  1. WARNING: The following are the concert recap ramblings of a woman still under the influence so you may want to scroll. That fog is far reaching (it had to be last night) and potent y'all!

What a GREAT time I had yesterday. Meeting up with some wonderful ladies, making new friends and memories while getting to see the most beautiful object of our affection LIVE made for an incredible evening! I know I'm bound to miss someone or get a name wrong but I want to say thank you to couchie, merieeee, Perma, artquest, solo, perusing one, ficus( I hope your picture is on the mend) and cloopy for making "3/12 END" a truly warm and wonderful memory for me!

I finally met the delightful treenuts who could not have been a better concert companion. We had a blast! I hope we get to do it again one day.

Awww....and what a wonderful seat mate you were. Such a trooper sitting with me up in "the cheap seats"! Only NOT!! My PBS tickets sucked eggs and I had half a mind to let them know. Suffice to say it's the last time I'll be purchasing anything like that again through them. While Clay's face may have been a distant blurrr of blinding white light (and I don't mean his aura) there was no problem with hearing that beautiful, sometimes soft, sometimes deep, sometimes soulful, sexy and often insanely fast and blathering voice*g* And of course there was no mistaking those were his gloriously long legs moving all about the stage.....far, far below.

My absolute favorites last night were SM (this has quickly become my favorite from both tours this year), IOM, Misty took me by surprise, Invisible from the medley CMSU, UM (my first time hearing the jet engine note live and it nearly knocked me back), Crying which was absolutely stunning and IML *sniff* was...well....sublime.

The interaction with Blaine was precious; the opening with Jerome Bell making his big DEBUT was fucking genius even though I was sitting so far up there that it took us a few seconds to realise it wasn't Clay LOL; the glow sticks were very touching and uhm.....glowy :P

I went prepared to come away moist and wanting more and I did! I had packed plenty of tissue for us and indeed did use one or two at the end. And even if tears had not been in supply it would have come in handy for a nose bleed. *farts in PBS' general direction*

My understanding is there are currently two cars with open occupancy on the Clay train as of today - The Destination Speculation Station car and the Dining car where the special beginning today is the All the Young You Can Eat Buffet. hmm....I wonder which will fill up first. heh

  2. Cindilu, great NJU story!! I wish he would/could tour overseas because I think they'd go nuts (hee) for him!

luckiest, I'm sorry to hear your M&Moo,Run,Flash(?) was so crazy huge! I'm guessing your daughter didn't get her armed signed by TC? I hope you both have a wonderful concert experience though. REALLY WONDERFUL!

And in honor of Jerome's request ---> :loveclaysbutt:

ldyj, I actually came by to join the concert thread last night but saw nobody there :(

I won't be home tonight so I'll miss the cellcert. Will catch up later.

  3. Couchie, did you say field trip? :meme: Just let me know...

This is a must see..especially the end when gets intimate with the mic!

    Kim

Dayum! He looked like he was channeling a little Sammy Davis Jr. in that medley. His dancing/body moves were :Thud: I can't tell you how many times I've watched him kiss that mic!! He was ON FIRE and knew it last night! It was magic. I hope there's some lightening left to capture in that bottle when he get's to SF. I am soooo fucking stoked I may stroke before he get's on stage. :dancetom:

Either he got some major dirty hot mansex the night before or he received a really good offer for something career wise! He is positively glowing&crowing in the videos from Waterbury!

  4. Wow, some really good pics from the last two nights!

<------- Let's just pretend this is my M&G pic and this is how far away Clay requested I stand. Ya know, being a treenut and "whatnot". heh

Great M&G photos! So luckiest, merieeee & kf, you all had a chance to manhandle our man huh?! I won't say I'm not jealous of you very lucky bitches ladies, so I'll just say I'm living vicariously through each of you.

    *shallow moment*

I'm LOVING his hair this way. Soft, w/just a slight wave and the color is fantastic without a lot of product in it! :hubbahubba: I hope he keeps it like this for SF. And that blue v-neck sweater fits him so well. Accentuates all the right things like shoulders, chest, length of upper torso, arms....now if only he were to find a nice ( read: tighter :whistling-1: ) pair of jeans :Thud: I may need sedation if he shows up like that in SF! Oh yea, and of course he'll be singing too. Though I probably would pay to just be able to sit and look at him.

    what?

    /shallow moment

  5. Those are some sertiously YUMMY photos, bc! Thanks for bringing them over! :hubbahubba:

How long till San Francisco? I cannot wait. I have never been to California and I can't wait to see you all. Party time??????

    :yeahthat:(bolded part)

Couchie? Anyone planning anything? I mean it's freaking San Francisco for crying out loud! The choices are endless :yahoo:

Next time I'm going to Big Sur and Sausalito and Carmel and the wine country .... maybe two weeks!

Don't you dare make plans without me for that next visit! I intend to drink my way through the wine country with you. LOL :cocktail:

[i am now officially stashing money for NYC and that Broadway role he says is "on the table." For Clay to say that, he must already have the contract in his pocket.

WHAT??? That's wonderful news! When did he say this??? How did I miss it. Can you please point me to where this was mentioned. thx
  6. Bringing my post over from the tour thread (San Francisco venue)in case nobody has read there recently ~

If anyone is or knows of someone who might be interested, I have an extra ticket. I had originally planned to take my mom but she doesn't want to go any longer. Go figure.

I really hate driving into the city alone too. poopy :(

Also, want to know if there is a pre-concert or post concert dinner/party/gathering planned? :whee: I'm really looking forward to seeing some FCAers that weekend!

    Another new interview -

    http://www.vindy.com/news/2011/feb/17/a-grown-up-clay-aiken-sticks-to-8216trie/

This part was a little different though and I like the way he answered it:

    Q. Finally, do you think you’ll ever officially be out of the “American Idol” shadow?

    A. First, you’d have to assume it’s a shadow. I’m not so sure it is. It still shines a pretty big light. I don’t know if one ever does leave that to be honest, but I think after eight years, people for the most part recognize me for me. I think I’ll always be — or at least as long as the show is on the air — be considered or introduced as being from “American Idol.” And that’s fine; that’s how I got here.

  7. It is a good sign. And what I liked best about this particular piece is the part I bolded below.

    http://outsmartmagazine.com/2011/02/clay-aikens-valentines-day-concert-in-houston/

The star is thankful for his fans that have supported him since the beginning, and to his new fans that are just discovering him. He believes that his Houston fans will be happy that they chose to see him on Valentine’s Day. “It’s the Valentine’s Day show for everyone, for all couples, of all stripes and varieties,” he says. “Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come and show their love of the person that they are with, regardless of who they are and who they are with. I hope to see everyone there.”
