  1. I just noticed that in the list of people who did background vocals on the cd there is a Jenny Hill listed. I know there is a Jenny Hill in the Spamalot ensemble and wondered if it could be her. Of course, that's a pretty common name, so it's probably someone else.

I was glad to see Angela and Quiana were listed as background. Already knew about Quiana, but was surprised to see Angela listed.

  2. I wish I could share this final day experience with him. *sigh*

    Break a leg, dude.

Really, really wish I was there too! I do think this has been a fantastic time for Clay and probably surprised him too how much he enjoyed it. It's opened up his world a little bit more and I can't wait to see what's going to happen in the future.

Sending a big :F_05BL17blowkiss: to all the FCA crew who will have the joy of seeing Clay in his final Spamalot performance today. Have fun!

  3. I would think it is situational...Clay rarely comes across the same on TV as he does in concert . After all how does one get "in the mood" when there is blocking and lighting and sound checks and that damn camera to follow with those constant and mind blowing EFs. I mean seriously a good EF requires a lot of energy...

If anything I find myself being the one stiff...LOL While intently watching I was nervous and anxious for him, for sales for EVERYTHING...

    *breath clayanne*.

...I didn't even know all the words since I haven't visited the lyric thread....baaaad Clayfan.

I think EIDN is going to kill live....God help the unsuspecting NJU peeps who might find their way to a show.

Yep, a big fat WORD to all of this. Totally in love with EIDN. Can't wait to hear this live in concert someday. :Thud:

  4. The ordering info for the cd/dvd is up at QVC. I was on there setting up an account so I'd be ready for tomorrow when I realized there was a "add to cart" button just waiting for me to click. WooHoo! :00000442:

The price was $19.38 plus 3.97 (standard shipping) and 1.93 tax. Total - $25.28

Standard shipping gets it here about May 15th. There is faster shipping, but the cost is a lot higher. I figure I'll be busy listening to the Wal-Mart cd I ordered.....and the iTunes digital download when it's available. In case you're wondering, yes, I do seem to be spending a lot lately on Clay stuff....trip to NYC....signed playbill.....lots of cd's.....etc.

Clay just rings my bell...... :cryingwlaughter:

  5. I've been trying to read all the posts from the last 6 days, but I have a long way to go. There is soooooo much going on with Clay that I definitely need a calendar with all the Clay dates (hee) coming up, plus dang it, now I need to figure out how many copies I need of the new cd. Gotta have all the extras!

First I wanted to let you guys know that I saw Spamalot for the first time this past weekend and I was blown away by how freaking fantastic Clay was. I know that I sat there with a huge grin on my face the whole time, well, except for when I was laughing which was a lot. It's just unbelievable how much he has accomplished in the last 5 years. Can't wait to see what happens next!

I'm not going to do a recap because there have already been so many beautifully worded ones that I have thoroughly enjoyed along with all of you and can not do justice to what I felt and saw. As some of you may remember this trip was a Christmas present from my son and he got us great seats in the center mezzanine (sp?). My son is not a Clay fan, but he certainly enjoyed the whole show. I know that he was laughing and applauding as loud as anyone else around us. After the show he couldn't stop talking about how much fun it was and how impressed he was with Clay's performance. That made me smile! We hung around upstairs after the show watching people have their picture made with Clay and my wonderful son offered to pay the $300 so I could have my picture taken with him. I declined since I know how much he had already spent, but I did buy the autographed playbill which I'm going to frame. The whole weekend was one I'll remember forever. It was verra verra nice! :lilredani:

  6. Saw THIS at the CH. Odd, isn't it?

HMMMMM very interesting....may mean something or not.... but verrrrrry interesting.

If you click on "Clay Aiken - On My Way Here" it will take you to a page with the QVC info....date, time, channel, etc. Sorry to say it's just the one appearance on QVC, and not a series.

This weekend will be my one and only trip to NYC to see Clay in Spamalot!!!! I'm so excited to be going and am just keeping fingers crossed that he will be performing on Saturday night because that's the only time I'll be going. Yeah....I know....I must be crazy, but I'll be with a couple of guys that wouldn't understand why I'd prefer watching Clay over and over to seeing all the sights of NYC. Still, I get to do both so no complaints from me!

  7. One of my favorite pieces of clack is from the Neil Sedaka Tribute. It is the Solitaire-Part 2 by mustbeeme. It's not very clear and Clay's face is washed out, but what I love about that particular video is watching the expression on the face of the guitar player behind Clay. When Clay sings the long Solitaaaaaaaaiiire you can see this huge grin on the guitar player and then he just laughs when Clay finally finishes holding that long note.

Then the guitar player and the drummer exchange this look like "can you believe that voice?". He just looks amazed, smiles during the rest of the song and then claps at the end. I just love seeing the reactions from professional musicians like him when they hear Clay.

Here's the Youtube link. It's not as clear as the one I downloaded, but you can still see the reactions and the huge smile at the end from the guitar player.

  8. Happy birthday txflwrgrl! Has anyone seen her lately? I miss her.

Aaahhh, thanks lydjocelyn! I'm alive and well and living in the land of lurkdom. I promise to try to join in the fun here more, but I do get a kick out of reading here. There's a lot of smart, funny, and creative ladies at FCA.

4b9ae577.gif <-- heh, Spamalot trip to NYC

Hey Play! Is that my all expense paid trip to Spamalot that I got for Christmas that you're trying to take? Back off woman! :cryingwlaughter:

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! It's been a work day for me and I loved coming here and seeing the birthday messages even though I don't post that often.

KarenEh - Your pictures are very yummilicious - Thanks for letting us enjoy them!

Bottle - Loved that you included a Texas flag and a yellow rose in your birthday message for me. Thanks! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

Okay.....and now back to your regular programming.

  9. Today, all my kids are heading to their dad's, and my mom is heading home. I plan to spend the day eating left overs & chocolate, and catching up on my clack. Maybe rewatch the skating show a second time. YAY for no work!

Now that's the way to spend the day....eating leftovers & chocolate and watching clack. LOL I loved my Spamalot trip surprise, but you got a great surprise too! That was such a fantastic gift from your family for them to redo your bathroom. What a thoughtful gift!

  10. Guess what I got for Christmas today! My son who lives in New Hampshire is in Texas spending the holiday with me and today he gave me the last present under the tree. He said it wasn't a real present, just a hint of one to come.

Under the red tissue I found a can of Spam and a Frommer's guidebook to New York City! Guess who's going to see Clay in Spamalot! My son and his partner are paying for tickets, airfare, hotel, etc for a weekend trip and will be meeting me there in NYC. Will get to do some sightseeing along with the most beautiful sight ever.......CLAY IN TIGHTS! hee

My first trip to NY and I get to see Clay too! Can't get much better than that!
