soulful/Jazzy album?

ps~ Thanks playbiller for the shared clip

  11. I just want to say "thanks" in advance for the CITH lists, because your audio lists' rock!

The SRHP/DCAT Tour recommendations were fantastic, and often you picked songs different from the other fan lists with many great ones missed by others-- Also, the fact that you give 3 or 4 choices with reasons-- allows for off beat tastes, like mine-- but the lists are always THE BEST of choices anywhere....

ThankYou ThankYou. I especially love when someone lists a song version that is a favorite just because it has some xtra special something

[emotion-delivery-changeup-unknown?factor] that cannot be fully explained.

They are always the best. The perfect sound/perfect words are great, but sometimes there are just so many choices......

Carry on, I anticipate with eagerness.. no pressure.. gracias.

eta- No, Thank YOU [tmCHA to Paula] jmh123+CT

  12. Im another dark chocolate lover here--

Lindt XDark with Orange pieces inside is yummy.

    Also love all things cherry.

    How about dark chocolate-covered cherries??

I cant believe I am going to try to make the "cherry stuff" jello-thingy this weekend too.

All this food talk has me searching back on a clay board for recipes at 3AM--I cant believe that.

That olive or beef or whatever jello with scary faces is just wrong though. Sorry. NEVER gonna try that.

My thanks Claygasm, for keeping it real, since I sorta agreed with you in the first place. I really understood where you were coming from.

Im sorry I did not tell you/or say that out loud earlier , but I'm telling you now... :F_05BL17blowkiss:

you're cool by me for saying what you think.

Personally, for me, and in my opinion, I like thinking that Clay is capable of being a jerk cause I guess I just do not like perfectly behaved people.

And Im with Kandre and others who think that the word "jerk" is about as evil-sounding as pissy-- which is not at all.

But I called my son a jerk once, and he got REAL pissy. Then I acted like a pissy jerk too.

So there it is. Everyone is a jerk sometimes, but Slimon has 'em all beat.

    Good Night everyone.

Thanks to all the mods here and to couchie and friends for tolerating the invasion with such grace. Im a happy camper. But then, the only thing that riles me up are concert screamers--especially during I Cant Make You Love Me, and, IYDKMBNow, if Clay ever sings it.

Im all the way up to 3 posts in 2 years.

    Yay me.

  13. ooooooooooo no!

I thought the hurricane had passed. SHIT!

Just when I thought it was FINALLY OVER--

KLo goes and drops a pissy bomb.

What the hell has happend to the CLocke?

I hope the Cluben is still safe.

    {Im chanting "JesusIsLove" at home right now}

Is it safe to admit Ive been hiding/lurking here where the angst is still funny and the love of all things Clay still sane-- smutty, but very sane.

I refuse to leave my fandom over FANS> but I almost did.

Anyway, you guys are tearing up cyberspace here.

20 pages since I left here a day ago. I have bee trying to catch up for hours!

I had to finally skip ahead see if I could slip in here unnoticed with something trite so to get my feet wet among you all. [i am a really shy poster whos not too shy a person]

Ive been hiding my eyes from the other clay boards and all the pissing and moaning in clayland but I found you guys are able to still carry on the actual funny.

    Back to unhidden lurking.

    Thanks. Very much.

  14. Hi All

Here is the link I found to NYC 106.7 FM

I have dialup and have not tried to listen yet, but here it is anyway.

Right now I'm listening to the DF Gala MP3s--Thank you Scarlett and Deborah,

but for those near NYC and currently listening, give it a try so NYC can be counted in ClayNation.

    http://www.1067litefm.com/cc-common/mfeatures/clayaikenSP/

Nice to finally join everyone here.

I will be back to add my 2cents when I have given a listen to the album.Although I am not against spoilering myself to the album, I am still waiting for Sept19--so far.

If you haven't done so yet, Go give a listen to the David Forster Gala MP3.

I will always be most in love with live Clay, but I hear the album is "pretty good" ---ya think?? *g*

Love this site. Thank You. Very very much. B)
