ETA - Well poop...game postponed due to rain. I figured that would happen after last nights game. I felt bad for the Cubs given that was their first at home Saturday night game in nine years. Nationally televised with a starting crowd of over 39,000, most of whom left by the 5th inning because the weather conditions were so fucking aweful! I still can't believe the umpires didn't call it until the 7th inning. It was brutal out there!

Guess I'll clean the cat box and get the trash ready for tomorrow. ugh

On the 6:00 WRAL TV news, there was a short segment on Clay's upcoming SSB. The teasers mentioned the game at the historic DAP and a celebrity who would be there. . The story showed a clip of Clay at the JBT in Cary, singing and rocking out in that great black jacket. He looked so great!! They also mentioned Spamalot, I think. It was a great promo!! Made him look like the star he is!

I bet it might be repeated at 11:00, if anyone wants to watch.

What a nice, unexpected treat to come home to! I had just gotten home from work and we were eating and watching the news.

I have to agree with all that you've said, kf! These were carefully measured and precise actions the president took, without any of the Teddy Roosevelt "Bully" or "Chaaarrrge" that his predecessor seemed so fond of IMO. It may be why Obama's plan worked. I don't know.

..this baby is eating every two hours...really think by now he could have some cereal but she won't give him any until he is 6 months.

:o Seriously? That must be something new. I know my daughter would have been gumming the furniture.....or my arm...if we had not put her on soft solids when she was two and a half months old. She was hungry all the time and I had to limit how much I let her eat but her pediatrician said there was no reason not to if the baby is ready for it. And brother, was she ever ready for it

It's my cousin's birthday and he has been a very close and good friend to me over the years, most especially this past year which has been extremely difficult for me. So today I am treating him to a train ride on the Jepson Prairie. It is a local vintage train that takes you out and around to view the wild flowers in bloom throughout the prairie at this time of year. It also includes some lovely wine tasting as you go which is right up our alley!!

Should be a nice day, though WINDY.

I hope Clay does something, anything (well, almost anything ) s.o.o.n.
