  1. I had no idea that torts are always female. A friend found Allie in a...well...alley but couldn't keep her. She fit in the palm of my hand when I got her. We had to bottle feed for awhile. She is so loving but it's on her terms...still. She pats my face or pats my hand when she wants to be petted. She's 19 now. Still spritzes around like a kitten at times. Jazz, her brother, is a spit fire. He found me outside the door at school on a cold, cold November day. He talks all.the.time.
  2. Did I ever tell you I taught my black cat, Jazz, to sit? Uh-huh...he sits when he wants his treat. He also walks on a leash. He's been mistaken for a small dog but he is all cat. God love 'em.
  3. Yes, a HUGE solo and dance number...plus many other songs where they sing together. It is really an amazing part for him!!!
  4. Just got tickets for the weekend of February 23rd!!! That's our winter break at work.....center orchestra row H!
  5. OMG!!!!! OMG!!!! OMG!!!!! Sir Robin? OMG!!! That part is HUGE and has a great song and dance. OMG!!!!! I can't stand it.
  6. First Fair report: From CV: From dancermom2: Report from Shine... Clay is there...just went backstage!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone...don't know who...got Clack. Navy striped hoodie Good jeans hair looks good - a little shorter GoldsboroAikenFan has video of his going in!
  7. Quick catch up...Clay...Spamalot....too much fun in one setting! Best quip of the day: "Tea, a drink with Janet Gray". I laughed so hard my partner came out of his office to see what was so funny!!!! My favorite was always: "Knock, knock, knockin' on Kevin's door" but this one beats it out
  8. Here's my thought, for what it's worth. I think his very own church has the same stance on gay people. I think most churches do. That is why I think he isn't viewing it as a "church concert" as much as a Christmas concert in a venue that doubles as a church. I also believe that Jesse and Sean were in on the decision as to whether or not to book there. I have absolutely NO inside info. so this is all just my feelings on how I think Clay would respond. Should he cancel? Dunno...if Jesse and Sean are ok with it, does that make it right....dunno that, either. *HUG*
  9. I don't agree with their teachings, either, but I don't view it as the "church" hiring him. That church rents its auditorium to many people. I know the person who wired that church and, I gotta tell you, it isn't wired for your typical Sunday choir. The people who have the most to deal with in this equation are Jesse and Sean. I would assume that it was discussed with them prior to any contract signing, but that is just my assumption. I can't imagine Clay putting them in any situation that would be uncomfortable for them. Could be wrong, often am. ETA: Yes! Julia!! Thank you!
  10. That could have been any of the group numbers*g* I know, heh, ...she was the hairdresser...it is right on the tip of my tongue.....ARRRRRGH....
  11. Isn't there a picture out there of him staring at...oh crap, I forgot her name...he was standing between Carmen and....demmit what is her name...and was staring right at her cleavage. Sort of like this:
  12. It was both. Chexxxy's blog ignited most of this...as usual. I still have no idea what her intent is, besides being the "bestest fan evah". JP went nuts when the first blog was posted. I guess he started adding things up and realized he'd been HAD...big time. The thing that bothers me the most is that these people are messing with fire. He is dangerous and poking him doesn't do anything but make things worse for Clay...in my opinion.
  13. I agree, couchie. Can I call you that? JP is in this up to his eyeballs. He was on his rampage about Clay "defrauding" him and sent out the word prior to finding out he had actually been talking to "Fake Clay" for over a year. He couldn't take it back so he created another reason for his behavior. Pathetic, really.
  14. He went to the NE about the church in Wichita. There is a picture of the prick with his pants undone and the story is just ridiculous. I don't wish ill on people but, man, that guy needs to feel some pain.
  15. I don't venture out of FCA very much these days, but I had to recently and caught a bit of this from fans who seem bent on forcing a commercial Christmas show out of Clay. I really want to say to people... If it's not your cup of tea, well and good. Go off to Vegas for the holidays and just sneak back into the fandom in the summer -- no need to raise your blood pressure because Clay forgot to mind-meld with you before planning this (or any part of his career). Better yet, write Quiana a letter so the rest of us can have a good laugh when he reads it out loud on stage. Or, knowing you, secretly hang on to your tickets and sneak back on to the representing lists when you realize that he's still as irresistible, entrancing and adorably yummy as ever. (and sings purty too!) If Clay were looking to do JNT the quickie way, he would just: (1) get Jesse to pick a dozen whatever songs with varying tempos (2) hold a couple of practice sessions (3) shake out those pants from JNT04 (and maybe add a rivet or two) (4) run his fingers through his hair and he's all set. Singing is something he can do with little or no practice, while simultaneously thinking about the pizza he had for lunch. With the way the current plan is structured, there's a LOT of EXTRA work for him because HE has to make it work. Yes, fans can be boring. He needs to think through that, plan as much as he could and then be on his toes at every show. Are we so warped that in order for something to be entertaining, it mustn't touch us? Anything that goes beyond appealing to our basic senses necessarily has to be cheap and cheesy and worthless? Clay isn't a member of the eHP (or did you sneak him in through the back, KAndre?) but he can find the most non-boring ways to send messages like, "let's make the world a better place -- so when we finally achieve world domination, we'll get better property values." Also, didn't anyone see this as an opportunity for a fan who sits on the 55th row (does that exist? /jk) to have an equal chance to come interact with him as the usual suspects on the first 5 rows? *shakes head* Unconditional -- you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. [tm:IƱigo Montoya to Vizzini] Me too, if it comes with arrows.
  16. This is not meant to be personal in any way, jumpingjacks, and I have no doubt that groups do this all of the time, but I have to think there is a perceptible difference between performing a song with conviction of someone who adored it, and preforming it with conviction because you feel it. I don't know. If not, well, I think I'll just hold on to the illusion. As I said, I can be naive about these things. I think of the phrase we hear so often about 'keeping it real.' I think there's a lot of merit to that. I really don't want to hear someone sing something because it sounds good. I want to hear it because it's real. Not literally real, of course, but that it comes from some part of them that they relate to on whatever level. I think that's one of the things I don't like about many, but not all glory notes by power singers. They don't always communicate something real to me. They sometimes seem like musical muscle flexing. Now, of course, there are some that are perfectly placed, and work beautifully to communicate the sentiment (Solitaire and DSIAFCD, for examples of Clay glory notes I enjoy, but there are tons of others from various artists I could probably think of). It just comes down to what listeners want from music, I suppose, and that is not the same for everyone. Nothing personal taken. I was just throwing my two cents into the conversation. I will readily admit that there is a HUGE difference between my token singing in community groups to a professional performing in front of the masses. I would never assume to know how Clay feels about any of it. For me, the glory notes sometimes feel like "look what I can do and how long I can go without taking a breath". The two songs you posted are really the only ones where I appreciate that ability....well...I do like Celine Dion's "River Deep/Mountain High"...
  17. I am not a professional singer but I have been involved in lots of groups, etc. and I gotta tell you, there are times when you sing songs just because it's expected. I've had a few instances where I absolutely HATED the song but sang it with all the conviction of someone who adored it. It's a performance. Clay may have liked BFM at one time, I dunno. I didn't particularly like it because it seemed like his voice was forced and the song sounded "tinny" to me. Just my opinion.
  18. I listened to the Loverboy version....absolutely HORRID and I didn't like the song to start with! YIKES.
  19. I sold the Omaha ticket this afternoon. I am feeling a bit right now. Thanks for all the inquires.
  20. Thanks...it was a hard decision to make. Best seats evah! Oh well, life just isn't fair sometimes.
