I've been looking at the question for a day now and even though it's not a difficult question, the answer, for some reason, is not easy to explain.Writing down the reason has been next to impossible...the words in my brain do not translate to paper. Believe me I have tried, more than once. I guess all I can say is he's been stuck in my head since 2003....and I do mean stuck. It's a combination of music, the man and an unexplainable pull. He's like a freeking magnet.

I find it facinating to read these boards and watch the reactions of fans, young and old, to this talent from North Carolina. There is a passion that exists that is truly unique. People who are sure they know him when in reality they know "very little". He is very complicated and becoming more guarded as he moves through his career.

Guess that's why I lurk.....I'm still trying to figure out why the pull is so great for me...maybe by reading the stories, watching the love/hate relationship between the fans and the media and taking in the debates and the arguments and the reasonings of these devoted fans, I will be able to discover exactly why this person I don't know makes me hop planes and fly to the states ....enables me to talk with people I don't know from Adam and meet them for coffee.......guess I'm trying to find the answer by listening and watching.

OK...THAT'S ENOUGH MUSH.......Did I even come CLOSE to answering the question?? I've always had a problem condensing my material but I'm working on it. Thanks for the welcome. I do enjoy reading here.

Sorry ...didn't mean to come back so soon( now that didn't come out right...you are a delightful bunch a cocoanuts)...but the reference to the Access Hollywood thingy made me remember his Billy Bush interview and at the end Billy asked if the sex scandal had helped his career and Clay laughed..........not to burst any bubbles here but these entertainment shows don't tend to put new stuff on on the weekends...if ya get my drift.

It's been my experience that they tend to run repeats and try to make us think they're new articles by shifting them around. NOW, I COULD BE WRONG....I have been many times.....that's why I lurk....he,he.

I've become aware of conflicting reports about the number of rings on the Jaymes stump......50 seems quite popular but there are those inferring that the count is flawed and that there are in actuality 44 rings.Who has the resources to find the answer so that there is at least ONE fact right or even authenticated in this kerfluffel.

Where did the idea come from that Clay is not in the country?( I found that in my lurkdom somewhere...)I have so many thoughts, guesses , hunches and suppositions hurling through my addled brain, that I may never know the truth. As long as the voice and the body are intact I'll be fine.(Clay's not mine...thought I'd best clarify that..hmmm)

For a long time I have been known as "anonymous viewer" at this site....I always thought of myself as "a notorius lurker"....sounds more mysterious somehow.

Today, however , I thought I'd take the plunge into reality and let ya all know I am so enjoying reading all your posts. The interpretations,reasoning and humour are enlightening .The surprising clairvoyance of a few has caused me to smile, but in all of this the obvious love for the man still stands strong and that is very reasuring.(after lurking at some other boards, that is....shame on some of the OFC "fans")

I have never been one to let the media shove something down my throat and force me to swallow it.........I choose to give incoming info a really good chew first. My first reaction to this news was to laugh....don't ask me why. Maybe because so many attempts have been made to discredit him...I don't know why they do that either........but I do know that the truth will out, one way or another and in it's own good time. (ha,ha...something like the delivery time of a baby)

Just a bit of info..on Access Hollywood today they annouced that in the next segment they would show pictures and introduce us to the "mommy" of Clay's baby........they must have conveniently lost the tape because there was nothing about Clay in the last segment..... it just gets curiouser and curiouser, don't it.

What I do know is the man is hawt and the voice is amazing and I can't get enough. On that note I will step back into my sanctuary and wait for the next chapter in the ongoing saga that is Clay Aiken.
