DD and I are going to Houston and Tulsa... IF I can scrape up more $ I have two tickets offered to us for the Greek and I reallllllllllllly wanna go there..but the TX/OK stint is costing me big time....sigh

I need to find out when we will be getting to Tulsa...have a feeling will be a long day of driving from Houston... WHEN I find that out, I am hoping that there is still time to sign up my daughter and I for the preparty!!!!

I am not a member of the CH....guess they dont want me ...lol BUT we are signed up for the preparty.....we are guests of someone who is!!! cant wait! Just also wanted to say that I read here every day....see my name?? hehe...BUT I am so so busy and tired lately I hardly have time to do much of anything let alone the energy to put together one single intelligent post! You guys put on some great discussions here.........what you dont see me nodding in agreement? and oh, pics like the ones thrown in here lately are good too!

First getting ticket stress this morning. Then answering PM's and emails. Going to this board and that. Yuck. I should never leave here. Spent time on the phone talking with my friend. Then my sis called to wish me a late happy birthday. Let's see what else. Oh I cleaned myself up, brushed my teeth and washed my hair. Shaved my legs. I now have a load of clothes in the dryer and am getting ready to go make a milkshake........ Whew. I'm tired. Sec C row R could be worse, could be better.....

Clayzorback We will also be at the Crowne Plaza....all reservations are made...airline tickets picked up...yikes....will be more relaxed when all tickets are in hand.... cant wait! Faye looks great for 61! DH and I were out last friday....met some guy from my hometown....who said I wouldnt know him because I look to be in my "mid 30's" Yeah, OKAY! I will take that!!!!!!!!

OH SO CAN DO! BUT I need song suggestions...anyone????????? AND looks like since no midwest dates and I tanked on trying for some others we are now gonna try the Houston/Tulsa ones... SO if you know where to find some Houston tix or have some let me know..need two for sure..and probably 3 if I can talk my friend from Oregon into these and I think I can! maybe add Dallas....cheaper to fly there than Houston.....

I would be coming from northern Iowa. Tulsa is a ways...airfare is ridiculous....I thought it wouldnt be so high.

So far NONE...I have been waiting to see a final schedule to see if there are any around here I can get to...IF not...then I have to figure out how to get two tickets to one somewhere and a way there, etc!!!!!!!! I am pretty zen about it though.....something will work out somehow! someday...somewhere!

For some reason, reading those words from someone I knew back when our lives were carefree and fun, from someone I knew when we were in college where events like this were never in our thoughts, were very chilling to me. "These things remind us of our utter frailty and our limit." I think we all forget at times how fragile life is, how it can all shatter in a moment. I know for me I fritter away time like I'll always have tomorrow. I never want to live like I'm dying tomorrow, but I do want to make a greater effort to get as much out of the life I have as I can because life is fragile. I so often look at my life and say what a waste. Not sure how I'll change that, but I want to. Wow that just has me in tears. I KNOW that life is fragile....lost my father at age 4. Ran across a book once that was called The Loss That Is Forever...about how losing a parent affects your whole life. Since I learned about mortality so young and how someone you love can be taken at any time my whole world was changed. When I faced my own mortality almost 5 years ago , with 4 young children, I have decided to live my life. To have fun...to find the JOY!! I have to sometimes remind myself to not sweat the small stuff because none of it really matters in the end!! And I SURE HOPE that isnt the last of the dates to be announced...I MUST go see this tour...Clay live just replenishes my soul...and I need a bit of that right now!!!!!!!!!

I went there earlier after reading post after post about so much sadness. I wanted to be reminded of the good in the world....and I saw those new pics! he does look pretty good holding that baby now doesnt he???? I could stare at that one all day!
