  1. In past years, there's been quite a range of items...everything from Golf and vacation packages, to household items, to Avon products, to gift baskets of various types, to gift certificates/cards from local businesses....and of course some Clay-related items. The first year I went (2007) they went quite high and there was nothing that was in my price range (less than $200). Last year, there were more smaller items (at our suggestions and request, I believe); and more Clay-related items. Pictures, jewelry, a rocking chair, gift bags, more local-area gift cards, large travel packages....everything under the sun, really! This year, the Project has requested submissions for the Silent Auction~so I think we'll have even more variety, and I believe there will be some very affordable items. I would say count on having to spend at least $100 but there will be items which will go for up to $5000. Hope that helps!!
  2. We're still #1 on the CITGO Fueling Good September Fan Challenge with 187 votes.... Several of the other very deserving charities have taken a great leap upwards after their notifications yesterday, but we're still firmly in first place. If you are a Facebook member or have been planning on becoming a member, please vote! We are still firmly in #3 position at the Christie Cookie Contest. Our gain on the #2 placer has slipped a bit, so if you haven't voted ALL your email addresses yet, or have friends and family that you could ask to vote ALL of theirs....please do! It would mean the difference between $5000 and $1000 for programs at the National Inclusion Project! Thanks so much for all you've already done to get them to this position!!
  3. Claysmelody, see you at CITGO! :04: Eeeee-hah!! Off shortly to run errands, and will see if they have them here. Thanks, Fear! Laughn, glad you were able to get a ticket....see you there!
  4. I've just noticed as I hung around the CITGO site waiting for the announcement........that even though it's not September anymore, the CITGO contest doesn't end until tomorrow night at 5 PM ET! Sorry for the premature ej ummmm......excitement! Although we are handily in first place....if you haven't done so, and have a FB account...please do continue to vote! ....and I'll celebrate again tomorrow night
  5. :04: We are still #3 but gaining somewhat (300 votes overnight....) on the #2 placer at the Christie Cookie contest. This means the difference between $5000 and $1000 for the National Inclusion Project. So....if you have not yet voted using ALL of your email addresses, or could pass the message to friends who might be able to use ALL of their email addresses, that would be SO cool! From what I can see we are the WINNER of the Fueling Good September Fan Challenge, with 185 votes. To my knowledge, nothing has been announced yet....so don't take my word for it! but we did have the most votes by far at the end of the contest. This should mean a $2500 gas card for the use of the National Inclusion Project. Thanks so much for "Using your Voice" everyone!!
  6. Sitting here thinking of my orginal feelings of denial (I was sure that the People cover was a fake mock up by toadface for several hours), then when it was confirmed... a strange sense of sadness and loss (of a fantasy)... and a period of adjusting what I'd believed for such a long time... sadness for what he must have gone through on his journey to acceptance...some pissiness at some "fans" condemnation...I have a whole stream of thoughts running through my head. Oh and when I found out, I'd just come back from seeing Spamalot and it all seemed kind of surreal. If I'm being totally honest, I would say that I wish that he wasn't gay (selfishly for a sort of loss of a fantasy and for HIM for what all he must have gone through) BUT I'm happy that he seems so happy and at peace now. Well, call me Saps R Us2 then! LOVED that! Bolded the parts that especially spoke to me. And yes, canfly, some of that for sure too. Thank you for voting on the Facebook challenge! We are now solidly in #1 with 160 votes. We only need 107 votes to take over #3 in the Christie Cookie Competition. Is there anyone you can ask to help us vote, with ALL of their email addresses? Have you used ALL of yours? Thanks again everyone, for voting where it really matters!
  7. You won't see it until you become a fan. Good thought! If you weren't following the instruction list, that's probably what it is. I only know because I tried skipping that step. A-HA!!
  8. You won't see it until you become a fan. Good thought! If you weren't following the instruction list, that's probably what it is.
  9. No....it's just above and to the right of the "thumbsup". If you're seeing it saying "unlike" instead....you've already done it. ...but would you mind sending to any friends you can?
  10. PS....for those of you on Facebook....could you also "suggest" Citgo's Fueling Good contest to friends on Facebook? Just click HERE and then click on "Suggest to Friends" underneath their logo to the left of the page. Don't forget to attach a note before you send, to ask them to vote for the Inclusion Project....
  11. Yayyyy for #4 on the Christie Cookie contest, and doubly yaay for the worry about the emails addressed! Thanks, merrieeee! I'm going to repost my post from CV over here as well, in the hope that it might help someone vote for the second National Inclusion Project challenge! A few folks have found the directions helpful over there. ................................................................................ ................................................. So far, on the National Inclusion Project's second challenge, we have 140 votes....surely there must be more of us on Facebook, or that have been thinking about signing up for Facebook, that could add their "ilike" to this request? Here are the steps: 1) Sign in to Facebook, or sign UP for Facebook 2) Click HERE and click on "Become a Fan" at the top of the page. 3) Click HERE and find National Inclusion Project's picture....at the moment, it is at the bottom right of the first page...a group of kids gathered around a table, one little guy in a blue shirt kind of stands out in the pic 4) Click on the picture. 5) Under the picture description, click on "Like" (under the grey line). Thanks so much for any help with votes to get them a $250 gift card which can be used to help the Project! This one is simple....only one vote per user.
  12. No, no worries, not your problem...just stupid Google Chrome, and I knew it was. It DL'd one fine, then told me the whole works was virus'd (which I knew was not true) and wouldn't budge. Today...it was fine! *screw loose in Google Chrome* Eeeeeeeehhhhhhh!!!! Congrats!!
  13. I got it, thank you! Have been having some problem DL'ing the resumes and have worked every night since then LOL....but should be able to get back to you tomorrow or Thurs. Sorry for the delay!! Me too!! ......and I think you're right about the other job. I've become a little more wary about job descriptions too
  14. I have added you + 3 (correct?) but please do be aware that we are well over our allotment for the private room, so there is every chance that some people will be seated in the main restaurant area for their breakfast. This certainly doesn't preclude visiting back and forth!....and there is no formal "program" involved, just breakfast and friends....so it shouldn't be a big issue. Canfly, if you have a look at the info in the first post in this thread, all the information is there. They serve a buffet breakfast on Sunday AM; I've made arrangements to have them bill by table (which is a compromise~easier for them than a bill per person, and easier for us than one huge bill). No funds needed in advance. Annabear, I've removed you and annabearmom from the list.....SO sorry to hear you're not going to be able to make it! I know you wanted to be there.
  15. Yaaaaayyyy!!!! ....and me too..... I wonder if they would deliver some to us at the Gala??? hmmmmm......
  16. The National Inclusion Project is now #20 on the Christie Cookie list. Results Page ...and in the time I took to write and link this....#13.
  17. Eeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhh!!!! The National Inclusion Project has moved into the Top 30 on the Christie Cookie Contest! Christie Cookie contest It was also brought to my attention that your OFC membership includes a valid email address...which would be yourusername@clayonline.com. If Canadians would like to vote with a genuine US email address....that would be one! For those of you who have already used the addresses they have....please also use your OFC address!
  18. Yes, Claymatron, I realized that afterward, sorry, I should have realized...but I did the same thing luckiest did and crossed my fingers. Woo-hoo! to Clay's second-place finish and the VERY nice post about it on Tweeterwall. I think we done good! And eeeeeeeeeeeeee re the NYC studio!!
  19. Here's a little different poll to vote on! As far as I can see, no multiple votes and no "viruses" Please help us win this one, and the $25.000 for the National Inclusion Project! Christie Cookie Charity Giveaway Please vote for National Inclusion Project, Raleigh NC. Contact name is Aron Hall.
