  1. I think the problem with politics today is that there is too much " snark " and not enough concentration on how to get the parties together and actually find solutions for the problems of the country.....acing like children surely isn't working. They spend so much time on the game that they forget why they are there. Time to grow up, put the back-biting to bed and do some good, or a least look like you're trying.

So much for my opinion of politicians, but I will be interested to hear what Clay has to say when he actually speaks. :popcorngirl:

  2. I'm not sure we "actually" know what Clay is doing right now. He could be at a crossroad and just trying to decide which direction to go at this point in his life, stick with entertainment or check out the political arena. The possibility of him running is not set in stone, as far as I can see. It's a leak from somewhere in the universe...who knows he may just have been making inquiries and checking out possibilities and the media got hold of it and ran .....and of course the fans read the media and away they go. Think I'll make the choice to wait until I hear something definite, my mind reading abilities are not as good as they used to be...and they never worked where Clay is concerned. LOL One thing I do know..."I'm not going anywhere" (and there is no hidden meaning in these words)

  3. I can remember at one time Clay said that him becoming a singer was his mother's dream.....he always thought he would be a teacher and eventually a school principal....something like that. Does anyone else remember that or am I losing it here?

I do believe that Clay enjoys singing and entertaining (you can see it and hear it when he is on stage) but I truly believe that his passion is in helping others, teaching and making difference in this crazy world. I think this is a challenge for him and I think he has a lot of courage to want to try politics. I'm probably more nervous about it than he is...I think he has nerves of steel when it is something he believes in.

That doesn't mean I won't miss that voice....I'll just be waiting for it to come back.

  4. "Bad idea " is putting it mildly. I haven't never seen so many adults acting like whining children. I do believe it would be a good idea for some of them to get off the board for a while and get a life. JMO :popcorngirl:

We had a little bit of snow last night and even though I tend to complain about the cold and the white stuff, I have to admit it does bring out my Christmas spirit. Fa-la-la-la-la---la-la-la-la

  5. I've been watching the updates on the storms and I can't even imagine going through something like that. With all that devastation it's unbelievable that more lives weren't lost. So glad you finally got your power back and that you're safe, idyjocelyn. The good ole "computer fixer man" just finished getting a nasty virus off my computer and it's still acting up a bit...won't let me make a paragraph change...so please excuse the look of this post. That's a great picture of Clay, it's been a while since I saw him wear his glasses. He looks very happy and... hmm...mature.

  6. Wow....I am so glad that the Gala was so successful on this 10th anniversary. So many children have been helped by the foundation and I hope it keeps growing stronger in the years to come. I really enjoyed SVU last night. I thought they integrated the storyline and the singing contest so well at the beginning. Watching Clay "bopping" along to the music made me smile. Then again, he always makes me smile, so nothing new there. :cocktail:

  7. I was just reading on another board and they are now tearing apart past performances. Had to get out of there.

It reminds me so much of whiney , spoiled children. I don't know how easy it is to get on some of these boards, but I swear some of these people are haters just there to "stir the turd." Deep down I think some of these haters still follow him behind closed doors and this is the only way they can rationalize those feelings in their own minds, by trying to turn others against him. How's that for a theory?...not that I've been thinking about it. LOL

  8. I too was reading on another board and finally I gave up......some people really need a good knock in the head. Somehow, I think it's the same people over and over...I think it's their calling to "stir the turd." The me,me,me attitude is embarrassing to say the least. I can't even imagine what was in some of the emails that Jerry received. Maybe it's better I don't. :cocktail:
