  1. Speaking of AIW and MCWL...lol Christmas eve, DD and I stopped for breakfast on our way to our last day of WFI. Our waitress happened to be my second son's speech pathologist when he was in middle school. She saw the Bubel/AIken on the back of my shirt...asked if it was for Clay Aiken, so I said yes of course...she went on and on and on how she LOVED Clay and wanted him to come around here and she didnt have any CDs of his, was hoping to get some for Christmas but if she didnt she would have to buy them after. I said, not even his Christmas CDs? No she said. So she left our table, I ran out to the car, grabbed MY copies of MCWL and took AIW out of my CD player, went back in. She walked by, I waved her over.....I handed her the CDs and she started SOBBING....she hugged them tightly to her, then hugged me. AWWW.. man she had ME crying.... We talked a little, she went to the back came out wiping her eyes still....told me she went to the back and just bawled. Wow....I will never forget it. Yes, It was MY last copies...but you know the Clay Nation...I had many generous offers for replacement and even if I never ever did get to replace them, I would do it again....just to make her that happy was SO worth it! Just wanted to share...
  2. bottlecap dont know if you have noticed lately...anytime I am at CV anymore, I am pretty much a lurker..... You expressed yourself just fine....
  3. SO how many went and googled that song??? Just me then?? It actually came up with a match...makes no sense....when I followed it it said artist name of ATC...
  4. Remember me? Wow, didnt realize how long it was since I was even here to read...with the holidays, WFI and all I just had no time....I am hoping after the new year to change that. BUT after reading through the last 10 or so pages I was behind on, I had to tell you...I really like the friendship and respect I see here....I kinda feel like I am standing outside a candy shop with my nose pressed to the window....I envy that you all seem to know and love each other.... It is nice to see such a board..and one with no green ink. I get tired of the disrespect for Clay on other boards...and sometimes for each other. I just dont get it.... I now have to figure out how to make some money before the next tour starts because I just wont miss it....promised that to my daughter a long time ago...and somehow so far, I have kept it! thanks for letting me sneak in!
  5. Um, NO! I am sure they will think of some reason it wasnt good.... Claygasm I loved your report as well! I am loving all the reports coming in as to the reactions to those who havent heard him b efore... oh great TH is on the early show...my apologies to any fans...but I must hit my mute button and not look at that time..... Love the stories about yesterday...and he sang WISUS to her....wah!!! LOL about the girls who fell out of their seats.....dont blame them!
  6. GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love love love love love the hair, the stubble...the whole darn package!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I listened last night...it was fabulous....I swear he gets funnier and funnier every night......He sure looks FINE!!!!!!!!!! wow!!!!!!
  8. hey...I thought ATDW is dead ...dead I tell you...someone didn't get the memo...heh Darn it...forgot to mail it!!! lol
  9. Let's see - unlucky Clay is dealing with quite a list of problems lately: He's old, fat, balding, losing his voice, subject to wardrobe malfunctions, a bully to little blonde women, ambiguous about his sexuality, abused by RCA, and now he's a deadbeat dad. Poor bastard.... Its a scream isnt it?????? hahaha I LIKE that pic.......................total thudilicious!!! yowza!
  10. The buffering was very frustrating......not worth sitting through...... but I am listening to Merrillville on CD..sigh.....that went by much much too fast!
  11. Boggles the mind doesnt it?? I thought he looked pretty thin in Merrillville.... I am sure they probably started their research project the minute he said he was taking it...
  12. I thought his voice sounded much richer in Merrillville....a lot better ...he gets older, his voice gets better..... Some people just like to find fault and complain like its their job.
  13. The hair looks GREAT! The vids are great! AIW...WOW!!! As I told my fellow workers in front of my young daughter and customers once as I took something of him to be framed... I'D DO HIM!
  14. Where were you sitting? We got there between four and four thirty I would say....how long were you there?
  15. IT was clem231's pic of the bus...great one of Clay! Just kind of fun to have part of a face in it with him....lol
  16. IT didnt take long at all. Jerome came out first and told everyone to move back, that he was bringing HIM out....they wanted the kids in the front. aww....there was a lot of people there. I was worried they would rush him and that would be it. He brought him out...I didnt reach for him . too many people. was great to see him up close...the hair looked GOOD. Jerome had a light and kept it shined on all the hands grabbing Clay. There was a car parked and they stopped at the other side of that....someone told me there was some laying down and they told them to get back...seemed at the end he went fast. It struck me that then Jerome put his arm around him like he does and then moved him very fast back to the bus. It went very fast, but its fun to see him up close and personal and it is great he will do that....especially touching all those people with his allergies and people with colds..... That was about all there was to it...I did see in one of the bus pics I am in the corner of it...cool.
  17. I loved this all.... I am thankful we did get so lucky....My daughter made a comment while we were there that she wondered what we would be doing if CLay hadnt come into our lives? She said it sure would be boring! so true! and oh, can you just keep posting..I LOVE your avi....it makes me smile and cry both! god, what a moment!! oh forgot to tell you....our ride home took a long long time....In case you dont believe in guardian angels..here is what happened to us. From Merrillville to Mason City is at least a 7 hour drive, maybe more. We noticed in Illinois on our way back there is not a lot of places to get gas off the Interstate. The mileage meter in the Jimmy said 43 miles until we needed gas....so our driver was looking while watching that. Suddenly she says, I have to get off the interstate...I notice the concern on her face...we are at an exit. Take that, manage to get off the ramp and pull over just before a busy turn. There are 4 of us from Mason City, the other girl we brought says....there is my mom's back yard right there! She calls her, and her stepfather comes and gets her, gets us gas and we go. It took a bit and it was a dangerous place to be parked...and btw, not one person stopped to help. ANYHOW...do you realize how incredible it was in all of the 7 hour trip to run out of gas literally TWO BLOCKS from her mom's house?!
  18. Hi! Back from Merrillville.....didnt get to meet most of who I wanted to...and we were even at Smokey Bones too....what time were you all there? I said we all need nametags with screennames.....I am sure many I was seeing as I walked around, looked around, were people I wanted to meet.... There are so many great recaps, I fear I cant add anything new... I sat leaning forward each time he sang. Watching, listening intently. Wanting to take it all in, make it a part of me forever! It struck me that he has a richness to his voice that I have never heard before! It was incredible.... and All is Well? I am thankful I was once again there to witness one of the great moments in Clay 'history'! WOW!!! I will never be able to listen to that the same again! When we were on our way home, that song came on, and I had to grab the kleenex....as now...just thinking about it...the tears are running. This concert was a gift to Kayla and I. One I will never ever forget. It was all... INCREDIBLE! ETA: we did go to the buses. In the words of my 14 year old daughter..he looked HOT!
  19. Got mine working finally....grrrrr Elvis medley right now........oh lordy...that voice....picturing those hips... sigh...
  20. Oh don't say that! If I can't get it to work I'll freak! I remember the last time I tried it - for the David Foster Gala I think - I had tons of trouble. I PMed caperkeeper and she helped me out and I got it to work. I saved her PMs - just in case I need them. And rcknrllmom, have fun and drive safely! ETA: I want one of those hoodies too! He would make a fortune if he sold them. Better test it out then... I have tried for days...nothing.....grrrrr... what is some of the things she said to do??????
  21. Yippee stopped at Penneys and got a new outfit.....now I will have something to wear.....cant believe we hit the road in just over 4 hours.......I am not even done packing yet!! yikes.....hope I dont forget anything.......mostly my tickets.... I cant get my CV cellstream to work at all and it is making me mad...I paid the $$$ and never had any trouble before......sigh...
  22. Thanks all.... Cant believe I get to see him TOMORROW....I hope! By the time we are heading to Illinois in the morning, I hope it is all cleaned up. I am glad to hear he made it there okay! busy day today getting ready to leave at 2 today...we are going part way there.
