  1. Well, I watched both nights of AI this week, and right now, I'm not feeling the love for any of them. Some of the girls were ok, was not impressed with any of the guys, based on last nights performances. And that includes Casey. He's cute enough but I thought the only reason he sounded half way decent was because the others were so bad last night.

I read this over at CV. Apparently is was a quote from someone who follows AI but not specifically Clay. I love when others see it too.

QUOTE So far no one sings nearly as good as Clay or Carrie U! I'm not impressed as of yet! Hopefully they will get better but as always, if Clay walked on and sang anything "he would WIN"!!!!

I have been watching also, and I am not feeling the love for any of them. I was really disappointed in the top 24. I just do not get what some are seeing in Casey. He does nothing for me. I just do not see the sex appeal. Maybe it is a case that one has to be there to see it, feel it, whatever. I see nothing special in his voice either. I sort of like the one that looks like Janis Joplin, Crystal. But she did not do so great either this past week. I hope that they all get better as I am finding this season very boring. Maybe, like Simon, it is time for this show to go.

I also can not get into Casey. I thought during his audition that it was tachy to take off his shirt. Kara response was horrible while he was singing. My husband watched part of both nights and said after Wed. night. Were are the voices like Clay and Carrie.

Sorry for the second post, just getting use to the overall feel of the board. I have never quoted before because I had problems so I will see how this works.

  2. It has been very exciting reading all the positive articles about Clay's speech this weekend. It sounds like we may get a recap from a few attending. I really like it that he has written the speech himself.

I can not wait for March 12th to occur. For all those going please give us as much recap as possible. I would of loved to be able go but not at this time. I tell myself if he tours this summer I will not miss it. If it happens when I am bike touring I will find another state close by that I can attend. My concert friend is a go to travel.

  3. Have not been here for a few days because my bookmark link does not work. I finally googled and used a forum link I found. This does not give me the front information page. Can you tell me is there a new link since we made changes. I would sometimes use the web link for reading a few other message boards.

Congrats to all who got tickets. Wish I could go.

  4. Everyone going to GFI have a blast. I will be on vacaion skiing in Vermont for a week with no internet access. I can not wait till I am home next weekend to view the clack and read all about it.

For all of you having a huge snowfall I feel for you. Even though we are used to it I do not like driving in it and we have alot of snowplows. I usually get plowed out every morning when it snows by 5:30 am. At least our taxes pay for something.

See you guys in a week and I want some great pictures!!!!

  5. Congrat Akim I think that being able to take 1 or 2 classes a semester is not terrible. But then again I have not been in school for almost 38 years. My husband is working on his Masters. Lots of time but being unemployed he has the time. He is caring a full load to be done in 15 months. Then hopefully will get a job!!!

When looking at the amount of time that Clay has been in concert, on TV, and other things it is amazing how busy he has been. That shows those people who say he is lazy that he has definately earned his fame.

  6. I am with you guys and am excited about the CD. I love his voice and I am sure he will do a beautiful job on any song he tackles. PBS is so great. Our stations here sometimes are late to pick up specials so I probably will be reading about it well before I see it. They never did show the Bocelli's Christmas special. I am so ready to hear his voice.

  7. I called into work today because at 5:30 the roads were hazardous. It finally quit snowing, we got around 6 inches. They called me and wanted me to work, not in my unit but in a unit that had call ins. I have a problem with that because my drive on a good day is almost an hour. This would of taken me about 2 hours. On top of that I have learned in the past that I take the risk and the people that call in are within minutes from the hospital but because of schools being called off they have no sitter. When my children were that age and I was working I had plans when that would occur. In the 38 years I have worked there I have called in 5 times. I decided this am after watching the news I was not going to put myself through it. I called my unit this am and they say they are fine. The girls who live about 20 minutes from work said it took them one hour to get to work. I was glad I did not even try.

  8. Hi everyone, still here waiting for the man to show himself. I can not wait for the cd. My concert body and I were able, for the first time in about 4 weeks, to get together today. We sat and watched Christmas in the Hearland in Kalamazoo today. That voice is just beautiful and I can not wait for more. After watching this I really miss him. I have a ski trip planned the week of the GFI and no internet access. It will be hard to wait one week to read and see anything. Hope you all have a great new year and we get to see Clay over and over.

  9. Cindilu2 I was also there and it was wonderful even if I was in the balcony. This was my first Clay concert and I could not take my eyes off of him. There were two young ladies across from me and when Clay came off the stage and sang WAYDNYE and kiss the girl, they turned around and said"Thas not fair." The joy on their faces was fun to watch.
  10. Here in Michigan it is about 25 and we only got an inch last night of that white stuff. Started ski patrolling last weekend and do not have duty till Monday. Mostly done with Christmas stuff except for today I am heading out to grocery shop for Christmas Day. Only two gifts to wrap so I think other than cleaning my house tomorrow I am ready. Have to work both Tues and Wed. so I want to get everything major done this weekend.

Preden glad your daughter is fine, that is scarry. One thing I hate about working 50 minutes from home is the winter weather. Those salt trucks are not predictable, sometimes done and other times a nighmare.

I wish Clay would come out and play. I miss him.

  11. I am so hoping for a tour next summer. My only problem is that I am going on three bike tours and watch a concert will be in my area during one of them. I am not so sure if my hubby would agree to the exspense of travelling, but I will do my best to be very convincing. I have been so lucky because in previous years it as all worked out, I went on my tours, and the concerts were at the right time. All I can do is wish all will be well.

  12. My son and his wife stopped over this am for a light breakfast because they are going to her parents for dinner. My other son then came over for a short period of time to see them. His wife was busy cooking because that is where we are going for dinner. He wanted to see his brother because in December his family will be moving to Florida. This is going to be hard for me because they have my only grand child. One good thing is they will be withing one hour of my other son. I now we will survive this move but it is going to be hard.

Better get going and make my dishes I have to bring to dinner. Everyone have a great Turkey Day.
