  1. How appropriate is today's song... Who's Sorry Now? Hmmm, I'd bet more than a few of the folks who teased and taunted that gawky kid.

    Rawrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

    post-496-127721558386_thumb.jpg

Excuse me now while I go wipe the drool off my keyboard.

So true! Watched the clack, had goosebumps, practically in tears! I'm going to be a mess at my first concert in August, make note to myself, don't forget tissues, lol!!! :cryingwlaughter:

  2. cindlu2, thanks so much for the new wallpaper! That is my favourite picture from the photo shoot.

jmh123, thank you for the detailed recap. Awesome!

My mom just left a few minutes ago, with a copy of Tried & True in her purse. She listened to it once while she was here, and said she likes the song selection because she knows all the words already. She said she will listen to it on her ride home again. clap.gif

I've given a couple of cds as gifts and they just loved it!

I love crying, I love hearing him doing duets! But I love hearing and seeing him! :whistling-1:

  3. I haven't done any Clay graphics in a long while, but I love this photo from the CD booklet so much I had to give it a shot.

    (biggie size)

    (regular size)

    (wide screen size)

    Love that pic!

My husband and the kids went to our local flea market this morning so I am here alone listening to Clay. I don't get many opportunities to play his CD's in the house so I am taking full advantage...this is my third listen! Also baked a chocolate cake as that is hubby's favorite.

    Kim

Me too I don't get to listen to Clay in the house, only with earphones!!! in the car they have no choice or they walk!!!

  4. Finally got my deluxe cd today, but I was surprised as it said delivery date june 14th that from amazon.com. I have another one that was delivered at my daughter's in Vermont but not sure when she'll be here to bring it. It's amazing, love Build me up butter cup, love his facial expressions! It must have such a great show to see live as some said "magical", can't wait to see him live in August!!! :04:

  5. I think Clay goes all out emotionally in this song. It's as if this was the question he's always asked himself. His voice is not so pure and has some vibrato in it to further emphasize his emotions.

I loved his phrasing in this song. Among my favorites: "what kind of lips are these" and "live my life".

The saxophone solo, to me, represents the plantive cry of the lonely man.

Although not my absolute favorite, I want to get up and dance cheek to cheek when I hear it..

ETA: lucky ducky aikim. We'll have to live through you.

    which song is it?

Got my Hammond tickets today...so pretty...been a long time since I've seen a Clay Aiken ticket, LOL!

Also...Clay is going to be in the studio for the PBS Special...so we get to see him during pledge breaks...I am so excited! I will try and post as much as I can and take notes!

    Kim

Looking forward to seeing what a clay aiken concert tickets looks lol!!! :cryingwlaughter: will see in August, travel buddy has the tickets!

  6. {{{preden}}} Hang in there, you are not wrong.

    Thanks for the encouragement!

Gave my sister a copy of TNT today and she just called to tell me she just loves it and hopes it will sell well! She had voted for on AI but not a big fan. My other sister was also given by me a cd and listens to it in her car and loves it too!

  7. Can't Take My Eyes Off You: Love it as the first song, as well. The bass playing first really gets me into the right anticipation for his voice, which is smoky and suave in the first part. The chorus gets me moving and finger-snapping. Then it's capped off with a nice long note... I love long notes by Clay. N.I.C.E.

    jmh... I love your review!

Well, it might not have been Reed, but 'post from computer' is easy if one has a laptop.

EEE...loving the Clay pics! Keep 'em comin'! :)

And EEE for my high school graduate. We had a very busy day and everyone is going to bed early. heh

    00lsee... Congrats!!! on your graduate!

Who'd have thought Claymates would be held up as a good example of fans!??

The times, they are a changin'

wanda... BWAH!!! Things they are a changin' for dang sure! I love it and say bring it on!!!

Just loved the interview, helps me understand things about someone coming out. It was fun hearing talk like that and explaining things, understand how he is guarded to give info about his relationship and not wanting to show pics of Parker. Just can't wait for the concerts in August, how am I going to stand waiting for them!

Your post makes me very happy, preden. :bighug:

Welcome to the world of wishing your summer away for Clay! :teehee2:

I've heard some disturbing things at my church lately, like it was wrong for me to accept homosexuality and that I'm in the wrong as much as they are and I was glad to hear clay talk about coming out and how his family reacted, just love the guy just the way he is! In fact I just love homosexuals and heterosexuals alike. I'm a people person!!!

preden... Just smile and love them and go your own way. Do not take it personally if you can manage it, as it is their problem. If you want to stay there, you'll have to find a way to deal with the problem. I'm sorry this is happening to you. Being a Clay fan is easy, but sometimes it is not easy, if you get what I mean. LOL

I had a very good friend who is very Christian and really lives what she thinks God wants, doing mission work, etc. When Clay came out, she said she had to stop supporting him because the bible said it was wrong. She was very sad, as she had supported him in many fund raisers/concerts/etc. over the years. What I told her was, "the bible talks about the size of the rod it's correct for the husband to use to beat his wife... do you support that"? Of course she didn't, but the stuff against gays, she supported. Tell me how that makes sense.

One of the main things from the bible for me is, "Love thy neighbor as thyself." How do you do that and have such judgment against others? You can't.

Clay looks at people and sees their hearts, not how much they weigh or how old they are or... To me that is the ultimate in Christianity... and class. The man is F.I.N.E. on all levels, especially his heart. If more people were like him, there wouldn't be so much hatred in this world. [end soapbox]

Thanks for the help, it's appreciated!

There are no words to describe how much I love Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You. It's also my daughter's favourite song from the album. I just love the tempo, the vocals, everything about it!

    I love it too!

  9. When I was checking out her blog this morning I clicked on the Amazon link to see the video clip (from the deluxe edition) they have on his page now and I noticed something I hadn't before. The part with Suspicious Minds when he sings 'caught in a trap' they show him posing for one of the photos on the golf course... at the sand trap. Heheh.

Oooh, did I know that this video was available on the website? I guess I should have, but I didn't, so I just went and watched it. Looks like the only part missing is the Eso Beso clip of Clay singing. It was cool to see on the big screen, and really makes me anxious for the PBS special in it's entirety!

I ordered a US copy this morning....the blog got to me. cryingwlaughter.gif I want to make sure I at least am representin' in the first week's numbers.

Did you pay the regular shipping fees? I'm so looking forward to the tour! Just ordered a US copy too!
