  1. Spamalot? Cool! I'd go in a minute, although I know next to nothing about the show. When has that mattered before? Will he get to sing the Spam song? Yeah, it's probably rumor, but you never know..... I'll hope. ETA: I am inordinately happy about the dispperance of that automatic note that announced and time stamped a poster's last edit. Thanks to whoever made that change. :F_05BL17blowkiss: And while I'm editing without reprocussion...... Happy Birthday, Keepingfaith!
  2. And, with that triple today, he set an incredible record: 20 Doubles, 20 Triples, 20 Homeruns, 20 Stolen Bases - only the 3rd player to do so in Major League history. Congratulations Phillies! :04:
  3. Claygasm, I found some more listings for American Idol Rewind in the Philadelhpia area. I don't know how much it differs by zipcode, and I'm in Delaware County, but here's what it looks like, according to the TVGuide website: New York Auditons: Sun, Sep 30 at 8:00 pm WGN Mon, Oct 1 at 4:30 am WGN Sat, Oct 6 at 5:00 pm WGN Miami/Detroit Auditions Sun, Oct 7 at 8:00 PM on WGN Sat, Oct 13 at 5:00 PM on WGN Somewhere, I saw something about it also being on WPHL, so I'll check out both networks. if I have them, which I don't really know. Nope, no DVR or Tivo for me, either.
  4. I can't find anything definitive, CG. I see a listing for NY auditions Sunday at 8pm on WPHL, and WGNSAT (whatever that is); however, it's in the middle of listings that name Kelly and Justin . I've seen the Season1 rewind in passing, so I know it's broadcasted, but I neverwatched it, and don't recall when or where I saw it. I'm watching the Phillies, too :Boss: So fun, but nervewracking..... -------- ETA: I just saw an ad for something about AI auditions on the TV guide channel - tonight at 8, but it didn't specify rewind or a particular season. I'll look for it again and pay closer attention. -------- ETA2: Never mind, that TV guide thing is about this year.
  5. This cracked me up! I recognize myself in that reaction, keepingfaith. How funny is it to be excited because Clay will be saying things we haven't heard before? It's like a new song, almost! I love to hear Clay talk, and almost don't care what he's talking about. I suppose he will be following a script, so I don't know how much of 'Clay' we'll get, but his personality always shines through. I can't wait! I have determined that it is impossible for me to make the simplest post without needing to edit. Oy! Maybe if I learned to proofread.
  6. He's on my list, too, canuck. I'm so looking forward to hearing Clay narrate on AI2 Rewind . I just love to listen to Clay talk. The only downside is that it means I'm going to watch every episode. Just not enough time for everything...... Right now, I'm obsessed with TV and print coverage of the National League East Pennant Race! (Where's the nail biting smilie?) As for the Roger drama - I'm ignoring it. What will be, will be.
  7. I've been to all of my high school reunions and enjoyed them quite a lot.... for the first half hour. Then they got boring. I'd go again, though, because I had so much fun in high school and reliving it for even a half hour every 5 years is worth it. We didn't do any of those award things at my high school, and if there were cliques, I managed not to notice. I think I had an unusual experience, fortunately. My 20th grade school reunion was the most fun, though. People behaved like they were 12 again. Loved it!
  8. I love her voice, too, Toots, screaming and all. It's her songs that I'm not crazy about most of the time, but I really like Be Still and Maybe from her recent CD. Congratulations, Caro! :25:
  9. Oh GAWD. I'm done. I'm going to bed now. Oh, GAWD. That yoga position makes me feel like I'm going to lose my cookies.
  10. Shipping - I don't tend to do that, but I'm amused by it when it's speculation in the spirit of fun. Doesn't bother me, and I never take it seriously.
  11. What would you considered a "blowtorched puppy" -- in other words, what could Clay do that would make you stop being a fan? The only thing I can think of that would make me stop being a fan is if he became boring to me, but I don't see how that could happen. He's become more interesting over time. I'm OK with whatever direction he takes in his career, musical and otherwise. As for his personal life... well, I'll admit to being interested in it, but there's nothing I can think of that would affect my fandom. It's just not about that for me. OK, if Clay committed some horrible crime against humanity, I might have a problem with that, but I surely don't see that happening.
  12. Voting - I still vote on things on occasion, but only when it's something I really think. I don't search for Clay just so he'll be high on the list of searches, but if I see a poll asking who is my favorite idol, I vote, because my response is true.
  13. My role in fandom: Pure and simple - enthusiastic audience member. I don't feel any responsibility, don't angst over Clay's career or decisions. I just enjoy the whole thing. Hobby or addiction - I'd say hobby in terms of my Clay time and activity, but when it comes to Clay's voice, I'd say I'm addicted. His style is so not in the realm of the usual music I listen to, and yet when he has new stuff out, or is touring, I can't listen to anything else. Once I hear his voice during those phases, I pretty much tune all other artists out. That used to bother me, since I'm such a music collector, but now I just accept it, and know that the phase will pass and I'll be able to take in other sounds again at some point.
  14. Not another one! This PA/NJ schedule is out of control! I think last year's show in Williamsport is one of my all time favorites. And, yes, Franco's! Don't miss it. Just be nice to the chef.... I owe him one, since I sorta snapped at him (mildly) when he asked if we were Claymates. I know... it's not a big deal, but it hit me the wrong way. I don't like being stereotyped, but of course, that's not what he meant. JaMar smoothed it over for me, thankfully.
  15. Thanks, cindilu. I loved that! I think Idol Rewind will be fun to watch.
  16. Looks to me like when she was all up on him screaming, she might have dropped a ferret down his pants. I need to page back and check again. Thanks, bottlecap. That made me laugh out loud, and after a long, grueling day, it was especially sweet. The animation, well that sorta made me laugh, too.
  17. : I live in PA - just outside of Philadelphia. I have no idea of where to order it, but I could send some to you. PM me if you want me to do that.
  18. I use Merkin's chocolate to make chocolate covered pretezls, rasin clusters and to dip one side of butter cookies in at Christmas time. It's good for make at home candy, but I don't think they sell bars or anything. It comes in little discs that you melt. I get it at a local farmer's market. Speaking of farmer's markets, shady, you asked about Reaing Terminal Market. It's in Philadelphia. Sounds like it should be in Reading, though.
  19. I'm just watching him sing. I. am. I believe you, JaMar :28: I never notice what's going on in Clay's crotchal area until someone brings it to my attention. :29: Scarlett, Reading Terminal market really is a great place. I used to go there often. Thanks for the reminder.
  20. That's an easy one for me. I've skipped a Clay concert 2 years in a row (3 after this year) because it was on my father's birthday. He'll be 85 this year, and I wouldn't miss that for Clay. But..... I must admit that the decision is easier for me since I have other options in this area. Sometimes the good fortune of being an East Coast Clay Fan is almost embarrassing. If the Phillies were in the World Series.... I'd skip Clay. As JaMar said, such an event is too rare to miss. Clay will be around again. A funeral - that's another story.
  21. The first thing that comes to mind is "playing with the wood." Clay didn't say it--an audience member did--but the expression on his face was priceless. Ah, Williamsport, last Christmas tour. I almost hyperventilated from laughing so hard that night. Between "playing with the wood" and the "eeee-lected offishal" bit, I cried off my mascara.
